making weapons since 1809

This is an armor/weapons shop. We will be posting drawings here that are the weapons for sale. We will take anything in trade except socks. Even if it is the sockpocolypse, we will not take socks. You can trade in Æther, gems, or pretty much anything besides socks! We're bloodhounds, we can't wear socks! We have a no return policy. We will, however repare broken weopons/armor. You can talk out trades with us, the owners, Thistle and Sylver Riddell.

Okay, the boots are yours! Thank you for understanding. I'll still discount it. How about 2 drawings and a small bunch of herbs?

Great! Do you want drawings of Sailhaven, people, Elvish country, animals... Let's just say I have a lot of options. Take you're pick! And as herbs go, I have rosemary, thyme, lavender, and multiple types of mint.

May I please have a drawing of just a forest scene and a bundle of mint? My wife likes to make mint tea. It makes our burrow smell good, it tastes wonderful, and our cubs like it too.

Okay! I will give you the mint now, it's a full bundle, and I will get you the drawing as soon as I finish it!

I walk through the woods, heading to the armoury for another day's work.

I hear a small rustle in the woods, and I turn to see a soldier of some sort jump out at me.

"Goodness!" I exclaim, dropping my stuff.

I bend over to pick them up, but the soldier aims a sword to my chest.

"Hey, watch where you're pointing that, brute," I huff, pushing it's tip away.

The soldier pushes me off of my feet.

"I'm not looking for a fight," I say, standing up and brushing myself off.

"Be careful where you're walking, badger," the soldier says back.

Just then, Kara emerges from the burrow a couple of yards away, looking straight at me with fear in her eyes.

She runs over to my regret and glares at the soldier.

"Just what do you think you are doing?" she snaps.

"Step aside, badger," the soldier says, shoving her.

I kick the soldier's leg, and he yelps and falls down in pain.

He then scrambles and runs away.

"That's right," I say, putting up my fists. "Get away, coward!"

I turn to Kara. "You all right, dear?"

Kara sighs. "Yes, I'm fine. Do be more careful, Forger."

"Yes ma'am," I reply.

We hug and then I head off.

As I walk into town, I notice more guards stationed everywhere and being more gruff to animals. I arrive at the armoury, where I can already see Sylver's shadow through the window. When I walk in the shop, I notice that Sylver is a bit grumpy.

"Something wrong?" I ask, setting my stuff down on the table.

"We caught a thief, but she didn't get away with anything," Sylver mutters.

Thistle walks up to her and sighs. "It's getting worse around here lately. Less proper authority resulting in more thieves. And also more soldiers and guards that are just plain rude."

"Tell me about it," I say. "This morning I was heading here, and a soldier actually stopped me and was rude. He was rude to Kara too!"

Sylver nods. "It's getting ridiculous."

We all agree and get to work.

I walk into the forge and start work on a silver sword I've been working on for a week. I take spider's silk steel and infuse it with the blade. The steel should make the blade stronger and sharper. It is one of the most beautiful swords I've ever made, with a piece of turquoise in the hilt and a plant leather handle.

I look out the window to the other shops in the market. Many of them have raised their prices because of the war, but ours have remained the same.

"Do you think we should raise our prices like the others?" I ask Thistle and Forger.

"No, Sylver. We should not do what the others are doing," I said.

The drab war was slowly sucking the life and liveliness of everyone. The little ones of the city lost their innocence. Oh, and how my twin lost her merry spark in her eyes and the melodic note to her voice. My friends have lost their homes. We have all lost something, whether we know if or not.
