Sage Rp Thread!!

Okay.

So.

If ya wanna know what a Sage is, it's best to read the Calling all Powers... Thread.

First, I think maybe we should create a list of Sages. The only set ones so far are Albero, Piiri, and the Flower Carrier(?).

So...Yeah. That's all.

@Pairing

Um, I don't really understand what you mean by"I dare because you are not my equal. I am your leader, and you'd better learn that pretty quickly or you will be rejected from my favor, and once my good favor is lost it is lost forever" . Is this more of a democracy thing with you as the president or a monarchy with you as the absolute dictator? I don't mean to be rude, but I think you can understand why we are wary of supreme leaders (coughcougjcoughcatastrophecoughcough).

Abrany~

Albero comes back out of his vision and begins to tell the rest of us about it. I listen warily. Though I have not received the visions myself, I was sure that they would come.

Albero finishes speaking and they begin to discuss the best plan of action. I take the opportunity to study each of them.

Albero seems friendly and kind enough, but he is obviously lacking in aggression and violence. Hindar is jaded, but contains a sense of self-importance that immediately annoys me. Fyor seems eager to please and overall very disrespectful towards anyone who disagrees with her. And Piiri...

I feel annoyance and dislike well up inside of me. I did not travel all of this way to be lorded (or ladied as the case may be) over by some self-righteous and immature creature that obviously puts too much stock in-

My thoughts are interrupted by the Flower Carrier. She approaches me, swimming to the part of the river bank near where I stand with a few flicks of her graceful tail.

"Abrany," she says, her voice powerful and kind at the same time. I feel my anger slowly start to melt away and an indescribable calm comes over me. This was who I followed, the one thing that was able to convince me to travel away from my herd and embark on this journey.

"Yes, mistress," I say, meeting her gaze.

She beckons me to a spot out of earshot of the others. I follow, wondering what she wants to say to me.

Turning to me, the Flower Carrier begins to speak.

"I did not choose you for this journey for you to disrespect my other chosen ones, dear. I understand that this is new to you, but you must learn to accept that others may be more suited for leadership than you."

I cross my arms and raise one eyebrow slightly.

"I am sorry, mistress, that I caused you any distress. I understand that my treatment of the others might have been too harsh considering the circumstances. But I will not put up with being accused of being a power hungry snob that feels as if she should be in charge. If you really knew me enough to know that I was right for this task, then you would know that I have never wanted power nor fame. Yes, I feel like these others that I am forced to associate with are below my caliber, but that feeling is driven by an inner pride for my herd and race. I am sorry if I insult you by saying this, but their chosen leader was in the wrong as well. I do not care what provoked it, but I did not deserve to be approached to like that as if I was a misbehaving foal. Let me remind you that I did not sign up for this task, and I will not stand for disrespect such as that towards my race. I am a centaur, and you know just how long we can hold a grudge."

The Carrier smiles at me.

"You really wanted to get that out of your system, didn't you?"

I nod, a hint of a smile barely lifting the corners of my mouth.

She sighs, staring down at the water swirling around her.

"I understand your position and feelings completely, Abrany. I also understand that you might not get along with the other Blessed. But I am asking you to at least try to be civil. You all have a grave task ahead of you, and you all must remain strong to fulfill it. You can't afford to argue like small children."

I nod, feeling the weight of her words.

The Carrier begins to swim back towards the others and I follow.

"Perhaps I will speak to Piiri and explain your position," she says as we reach them.

I nod once again and go to stand outside of the group of the Blessed.

Again, I apologize for my character's rudeness. I am only acting in charrie and don't mean any of the things said about your characters by mine.

Yeah, sorry if I seemed like a tyrant at this point. Piiri is now a new Piiri, a leader who will not tolerate idiocy. I am not saying that Abrany is an idiot, I'm saying that Piiri thinks what she's placing in her species is idiotic. She sees Abrany as trying to take over her (Piiri's) destined role of leader, and this a threat to all the Blessed stand for, ie harmony, acceptance, friendship, et cetera. @???, that was a quote said by Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. I just thought it would fit. ;)

Piiri~

Mother takes Abrany aside for a little bit. They converse about something (I do not like to eavesdrop) and Mother lets Abrany take her own leave. She turns to me with a sniff, but I bite my cheek to keep from snarling. Abrany's face turns from distaste to slight disappointment. I smile inside. Ah, not a genuine snob, a tester (one who challenges another's authority in order to test their mettle). Maybe we'll get used to each other. Maybe we'll even be allies!"

