Sage Rp Thread!!
Okay.
So.
If ya wanna know what a Sage is, it's best to read the Calling all Powers... Thread.
First, I think maybe we should create a list of Sages. The only set ones so far are Albero, Piiri, and the Flower Carrier(?).
So...Yeah. That's all.

Cursed released now.
-
I whirl, searching for the source of the voice. She's easy to find--she stands at the center of the clearing, dead leaves gathered around her feet.
For a whispering prescense, she's not what I expected.
She's youthful, with smooth raven-black hair and homey brown eyes like my own. While she seems young, she isn't short--she seems to be about average size, bordering on tall. A bracelet made to look like a scorpion's tail is wrapped around her left wrist.
And her expression is eager to please--but not to me.
I stare coldly. "Who are you." I ask, the question sounding more like a statement. She beams at me. "Someone held in high regard, I hope." She says. I recoil immediately. Her voice is cold and harsh, causing every word she speaks to practically cut into the air. "If we're friends, it will make your death so satisfying. So useful." She states.
I frown. She's not saying this out of insanity--she genuinely wants to kill me in some sort of satisfying way. "What are you?" I ask, not willing to waste my breath on a foolish retort.
She pouts, her expression the perfect picture of a young teenage girl for a moment. "But surely..." She pauses. "We are alike, Evea. I am your Cursed. You are my Blessed. And when I am told, I will end your Nymph's life." She states, her gaze meeting mine. Neither of us blink.
"But enough of that." She says cheerfully. "Go back and tell the other Blessed. It will all go as planned." She commands, before simply vanishing as the wind picks up and dead leaves fly through the air once more.
I go back, yes. But I don't tell the other Blessed about this new threat, this new Cursed. They have things kept to themselves, and so do I.
-
There you go. Evea's decision to not inform the other Blessed might be dangerous...

Albero ~~
The sky was a splash of oranges and purpoes as the sun began to slide into the ground, allowing the stars to glow again. Piiri, Hindar, Abrany, Fyor and I stood at the center of the grove. Evea seemed distracted and said she'd stay in her lodging because she was tired.
we were trying to make a plan to get Piiri's daughter back. We'd been sitting here for about an hour now, with no plan. Since Majnun and I had torn the bond between us that allowed us to communicate through dreams and ripped up the rose, we no longer had any way to get to the Darkrealm, and nobody there we could trust anymore. Dari had finally completely corrupted Majnun.
I passed around cups of steaming chamomile tea.
"I think we're goibg to have to ask somebody who's not a Sage to help," Fyor finally said.
" Ugh, I don't like the idea of telling a non-Chosen everything that's been happening. Kyngdom is already busy with the civil war, we don't need my twin making things even more stressful for the Resistance, " Piiri said.
"Okay, then. Let's tell somebody other than the Resistance," I suggested.
"But who?" Hindar asked. I sighed. " I don't know, " I admitted.
Abrany, "I suppose we could ask my herd, but I am not certain they would have enough time to help."
" Wait! " I said. "I might know someone. They are a human healer from Regenton, they also know alot of magic. They're called Madam Hotaru..."

Night, is this okay? I was thinking maybe Ath and Jamundi could spend a short period of time with the Sages.......

Oh yeah this is perfect!

Kinda... tried to write? I guess this is what Evea is doing right now.
I made the excuse of requiring rest. I don't rest often, but when I do, it's always in my cave. A small underground spring feeds a small, extremely shallow body of water inside. A thick moss covers the ground, emulating grass, vines dangle from the ceiling, and I've placed a potted sapling at the mouth of the cave. I've even transplanted some of the Meadow's more suffering flowers into pots inside.
None of this matters at this moment.
I wonder if my decision to be silent is bad. No, they have other things on their mind at this moment. They have things like Dari--who I am confident this Cursed of mine follows--to worry about. My involvement isn't neccessary. My involvement would be a burden, I guess, and I, strangely, don't want to be a burden.
I swear I can hear a whispering noise somewhere. The noise is distant, probably coming from just outside the Sacred Meadow. Like she's listening.
I ignore it. It has to be my imagination anyway, though I've never really been that imaginative. There are other things to think of.

