Salutations, Hunter

It's me, General Crystal, again. Any time will work for us. Just come down to the Resistance base and one of our members will glady speak with you. Our base is just east of the city of Mer, which is down near the coast in southeastern Kyngdom. I personally might not be there, but Colonel Delta Darkfeather and Lieutenant Berenice Starwatcher are usually always there. Delta is a blackbird, and Berenice is a barn owl. Both are two of my most trusted spies. Our leader, General Mina, would probably love to speak with you, but she is normally very busy, since she's also Queen of the Dolor Felis. But our engineer and General Sprocket can usually be found working on the automatons at the base. Any other Generals would probably love to meet you!

May Lunee light your path, General Crystal Permafrost

Greetings, Generael Crystal Permafrost.
We thank you for inviting us to the Resitance's base. Laquira, Kencha, and I will come as soon as possible. My scouting parties have requested a map of Kyngdom, if there is one. That would greatly help us.
Until the sun shines on us again,
Hunter of TRP

(Bomani the pangolin is also coming to the meeting, right, Sybill?)

Nesbit~

The sunset is beautiful tonight, painting the sky with streaks of purple and red and orange. Right now, Bleak Peak is nothing but a tall, black silhouette against a fiery backdrop.

Bomani and I crouch in a bushy thicket until twilight comes and goes and the stars begin to show their faces. Any minute now, the moon is going to come up, round and full, and illuminate the darkness with its silver sheen. It's time to head around to the meeting place.

We emerge from the bush and begin the long trek to the other side of Bleak Peak. When we reach the meeting place, the full moon has risen, and the little grassy clearing is awash in cold white light.

Now, it's only a matter of time before we get to meet The Red Paw...

My breath comes out ragged. The wind whistles as Everest, Feather and I travel towards Bleak Peak. Feather has already informed me that Nesbit and another companion were waiting for us.

As we rounded a corner, I smelled fox and what seemed to be pangolin. I could tell Everest had smelt it too, because she glanced at me, then at Feather. We both knew that the healer and a certain chicken named Alierenn were quite close, and that Alierenn herself had been chased away from her flock by a fox.

I looked reluctantly at Feather, then at the clearing in front of us. Feather seemed to notice my nervousness and landed on my shoulder. He nodded at me, signaling that we should proceed.

We padded into the clearing, Everest slightly behind me. I fixed my golden gaze on Nesbit, the small fox standing proudly with the pangolin still slightly in the bushes around the moonlit clearing.

“We meet at last.” I nodded respectfully to Nesbit. “This is Everest, a warrior…” Everest dipped her head, clearly prideful in being the warrior I brought with. “... and Feather, a healer.”

Luckily, Feather seemed able to hold in his grudge against foxes. He, too, bowed and puffed out his chest a little.

“It’s nice to finally meet you, Hunter.” Nesbit smiled softly at Everest and Feather. “And your companions. This is Bomani.”

“Greetings, Bomani.” I turned back to Nesbit. “Now, let’s begin.”

Bomani~~

"Greetings, Bomani. Now, let's get started," Hunter purrs smoothly . The dark leopard and his friends were impressive, at the least. They looked strong, smart, and above all, well-trained.

I nod. "Yes. It's an honor to meet you. I hope you enjoy your time in Kyngdom, even with the war," I type quickly into my small machine.

Hunter nods. "Anyways. What do you think best to discuss first?"

Nesbit pauses for a moment. "Catastrophe poses the biggest threat currently, but BIG has come back and they're bound to start searching or new and old test subjects. SOCS has been shut down for a while, and the Resistance is slowly forming an alliance with us. We've heard rumors about a secret Power-worshipping organization, however."

" Powers? Oh, yes, the six beings who are the creators of your land, correct? " Hunter purrs. I nod.

"They're very dangerous. BIG awakened a few of them a while back and they did alot of damage. It's much safer if we kept them locked away in their instruments." I type. " That's why we have issues with the Resistance. They believe the Powers are to be awakened and that they should be free. I don't think they realize how dangerous that is. "

"It sounds like the best thing to do is to find all these Powers. Are there any that you happen to be looking for right now?" Hunter asks.

Hunter~

”It sounds like the best thing to do is find all of these Powers. Are there any that you happen to be looking for?” I question. “Because we recently found this necklace. At the bottom of the sea. One of my water scouts found it, deep in a underwater ravine.”

”Can I see this... necklace?” Nesbit asked, clearly intreaged.

As soon as her paw touched it, her eyes went black, and she snarled. That all happened in a split second, then Nesbit went back to normal, gasping like she had been holding her breath for hours.

”F-fang...” the fox choked out.

“What?!” Feather asked sharply.

”It’s... it’s the Power of Fang.” Nesbit gazed at me, deep meaning in her gaze.

Hey hunter!

So I sorta have a plan for claaws, the Power of Fang, and she’s not quite ready to be found yet. And just a correction for the future, her instrument is a black trumpet.

Star: Are you still accepting members into your group? My sister and I are really interested in what we've seen so far of your group, and we'd like to assist you in any way possible.

Moon: I do have one question before we join, though-- where do you stand in the current conflict? Answer truthfully.

Hi Claaws!

I was thinking maybe this could be a fake. Or maybe the trumpet could be inside the necklace, but it expands once in opens? I just read that the Power of Fang's guradian is always a panther, so I thought that maybe I (Hunter) could be the guardian?

Thanks for informing me!

NAME: Star

SPECIES: Wolf/human (shapeshifter)

JOB/TITLE: None yet

APPEARANCE: In human form I have short black hair, bright blue eyes, and a burn scar on my left arm. I carry a pair of swords. In wolf form, I'm a large, sleek black wolf with bright blue eyes and a burn scar on my left side.