"Piiri!" Mother calls. I sit down next to her. She looks me squarely in the eye, but I do not flinch or avert my gaze. "Abrany will be your friend, you know." She starts. "I did not choose her for her beauty, I chose her because she will help you, and can I tell you something?" Mother leans in close to whisper in my ear. "I bet you'll be fast friends before midnight tonight, but you, Piiri, must make the first move." She slides down more in the stream. I sit there, thinking. I look over to Abrany. Instead of mistrust and hatred, in my heart wells a feeling of... A fresh beginning. The slate is clean. I begin to plan 'my first move', but Mother interrupts my thoughts.

"Gather around, my children! I have something to do in front of all of you." He turns to me and beckons me with a flick of a dainty finger. I scoot closer to her. Mother addresses the others. "Today I officially nominate Piiri as the leader of the Blessed Ones. Are there any objections to my choice?" Of course, Abrany stands up. "Why do you object to Piiri being leader?"

Abrany lifts an accusing finger and points at me. "Because Piiri is unfit for the position. She is a self-centered, selective little brat who doesn't care a bit about any of us." She stated proudly. Mother smiled.

"And what proof, Abrany do you have that you have stated honestly who you are talking about? You have known Piiri for little more than a few hours, and she cleaned your hooves when they were dirty, welcomed you into her group, and the first thing you do is turn on her and lower her and her friends to the level of lampreys. I think you should repeal your objection and think about how Piiri's actions are justified. Piiri. You must learn to be the best leader you can be. I know this is new, but give Abramy a chance." Mother looked expectantly at me. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I nodded once, then turns to Abrany. I bowed my head to her. "Abrany. I am sorry I snapped at you and scared you half to death. I was not happy with you for insulting Albero and Fyor, and I acted rashly out of protectiveness, both for my friends and my new rank. I hope you can forgive me so that we can finally be allies." I peer up at her. Abrany's eyes are brimming with tears, and she laces her fingers together to keep them from fidgeting. She gulps and says

"Okay. We should try again together. She turns to Fyor and apologizes to her. Fyor accepta and apologizes as well. They both return their attention to me and Mother. Mother holds my head in between her hands and kisses my forehead. Where her lips touch my scales, a silver keenthief paw print appears. Instantly, over the hearts of the other Blessed Ones appear a hoof print on Abrany, a dragon's paw print on Albero, a cats paw print on Hidar's, and a fox's paw print on Fyor. Mother smiles.

"You are now inseparable. You also now have the ability to speak through your minds to each other. No one can take awaythe connection you have with each other."

Albero ~

I trace the paw print on me gently. It's beautiful.

Then I hear sobbing. Loud sobbing. But nobody else heard it. But it's coming from my cabe.

The flower carrier's eyes lock on mine.

"I, um, need to...check something," I say quickly.

she nods.

"Go, Albero. There is something I need to discuss with the rest of the Blessed, anyways. "The flower carrier knew.

In my cave is Majnun.

" Majnun, what happened? " I ask gently.

"I..I n-never had anybody l-like th-that. N-nobody ever c-cared  about m -me. My m-mother d-don't like m-me because I'm m-mentally ill a-apparently." Majnun sobs.

" Majnun, " I whisper, "I care."

his tear stricken face turns to me. "You do?"

I nod.

Darkness swirls around him. He is 'here' now. Others can hear him and see him.

He leans into me.

"I care about you, too," He says.

I grin. "I know. You're not evil."

" you thought I was evil at first, huh? " He says, grouchy.

I nod. And then he laughs. Very loud, and very insane.

It attracts attention.

Abrany steps in.

"Who...is...that?!?" She demands, " Tell me exactly. He shouldn't be here. "

"You know his name. It's Majnun. Hes..my distant cousin. He's also a Cursed One." I say honestlyq.

" we're supposed to be getting rid of the Cursed, Albero, not comforting them. "Piiri says, sticking her head in. Clearly disappointed, too.

" Whoa, whoa. Slow down! You see, I'm the best Cursed One! You know, the good one, " Majnun claims.

"None of you are good!" Piiri yells. She swipes at him, but he vansihes.

I calm her down.

"He is the one the flower carrier said might help us," I explain, " And besides, he keeps showing up here! "

Piiri sighs "I don't want him to trick you, Albero."

" I know, " I sigh, "But I'm done keeping secrets. Piiri, only you know about Yin. It's time I tell the world. I want to remember her better."

when I walk out, the flower carrier is gone.

I call the other Sages to the center.

