The Looking Glass Wars is basically the "true" story of Wonderland. Alyss Heart is the heir to the throne of Wonderland, but when her aunt Redd attacks and slaughters all of her family she is forced to flee to Earth. She meets Lewis Caroll and he writes the extremelly modified version of the story. The rest of the trilogy is about them getting the throne back from Redd and dealing with their not-so-friendly neighboring king, King Arch. It's a really weird trilogy but I thought it was good. Sorry, I'm not very good at book summaries.
