Chatterbox: KYNGDOM™ RP Board

The CrownAft

The Crown

After countless numbers of Council and Embassy meetings, I prepare myself for the Kyngdom Coucil, where are the leaders and royalty of Kyngdom will be meeting in the East. I brush my fur, although it's not like I have hair like an anthro, and select a black halter gown with gold speckles along the bottom trim. It's simple, yet elegant, and although I'm not a big fan of dresses, I don't mind wearing this one. I then take the Crown. Taking a deep breath, I put it on. Master Nova used magic so that it would take the form of a tiara. It's pretty, and it shows me to be a queen of some sort, but it's also a risk. But it would be hard for any agent of Catastrophe or Catastrophe himself to tell that it was the Crown--after all, all other leaders and royalties will be wearing crowns and tiaras or other distinguishable items.

I take a deep breath and step out of my room, while my guards push past the crowd of people and I head to the large room where the Council is meeting.

(Is it possible that any Pur whoevers or anyone else will be here? That way we could also RP on here. Also, representatives will be here too, so if you guys represent a species or group of people, you are invited to attend.)

Catastrophe said that I could write a bit from his POW to get the Shield plot line started. I was going to do it once this part had died down. Keep in mind Mina has the Crown, so there is someone who could save Alex.

Im not going to use the Crown until there's no other option. I can't risk putting everyone in danger.

In that case, maybe Connie only knew that you knew something about it? That way she can at least start searching...

Goodness you guys are good!! I've been working on the whole thing for a while, but yes, he might be for Sprocket. I looked up the most popluar guys names in Iceland, and I really liked his name. Viola? I completely agree with your description(I was playing around with different hair types and deicided on messy blonde with a slight curl.) Kudos to you all!!

I see a flashing light somewhere near the top of the hill where the new and rising sun begins to creep from the peak.

Looking around, no one else seemed to notice it, so I make my way through the lines. I see a man of Catastrophe on a black horse, and I shoot the man before shoving him off and leaping on to the horse. I ride fast, not bothering to look back. Soon I reach a wooded area.

The light was behind a large ridge that could be seen next to the hill, so I use that to judge my distance.

I look around, making sure I am alert as we trot through the path with trees. This is the perfect place for an ambush.

But what I see when I get to the ridge isn't any better.

A girl with curly blonde hair is collapsed on the ground, so I leap off the horse and run up to her. The first thing I do is check her pulse, making sure she's still with me. It's weak but there, and I turn the rest of her around and see the Resistance pin before climbing back up the ridge and looking over. There are abandoned tents everywhere, and trash and weapons and dead bodies littering the camp site. I see dead elves among Catastrophe's flanks, and realise the attack was made by the Elven Resistance.

I turn back around to the girl and carefully picking her up, running to the horse. I hoist her up and her limp body slouches against the neck of the horse. I climb up behind the girl, and reach my arms around to grab the reigns. I kick at the horse'a sides and we take off.

But soon I hear the sound of more horses galloping behind me, and with a quick glance behind me, realise I am being chased. I take my gun and aim carefully before firing at the first rider I can see at the moment.

Click.

I yell in frustration. My cartridge is empty. I look at the bow and arrow on the girl's back and hesitate before another arrow whizzes past my ear shot by the enemy soldier.

I steal-no, borrow-her bow and arrow, pulling the string back and releasing. One down.

I turn back around and direct the horse to make a swerve and another one, seeing the war zone in the distance. An arrow grazes past my cheek bone, and I hiss as there is a strong sting.

I draw back another arrow and inhale sharply before whipping my head and shoulders around before firing.

Another down.

I keep the horse directed in where it needs to go, and once the direction is hit straight for the medical tent, I twist around again and fire quickly. However, this rider is smart and dodges the arrow with a flick of his shield.

I turn back around and realise that we are nearing the medical tent. I look around and quickly analyse a plan, and it's crazy.

Butnit's the only option.

I take a deep breath and leap off the horse, grabbing the girl. I make sure she doesn't hit the ground too hard, and leave her under the shelter of a damaged flag pole while I roll back around and grab the gun from the nearest fallen soldier. I aim at the horse's flanks and shoot. The rider tumbles off but immediately gets up and points his gun at me.

The sound of gunfire rips through the foggy, war torn air of dawn.

I exhale slowly and pick myself back up, looking over as the man's final figure slumps down.

I then remember the girl.

"Oh Claaws," I mutter silently, with panic rising in my throat. "She's probably dead by now."

I see her and slowly lift her up, checking her pulse again. I let out a sigh of relief to find it beating still.

I run for the medical tent, and a nurse automatically greets me when two other nurses join her. They begin yelling medical terms, and the doctor, Quill, takes the girl and puts her on a medical bed before she is wheeled away. I begin to slowly strand behind them, but a nurse stops me with her clipboard.

