Mission name: Assasinate Rigga

Time: 0030 

We will be doing this through our points of view. We got Rigga's author to join us.

Mina~

Baron and I walk through the halls of the SOCS base. How we got here?

Alright, well, first we were offered the mission to Jokull, but rejected it because of this. Then we put on our Resistance uniforms and headed on a 'copter to the base, making sure to get in without being seen. Now how to get out...but at the moment that doesn't matter. We're on an assassination misson.

We have to pass through the Academy, which Baron and I admit is a little creepy. There's classrooms like there would be in a regular school, but at the same time...this isn't a regular school. Our fur stands on end when we hear a small boom and the hallway ahead and to the right of us light up. We see the shadow of an explosion dancing on the wall, and with a quick exchange of glances, we walk towards it. Luckily the children are sleeping at this time, but we both hope that the explosion didn't wake them up.

Turning the corner, we spot the door of a classroom blown open, and a bit of smoke coming from the hinges. But there is no fire, luckily.

I look around the doorway, and notice an empty classroom with a few beds along the wall for the children to sleep in. So it seems as though this is a classroom and an actual room.

Baron's ears perk up, and I look towards him.

"Did you hear that?" he whispers.

I tilt my ears back and forth until I hear it too. "Yeah. Sounds like...."

Crying.

We walk around a pillar and see a young girl crying beside her bed. Her head is down in her lap, and she hugs her knees.

I back up a bit, and so does Baron, but he ends up carefully walking around me and towards the girl.

"Hello?" he cautiously asks.

Her head raises, and her brown pigtails go up with her head. She shakes her head and starts whimpering again, putting her head back down.

Baron looks back at me, and I have an uneasy feeling but let him walk up to her anyway.

He kneels down and lightly taps her knee. 

"Hey."

She looks up again, but curiously looks at his ears. She touches one of them and laughs. 

He smiles. "Are my ears funny?"

I want to smile, but I start to have an extremely uneasy feeling about the way she's analysing him.

Right as I'm about to call his name, she takes a knife that is in the pocket of our left sleeve and stabs him in the leg.

Baron yells, and I whip out my gun, shooting at her once.

She somehow dodges it and screams, charging straight for me. But her knife is gone.

She kicks the gun out of my hand, and I watch as it sprawls and skids across the floor. She then sidekicks me in the stomach, and I kneel down in pain before she kicks me again in the chest, and I fall down completely.

She then grabs the knife she actually didn't drop and holds it to my throat. Her grip on my neck where she pins me down slightly loosens, and I take this as an advantage, trowing her off with my legs. She lands on the other side of the room, and takes a moment to recover. Baron takes this moment to kick her and move the leg of a chair on her shirt so she is pinned down.

A moment is all I need, but it's also only how much she needs.

I dive for the gun, and as soon as she gets free and leaps into the air with a scream to stab me, I aim the gun at her and pull the trigger, and there is a gunshot- thump- and then silence.

I shakily stand and walk towards Baron. 

"Let's go," I say.

He nods and runs with me out of the room and into the next hallway that connects the SOCS base to the Academy.

We had seen Rigga's schdeule, and she had wrote that she was going to be working until 0100 tonight.

Through the windows, we can see that she sky is dark, but the stars and moon are bright.

Before I know it, we are already in the SOCS base, at on of the middle stories. I look for the only light through the small slit underneath the door that could be Rigga's office.

There it is.

There's a single office still active.

Baron~

I don't like SOCS at all. Let us leave it at that.

Mina carefully opens the door of the office, and instead of expecting a jump scare at the end of a gun, we see Rigga's head sitting at her desk. She turns around and smiles.

"Hello Mina. Baron. Come sit."

Mina shakes her head and gives a sarastic smile. "No thanks."

"We're here to end you, Headmistress," I add.

She smiles, her smile wry. "Of course."

I draw my gun and point it straight at her. "Then let's get this over with."

Rigga~

I grab my gun from underneath the clip on my desk and point it at Baron.

"Let's."

My second in command, Ms. J. Parselli, comes from the hallway and towards me, then pointing her gun towards Mina. Mina points hers towards me.

Baron points his towards Parselli.

"Janele," Mina begins. "You worked for BIG. Not SOCS. Don't be ridiculous. I don't think you're a killer."

"Times change, Mina," Parselli responds. "And so do people. Welcome to the real world."

"This isn't the world that some should be living in," Baron intercedes.

"Nothing can be done about it," I snap. "Janele, shoot Mina."

"Shoot Mina, and I will kill you," Baron replies.

"How noble," Parselli says with an exhasperated tone.

Baron smirks and then without a blink of the eye pulls the trigger.

All in a sureal moment, Janele screams and fires her gun before slowly falling. Baron leaps for Mina and they both go crashing down to the ground, but not before the bullet makes a small impact on Baron's ear.

Baron~

I feel an exploding pain in my ear, but as soon as I land, I force myself back up, sensing Mina getting up behind me.

"Rigga," I scowl. "Game over."

I take my gun and point it towards her. So does Mina.

"Idiots," she scowls. "Kill me. But this base is set to explode in...let's see...three minutes."

"She's lying," Mina says.

"Oh no," Rigga says. And then she starts laughing the laugh of a dead woman. She then stands up, and we gasp. The bomb. It's in her jacket.

"Kill me, but either way, we all go down together."

I look towards Mina, and Mina looks back towards me. In that moment, I can't even describe what I feel.

Rigga laughs again, and we look back at her.

Mina~

I point my gun at Rigga. What should I do? I can see the number. We have 30 seconds.

I take a deep breath and clutch Baron's hand. For Shadow.

I pull the trigger.

The bomb on Rigga explodes, and Baron and I run as fast as we can out of the office, and through the halls where the explosion's fire consumes everything behind us.  

We jump.

We jump from the balcony of the floor we're on to the next floor, landing hard. I can't feel my left leg.

Baron supports me as we run a bit slower through the halls, rubble crashing around us and on us.

We reach an area with elevators, and rapidly press the buttons. We look for an emergency staircase, but it's no where to be found.

Baron~

I help Mina along, but we can't find a single way out, except through the window. But the ground is a few stories away.

I look towards Mina and nod. There's no getting out.

She nods back in realisation.

We huddle in the corner, putting a bench in front of us. The only thing around. I can hear the fire coming.

Mina~

I silently start crying, and Baron hugs me. We're going to die.

Death. I'm not scared of it, but waiting for it...I can't.

I apologise to everyone, but I can't bring myself to think anymore. I only close my eyes and brace for the impact. Baron closes his and rests his head on top of mine.

Well, Shadow, at least Rigga is dead. You're welcome.

Suddenly the fire explodes and burns faster, coming around the corner. I squeeze my eyes closed, and the wall explodes, us falling from the building.

Falling.

Falling.

Falling.

NOTE (IMPORTANT!): Rigga is dead. We agreed on that, and so did she. Baron and Mina, however, are NOT dead. But if someone doesn't mind, can you or others do RPs on the firefighters or someone coming with the Resistance and whoever else (we don't know, KBS?), and rescue Mina and Baron from the rubble? Thanks.

Again, they are NOT dead.