"I am done hiding my past," I begin, " It is time I tell you of a friend. To remember her. Because for me, it's her who truly brought me here. "

The others give me questioning glances.

"Her name was Yin. She was a wolf, a talented healer, and a friend. She was kind. She taught me more about healing. Until she died.

I take a deep breath.

" she was murdered. By terrible monstrous things. I made her a burial place. It was sacred to ms. And I played her a song.

"I felt something in me stirr. Later, I went to her favorite stream  to mourn her. That is where the flower carrier came to me. After I was given the l petal, I did not want to go. But I though of Yin. And her memory is what guided me here."

all the sorrow and loss I once felt has vanished. Fyor has tears in her eyes as she says, "We should all share our pasts. Tonight."

@Piiri: Dari being that powerful, controlling Catastrophe, and tricking Jaaws changes already-set events. You can read them here: http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/kyngdom-rp/node/225163

Can you tell me your thoughts on the other ideas I suggested? If you didn't like them we can always come up with more.

Also, I just did some research for clarification, and the battle between the Powers took place 100,000 years ago.

Fyor~

I naturally raise my paw up first, being an extrovert.

"Can I tell my story first?" The others nod.

"Okay. I was born into the Southern tribe. My family wasn't too high up in the ranks, but my father was one of the Counsel, the Vulpes Scorpiones that we go to for guidance. My mother was a general. I was a scout, and most of my siblings were foot soldiers. The Vulpes Scorpiones are a very militant species, you can tell. The foxes in the tribes look different.  The northern packs have heavier coats and are usually white, like Arctic foxes. The southern ones, like me, have thin, russet fur. The eastern packs are thinner and their coats are more... Flat. The westerners are bulky and have coarse, almost blood red fur. Anyhoo, I was out hunting when I was chosen. Scouts go before the pack and find food and shelter, but they never are supposed to go outside howling distance. I-" I was cut short by the flapping of wings. A raven alighted next to Albero. He dropped a note.

"For you." The raven then flew up and over to Piiri. He handed her a letter. Piiri looked at him strangely as he took off, cawing loudly. Albero opened the note. He read it aloud.

"Dear Albero.

Why did you leave so abruptly? Rose is terribly angry with you, but I guess that isn't abnormal. She thinks that you are a spy! I cannot write more, but I hope you will come visit us soon.

Sybill"

Albero smiled.

"Sybill is my friend. She must have seen the letter. I'm glad."

Piiri opened the letter. She did not read it out loud, but I could tell it was bad. I watched her face harden in dispair. Her claws clenched the letter tightly. Finally, she began to read it.

"Dear Piiri.

I hope you are doing well, it will make my defeating you so much more fun. How is your little band of misfits? Majnun talks about you constantly, I never thought you could be so fascinating. He also talks about that other dragon, Albero. I never really listen to those bits, but I really think Majnun likes him. In a friendly way, of course. He keeps saying how nice this Albero is, something about taking care of a rose? I'm coming to see you tonight, make sure to bring Albero, I'm also bringing Majnun so they can play. Remember Quiki? A nice chap, a little bit of a soft spot for you, eh? He'll be there too. He's not dead like me. Death unfortunately wouldn't let him come with me, so she just suspended him. She decided to finally let him go, isn't that wonderful? Of course, there is a catch. He's in my care for right now, and until you do something for me (I'll tell you later), he'll stay that way. Got it? See you tonight!

Dari"

Piiri put down the paper. Abrany peered at her.

"What does he want?" She sniffed. "Better question; What CAN he want?"

~

Any ideas? I was thinking he would want a hatchling from Piiri and Quiki through magic? Any alternative ideas will be at least considered.

@Piiri ~ There was some slight confusion, Sybill didn't actually know Rose though he was a spy. I'll just adjust a couple things with the the letter in my post.

"Dear Albero,

Why did you leave so abruptly? Rose is terribly angry with you, but I guess that isn't abnormal. She crumpled that message you wrote. Ah well, I imagine she must be stressed. We avenged Yin, why don't you visit soon? ~ Sybill."

the note is warming. Even if Rose crumpled a message.

Piiri is a hard mask of I don't even know what, though. She crumples the edges of the letter before finally reading it.

"Dear Piiri.

I hope you are doing well, it will make my defeating you so much more fun. How is your little band of misfits? Majnun talks about you constantkye, I never knew you could be so fascinating. He also talks about that other dragon, Albero.

I listen and listen.

" what does he want? " abrany asked, "Better question :What CAN be want?"