"Not now, Commander."

"Who is she?" I ask, watching as she's finally taken beyond the corner.

"Her name's Etoile, Commander. I woulda reckoned you'd have known. She's the half elf, half human one. Good Resistance fighter. Helps to represent at Council meetings. She's the heir of a king, and is trying to reclaim the kingdom. It's hard though, because the two sides that are her family, the elves and humans, like her but not each other. Times are torn, Commander McCullican. How long will it be before we fight the war amongst ourselves?"

Wait, Etoile's here? Fighting? Are you her author or have you asked her author about that? Because last I heard from her she had blacked out on Viola?'s Hello it's me thread. Maybe I missed a post somewhere. That thread kinda came to a stop because we needed her to post and she didn't.

I did post. I don't think you read it.

And I don't know why you were waiting for me, it kind of ended up being about you guys and Hazel, so I figured I would leave and go inspect.

Oh! I'm sorry! We were waiting on you because we didn't know what you were going to do. I also think we were hoping you could see if Jaaws had left Hazel so we could stop knocking her out.

The battle rages before me, and I quickly jolt out of my thoughts. I wouldn't be able to find her unless I proved myself to the Resistance. They probably wouldn't cope well with an eightteen-year-old who probably looked half-insane wanting to see one of their leaders. Yeah. That would go over great.

It's now or never, I think. I had always dreamed of fighting in a real battle, not just some street scuffle. Now I was looking out over a ravaging battle between two forces, one of which I would gladly fight for to gain their trust. She would only be found through trust.

Shaking slightly, I unsheath my seax and drop my pack. The ornamental handle glints in the light from fires burning in the forest, and I am slightly comforted by the familiar weight in my hand.

My gaze snaps up and I start to run.

~

My arm has become heavy, and my clothes so splattered with blood you can hardly tell what color they are. I am sick of seeing the light of life going out of countless people's lives, and I push thoughts of guilt away. I must remain detached and unfeeling.

I see one of the Resistance soldiers fighting off to my left. Two people are engaging him, and it looks like he is about to falter. Quickly, almost without thinking, I hurl my seax like a spear and take down one of the attackers. The soldier then focuses his attention to to other person, quickly cutting them down.

I run over and yank my seax out of the fallen soldier's back. Wincing at the noise, I turn to the Resistance member.

"Where is command?" I yell.

"Commander Mina is in the the flank. There!" he responds, pointing to his left. I turn and see a Dolor Felis resting behind the attack line.

"Thank you!" I shout as I slowly make my way over.

It takes me a bit  to get to her, as I have to fight a couple of people along the way. Finally, I am within a ten foot radius.

She is fighting a Catastrophe soldier who snuck through the front lines. I jump in and stab him in the back. He falls, and Mina looks at me with gratitude.

"Thanks," she says.

I nod, then quickly get to business.

"Commander Mina, where is Commander Sprocket?" I ask, my voice raised slightly so as to be heard over the battle.

Her face falls.

"In the Med tent. She's beat up pretty bad. She won't be fighting anymore."

My heart goes cold.

"Will she-will she die?" I stutter.

Mina shakes her head.

"No, Quill fixed her up ok. She just probably won't be able to do much for a while."

Our conversation is cut short by a breach in the front line. We say nothing more as we both begin to fight again.

"What's wrong? Is the little pup tired?" Catastrophe laughes at me as he takes another swing at me, I move out of the way

Dispite being injured and about to drop. I smile.

"You know, you are the first to beat the c-"

He swings. Cutting of the tip of my ear as I dodge. An addition to my chest wond and bloody arm. My clothes more red than green. And I wasn't able to hit him at all. My blade is too shor-

He brings his blade into the air and Pater Iusitiae rises to meet it.

"Ego suadeant te relinquo"

"Pater! I can handle him!"

"You keep calling him Pater," Catastrophe said "I doubt it is not it's name."

"It's a he!"

"Exactly, It is living, what's it's name?" He coaxed

"I won't tell you!"

"Than you will take it to your grave"

I need more power! As he swings an Idea hit me.

Heather, I thought, can you fuse with Pater Iustitiae?

I'll try but why do you need me to? She asked

JUST DO IT PLEASE!

Fine then. She replied.

Her SOUL went from the Necklace to my sword. It glows a mix of red and yellow as the Sword extends.

"More party tricks, fox?"

I swing with newfound Determination as my sword slams into his. And thats when I saw it...

He had to take a few steps back!

"This will be interesting."

"Indeed fox. Your death will be"

Keep in mind, Alex, that this isn't the final battle. Catastrophe can only be defeated once and for all by the six Powers united, and two of them still need to be found and activated. You can give him a fight, but you can't kill him, even with the help of your father and Heather. Beat him back, but don't get yourself killed.
