Livestock Problem
I heard there was a difficulty. People were wondering if livestock was intelligent or not, or if every human was a vegan or something. (Not all humans know animals are sentient, by the way. I remember something saying that in one of the old admin-made threads).
However, there's animals like Scarlet, a chicken, etc, that seem to prove livestock's sentience. However, this could put a drastic twist in our worldbuilding.
If any of you have read Wicked (I do not recommend it. It was pretty bad in my opinion, for reasons I'm not mentioning here), you may have heard of Animals and animals, which I thought could help with our human's diets and worldbuilding.
However, these are big choices and I'm wondering if the Admins determined anything on this ever. Admins, have you? Any thoughts?
No

WHhn baby great white sharks are born, the first thing they do is swim away from their mother. If they don't, their mother eats them. I feel like if mother sharks can eat their babies, humans can eat livestock.
Zoth says burt. Isn't that a name? I thought your name was Zoth. Maybe that's your last name. Burt Zoth. I can work with that. I'll still probably can you Zoth though.

Maybe it's like how humans kill each other, rival clans or groups, only with eating involved and necessity as cause.

I've read Wicked, too. I can't recommend it, but the animal/Animal thing could solve the problem of diet and provide a place for the misconception of animals' insentience to have come from. It could also be a bit awkward at times, though, animals being nearly indistinguishable from Animals.

Well, this is easily solved, right? The wolves/owls/other preditors, can go hunt away from the group. Mabye if your a preditor you have to keep the erge of eating your fellow prey-members. Or maybe you just dont eat curtain prey?

Eating livestock instead of wild prey is a possibility, and if livestock is unintelligent, that's great, but we don't know if they are.
Mexi says dout. Doubt? What do you doubt, Mexi?

I would like to second my friend Moose.
We are the proud representitives of the barnyard clan, Sector Six, on Chickpea Avenue. Ya know, by the mini market.
I am Champ, of the lineage Sus Scrofa Domesticus, class Animalea.
This is my friend Moose, of the lineage Bos Taurus, class Animalea.
We wish to win back our freedom.

Nope, don't know. I don't think anyone (besides your implied captors) would object to your being free, but I think this was meant to be an out-of-charrie discussion that would not stir up yet another conflict, wasn't it? Just to work out a kink in the world and not be a major part of the story.

All in favor of livestock being intelligent (and the fact that not all humans know that they're sentient, which is why they live horrible lives)?
(March 24, 2017 - 12:14 pm)
I vote sentient with horrible lives. Oooo, maybe we could have a livestock strike?
(March 24, 2017 - 5:23 pm)
Maybe it could spring up as a consequence of something to do with Catastrophe or the Powers, or something else that's going on right now? I think it would be cool if it resulted from some action or series of events that are currently taking place and not just popped up out of nowhere. Something where when you look back, you can see the hints building up, foreshadowing, crows in the road, winding trail of half-hidden breadcrumbs through the dark, dense forest of the story.
(March 24, 2017 - 9:01 pm)
Of course :)
Let the foreshadowing commence...
MWAHAHA!!!!!!