" Piiri and I have to be there, where ever there even is, " I say.

"I imagine it's Dari's lair or whatever," Piiri sais.

" the rest of us should come too. To protect you, " Hindar said.

"I don't imagine that we could come. I'm certain Dari will have some way of keeping us out," Abrany interrupts .

"Besides, I can feel a new Blessed coming. The rest of us need to b here to greet them," Fyor agrees.

" that settles things, then. Albero and I will be the only ones to go, " Piiri decides.

"There's no point in putting it off, Piiri," I say, " Let's go. I think he'll be dreamstalking again. "

~~

Maybe Dari wants Piiri to leave the Blessed, and he will torture Quiki if she doesn't surrender? I also imagine Majnun might actually protect Albero....

The reason I was thinking Dari merging Piiri's and Quiki's DNA through magic, the result being some sort of direct offspring of Piiri, is that he could then mold Piiri's child's personality however he wants, thus gaining an advantage over Piiri by turning her child against her... I was thinking the "hatchling's" name would be Darkchild or Moonchild and she has the powers of the ancient Keentheives 'cause she's Piiri's spawn, and she is most powerful in and draws power from the Darkrealm, my name for where Dari, Majnun, and Dracmar are currently stuck. She also controls and creates a subtance called Havoc, and it poisons you, burns you, and tears you apart at the same time, but she can't use it for very long or very often because it gives her waking nightmares that can actually hurt her. She is a lustreless midnight black, even her claws and teeth are black, but they do reflect light. Her eyes are grey.

Every time Piiri encounters Darkchild/Moonchild Piiri tries to tell her what Dari is doing and after a couple encounters I think D/M should begin to doubt Dari's motives.

Does that sound good?

Oo, interesting. The same sort of thing is happening with Majnun too...

submitted by Sybill, age ????, Kyngdom
(April 21, 2018 - 6:33 pm)

Then again, maybe the hatchling should be genetic... A clone though, like Sylvia's or whoever is having a foal. I think that would be the best alternative. Piiri will be launched into suspension where she can see and hear the other Blessed, but she can't interact with them. Until her child is born, of course. Then Dari would take D/M away from Piiri and Piiri would be released from suspension, but she would be so overtaken with hatred for Dari that the other Blessed still can't reach her. Only when Albero confronts her about it does she snap out of it and tell the others about what happened. THAT WOULD BE TOTALLY AWESOME FOR DARI'S FIRST MOVE ERMIGERSH THAT'S WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW. Question: I like the sound of Darkchild better, since there are way too many names connected to the moon in Kyngdom to add another. Does anybody else agree?

Hindar was sittig in the sunshine, just enjoying it. Until he dozed off. "Hello, Uncle!"  said Dracmar, grinning evilly and slightly like a psychopath, "How's it going!" "ummmmmm...good?" said Hindar, a little confused "What are you so happy about?" "oh, our master plan is in motion!" Hindar froze. "What?!?" and woke. he looked around for the others, who were clustered around Piiri.

This is how it happened.

Ash floated through the air. Albero stood close by with a worried expression on his face. Suddenly, Dari and Majnun materialized before us. Majnun voided up to Albero.

"Hello, cuz! Have you been taking good care of my rose?" Albero regarded Majnun with a loving look, not unlike one would give a puppy who dances around the owner's legs when they come home after work. I did take my eyes off of Dari. In Dari's claws was a chain, and that chain was connected to an iron collar. The collar itself wrapped around the broad, proud neck of a keenthief. Quiki! He gasped when he saw me, then fell into wracking sobs. Quiki kept muttering about how he'd thought he'd never see me again, and how much of a monster Dari is. My heart went out to him. But my body did not budge. Dari stepped closer. I stood my ground, refusing to back down to my twin brother.

"You must know what I want now." Dari stepped closer. I squared my shoulders. He smirked. I growled at him. His surprisingly handsome face was so close to mine, I could feel his breath.

"No."

"Then what do you want?!" I couldn't take it any longer. I stood up and reared onto my hind legs, tail lashing. "My firstborn child?!" I bellowed. Dari's eyes glinted. Oh no, he's using some sort of new magic, I can feel it. All at once, I was on the ground, my breath short and my eyesight blurring. My stomach felt as though it was on fire, and I was incapacitated by pain, but it was not clenching up. Before everything went black, I heard Albero scream something about a magic clone and Dari hiss

"Precisely."

~~

Ta-daaaah! Magic conception. How'd I do? :)

Wait, Hindar doing WHAT?!
