I'm getting really excited thinking about how Kyngdom would affect and be affected by a black market. True neutral trade, a benefit to anyone and everyone. Our charries need to get their equipment from somewhere, and when you're on the run or evil, you might not go for regular businesses. Also, if you're looking to make some money fast and easy, you may consider targeting shady customers. It's dangerous but also potentially lucrative. I'm already forming a narrative; some guy hears about labs wanting animals for experiments (especially after the Resistance and other organizations bust them out) and decides to become a supplier, but a more virtuous soul manages to track them and perhaps others like them down and deliver some vigilante justice.

With both the incoming and held supply of animals being threatened, scientists will be hard pressed to continue their research. They're getting tired of these constant interruptions. All they want is to do science in peace, and how are they supposed to accomplish that when they have to start all over again every other week? Security will have to be improved, and who to turn to for that but the primary military power opposing your attackers, the boy king Catastrophe, who may even offer you further employment in return for protection? Yes, this could work... This could work very well indeed...