PERSONALITY: I'm very smart and witty, and have good battle strategy most of the time. I'm a little impulsive, though, and tend to lose my temper and become reckless when I notice injustice.

HOME: Nowhere at the moment.

TERRAIN MOST ADAPTED TO:  My sister and I were born in the forest, but we've traveled a lot lately, so we're pretty good at navigating lots of different terrains.

FRIEND OR MENTOR: My sister, Moon.

CERTAIN ENEMY OR RIVAL: BIG

STRENGTHS:  I'm very strong and a good fighter, and I can shapeshift between my wolf and human form, as I mentioned before.

WEAKNESSES: I have a temper and I'm a little impulsive.

BACKGROUND: When we were very young, a great storm destroyed our pack's current camp, and the den that my sister and I were in with our mother and siblings was struck by lightning. Our siblings were either killed or missing after the lightning struck, and our mother was nowhere to be found. The elders believe the lightning was the source of our shapeshifting powers.

I'm also pretty smart.                                    WEAKNESSES: My sister would probably say so, but I don't think protecting her is a weakness, so I'll just say that I don't tend to show weakness if I can help it.                                      BACKGROUND: Same as my sister's.                                          SPECIAL ABILITIES OR SPECIAL SKILLS: Besides my shapeshifting and wisdom I gained from the elders, I don't have a lot going for me. Ooh, I like the idea of it being fake. What if it's a trap from Jaaws? It could have brazen goo in it. Maybe, if they do end up finding Sylvia, the necklace could affect her if she touches it!

Nesbit~ (Nesbit is male, by the way. Sorry, I never mentioned that before!)

I stare at the necklace, and my heart beats frantically in my chest. "Fang," I repeat, and the syllable is barely audible over the chilly wind rising from the north.

B-but it can't be-- my mind stammers. Claaws fell into the ocean. She's dead. My friends saw it happen.

"Where did you say you found this?" I ask hoarsely.

"The ocean," Hunter replies quietly. "Did you say this was the Power of Fang?"

Everything I was prepared to announce--my speech about finding Sylvia, and how getting her drum is of utmost importance--disappears from my mind. I cock my head and stare at the necklace again.

"It...it certainly...seems like it," I say slowly. How did it get here? Is it real? Why did it do that to me?

I reach out a paw again. I don't know why it seems like a good idea to touch it, but I go for it anyway. As soon as my paw pads meet its smooth, cold surface, I feel a shock of ice, and a dark, rabid feeling wells up inside me. But it doesn't make me snarl like it did before.

I blink and glance over at Bomani. He seems just as perplexed as I am. I can tell his mind is pulling apart this mystery at this very moment. "I was going to say we should find Sylvia," I conclude slowly, "but this--I think we need to learn more about this."

Oooh, I like the idea of it being a trap from Jaaws. Maybe she created it as a trap for the Resistance or FaFA, but it was found by the Red Paw? Perhaps she wanted the Resistance or FaFA to give to a Power (Sylvia or Lunee, presumably) and hurt them with Brazen Goo?

Bomani~~

"Wait," I type, "Somebody should keep this hidden. Maybe you, Hunter--you seem strong enough to protect it. But we need to find the other Powers, still! And maybe they know how to activate or protect it."

Hunter nods. "Perhaps. I'd be glad to take the necklace into my care. Nesbit and Bomani, where do you tnink the other Powers are?"

Nesbit thinks. "Ren is staying with the Resistance for a little bit. They're discussing things about Catastrophe, but maybe they know something about the Powers. However, we believe the Power of Hoof might be somewhere in the woods--according to legend, Sylvia lived in the woods."

" Back home, I'd heard a little about the Powers. Wasn't Sylvia a unicorn? Unicorns like woodlans, I think, " Hunter purrs.

"Yes, but, which woods? And how are we supposed to keep the Power of Fang from being stolen while searching for Sylvia?" I type.

(January 29, 2019 - 3:35 pm)

(Yeah, a trap seems about right... But what about the real one??)

Hunter~~

"I'd take a guess and say the forest is problably not visited often, or impossible to navigate. Unicorns are bright, yes? Sylvia would want to stay hidden, so she can protect the Power." I though aloud.

Everest spoke up.

"Maybe we should ask Basil."

Nesbit shoots a questioning look at me.

"Another healer. She works well with mythical creatures, once wrote a monsterology book. It's quite a passion." I explain. "Everest, if you would like to run back to camp and fetch her, that would be easier than planning another meeting."

Everest nodded and turned. As soon as she exited the clearing, my ears picked up a howl in the distance.

"What...?"

My blood ran cold as I decipherd the message.

"Quick, we need to get back to camp. Catastrophe is attacking."

~~~~~~
(What should the necklace really be? And, would it be okay if I (Hunter) were still the guradian? Maybe we should find Sylvia then she could hint on where the real one is?)
Moon and I stand near the Red Paw meeting place. Her white hair blows dramatically in the wind as she assesses the situation.
"We're late," I remark.
"I suppose we are," said Moon absently.
"What's up?" I ask her, turning away from the meeting place to look at my sister.
"Listen," she says.
"Yeah, yeah. Blah blah, Power of Fang, blah blah, necklace, blah blah, the world's in danger and we've got to save it again. The usual stuff. I don't even know what the Power of Fang is."
"All I know I learned from the pack elders," says Moon. "And they didn't exactly know what it was either."
"So... should we go find out?" I ask. "Do you think it's safe?"
"What do you think, sister?"
"I don't know. I don't sense anything off, besides the usual 'oh no we've got to save the world' faces, and I'm used to those by now," I tell Moon.
"I don't sense anything off either," Moon agrees. "Let's go in and see if they can help us."
"You mean see if we can help them,"  I tell her.
"If it's required."
We enter the camp together.