Piiri~
I'm in a throne room. A throne room with cage bars behind it, and the creature inside is so big I can only see its foot. The rest of it is obscured by mist, floating hundreds of feet up. Dari enters, a hatchling on his back.
"Hush, young Darkchild, soon we'll rule the world..." He croons, gliding as to keep from jerking my baby. Hatred fills me, but I stay back. I don't think Dari's noticed me yet. He nuzzles Dyre, and she opens her beautiful, charcoal grey eyes. Distrust fills them as soon as she sees Dari. Oh, how I wish I could tuck her into my wings right now. Dari laughs. It's not his usual laugh, dark and cruel, it's playful and light. Caring. Dyre chirps and cocks her head. "Oh, Darkchild, you are just like your mother. For a bit, anyway." Suddenly, Dari reaches forward and grabs Dyre's neck. She opens her mouth to scream, but there is only silence. Pitch blackness creeps around the sides of her wide eyes. She wriggles to get away from him, and I lunge at his throat. I pass straight through them. Clawing at Dari's neck, I watch in agony as my daughter succumbs to the darkness. It clears from her grey eyes, but now there's a sparkle of evil and malice in them. This is no daughter of mine. Dyre is nowhere to be seen. What I'm seeing now is none other than Dari's Darkchild. My only hope is that somewhere, deep deep down, Darkchild knows.
I wake up. Without screaming or getting up, I lie on my pelts. I can hear Albero snoring in the other room, Hindar's slow purr, Abrany's sleep-commenting, Evea's peaceful breathing, and Fyor's small whines. Silently, I get up. The huge crack in my wall is covered by a large stone. As quietly as I can, I move the boulder aside. Navigating my way through the corridors, I make my way to the Stone Blessed Chamber. Stone Piiri opens her eyes and holds out the lone star diamond. Without hesitation, I grab it.
Immediately, I find myself in Majnun's quarters. He's polishing his claws in a corner.
"Well well, hello Piiri. Lovely to see you again. Unfortunately, this time I'm not your friend." He brandishes his claws, smiling evilly. Hate burning in my heart, I grab him by the throat and force him up against the nearest wall.
"I want my daughter back, Majnun, you son of rot."
"Eyyy, watch your profanities, woman!" Majnun hoarsely jokes. My grip on his neck only gets tighter.
"You watch your step, carrion-bag, or else I'll make your life perpetual death." I hiss, lashing my tail. "Help me find Dyre, or you'll be sleeping with the bludgeoner dragon."
"Why would you trust me?" He smiles again. I glare even more venomously.
"Because if you trick me you will regret it with every decaying cell in your body." I whisper, bringing my face close to his and growling low and long. "On my power as the Life of the Ancients."

Albero~~
In the night, I awoke to the almost silent noises of a boulder scraping against a cave wall. Curious, I stepped into Piiri's room, where the noise came from. She wasn't there.
When I saw the tunnel in the wall and her empty bed, my first thought was that Dari had taken her away. My heart in my throat , I moved quickly down the tunnel.
There was hardly any light, but I managed to navigate my way into the room of the statues.
That was when I saw the stone Piiri 's outstretched, empty palm. Instantly, I'd realized where Piiri had gone. Why didn't she tell one of us? She knew how dangerous what she did was, didn't she?
I didn't want in involve the others. They would just want to fight their way out of this, and that would end badly. There was only one Blessed that I knew would find a way to solve this without violence and bloodshed.
I stepped into another cave and tapped gently on the wall.
"Evea? I need your help."

I finally have a bit to post! Just a heads up though, I don't really have a feel for rping very well right now, so this post might seem a little awkward or uncomfortably written. I don't really want to control anyone's characters so this post might come across as pretty vague or unnecessary. Again, apologies in advance, I don't have a feel for rping right now.
-
"Evea? I need your help." Help? Why can't he ask another Blessed, like that... fire thing? But I let him into the cave. Maybe this will be over soon.
The next words out of his mouth are of Piiri, and 'Darkchild'. I've listened to their talk of this. Except...now... "She's gone."
So, against my better judgment, I find myself leaving the cave and going back into the meadow. Albero keeps talking as we walk, him moving faster with urgency and concern for Piiri. I can almost feel concerned too. What is Piiri thinking, going to this...place? It seems to me that her child is gone, and she's just being unnecessary.
We reach the statues and marble. I trail behind slightly, lost in thought. Piiri is level-headed and seems to usually be calm; she was chosen to be the leader. She should have known not to go there alone--she should have taken someone, or warned someone.
I stop moving, frozen in uncertainty and thought. Unless. Unless she knew what they wanted her to know, unless she saw what she was supposed to see. She's supposed to be there--one of them knew how to provoke her, and they did. This is a trap.

Albero ~~
Evea is deep in thought. I can see it written on her face. That's why I think she makes an excellent Blessed. She thinks things over and doesn't rush into things. Evea, unlike the others, also knows how to settle things with very little violence.
When we reached the cave with the statues, she seemed to realize something. "Albero, wait."
I turned around . "Yes?"
" Let us not rush into things blindly. Think about it for a moment. Piiri is sensible enough not to go to the dark place alone, she's our leader for a reason. They must have shown her something that would drive her to make irrational decisions. Albero--this must be a trap, " Evea said calmly.
I thought about it, quietly.
"Good Lunee, Evea, you're right! I could have just dragged both of us into this --I should have thought things through better, I'm sorry," I said .
"It's okay. We all make mistakes sometimes," Evea said. " Let's figure out how to get Piiri back without being dragged into a trap. "

Majnun~
Things were going along quite well. Dari would be pleased.
"Fine," I said to Piiri , prying her talons off my throat. "I'll take you to Darkchild. But other than that, don't expect any help."
" I wouldn't think that you would help, " Piiri said.
I scoffed and slipped out of the small stone room. Piiri followed me outside. Ash crunched under our feet as we walked through my section of the Darkrealm.
On the other side of my region stood a decreipt old stone structure. Inside was a swirling vortex. Piiri stared at it suspiciously.
"To quell your worries, I'll go first. Jee, why would I kill you? I have no reason to. Albero is the one I want to kill," I said to yer. She glared at me. " Where will it take us? "
"Dari's palace, of course."
" Where in the palace? " She asked. I smiled at her. "You'll see."
She, however , didn t hesitate in following me through the portal. The portal that would take her to the throne room...where Dari was waiting.
