Aslahari

This thread is about a city in the Southern Deserts called Aslahari, which translates to be Desert Flower. It is a beautiful city with towering palaces made of rose colored glass and quartz.

The government leaders are called the Flames, and people are based on ranks. Your rank is defined by your understanding of The Ignis, or fire speak. The Flames have total control over fire and can talk to it fluently.

People can write about:

-Government

-Wars with neighboring cities

-Trade

-Nobles

Or whatever you want

Also, before people say that this would be better on an Inkwell RP, this city has things to do with Kyngdom. The people trade with people from Kyngdom, and BIG has been trying to take over Aslahari for years. Also, the desert where Aslahari is located is the origin of many of the dragon species that populate Kyngdom.

Have fun!

At first, it was hard to push apart the crowd near the battle. No one would let me through. Until they saw shadow. And then they literally parted at my feet.

They made a little lane for me, an ally of safety during the war. They wouldn't let anyone else through. Just me. I walked, carrying the dead body of shadow in my arms, holding her so everyone could see the blood on her wings and the peace on her face. They went silent as I reached the center of the battle field. I lay shadow down on the ground for all the world to see.And they did. The animals and forest dwellers all took off their hats and held them to their hearts. Even catastrophe's army was silent.

I heard footsteps behind me. I turned to see the cta girl-what was her name, Mina?- she bowed her head at shadow. i cryed on shadows dead body. I cryed for all the world to see. Finally, I finished crying. I looked down once again at shadow. Her face stuck in peaceful sleep.

That's when I watched shadow's eyes flutter open.

"shadow?"

"But- but I'm supposed to be-" she stutters

'dead," finishes Mina.

It hasn't been even a second before Catastrophe's Army begins to attack us again, and we're not doing well at all. We've been pushed against the forest, and the survivors of this battle are beginning to drop their weapons, nurse their wounds, and in more than a few cases, flee. Catastrophe's Army is pressing us closer and closer into the forest, Catastrophe at the lead, staring into my eyes, a funny, unreadable expression on his face. And then I hear Caelani and Ecio mutter to each other.

"If we scatter, we might end up having to retreat. It's a dangerous idea," Caelani murmers worriedly.

"If we stay, we might all die now." Ecio's deep voice remains firm.

Out of the corner of my mouth, not taking my eyes off Catastrophe's gaze, I whisper, "Listen to Ecio."

So Caelani does. "RETREAT!" he yells, and we all scatter. Through the forest everyone runs, but the worrying thing is Catastrophe remains with me the whole time. Ravage goes after Trill, Sienna, and Jake, Majora charges at Vivean, Pheonix, Laria, Bob, and Gog, and a variety of other troops, including prisoners from the Crying Cavern go after the largest group, made up of Cornelia Hornshaw, who has grease all over her face as a result of a battle with a paticuarly large Scion, Charlie, Alexander the bat, a fox named Delilah, Trixie, Blazing Star, several BIG workers I have face recognition of, Tani, Seth Scrueless, Giniva, Icy's dad(missing his shadow!), and other people I don't recognize at all. But Catastrophe stays with me, Ecio, and Caelani, although he seems to be most interested in me. Then the mighty Gryphon's shadow comes straight at the two Powers.

"NO!" I scream, but my exlcamation falls on deaf ears; when the shadow slammed into them, Caelani and Ecio were knocked over, and it's just me and Catastrophe now. I run for about two  more minutes, jumping over roots, dodging branches, until...

I hit something hard, and my head swims. Looking up, Catstrophe is still staring back, and he has the same strange look on his face.

"Ronan, Ronan, Ronan. We meet again."

"...not willingly," I mutter dumbly.

"Ha, well, you don't really have a choice, do you?"

"Let me tell you, if I hadn't bumped into this huge tree..."

"Yes, yes, you'd be putting up your dukes and blasting me to pieces, then spruce yourself up and go look at that Icy girl and blush a bit when she looked at you, stupid things like that."

"You..."

"I've noticed it, it does happen. You blush when she looks at you."

"How would you notice that? And I don't, for the record!"

"Ronan, I've been keeping a very close eye on you for a while now. Ever since you tried to face off with me in those underground tunnels. And my soldiers have been doing it. When you got captured by Marsha Yearwood, for example, I just wanted her to be spying, not kiddnapping. She got punished dearly for that mistake, and I learned not to entrust my soldiers with such important matters, at least not yet, when they do not completely trust me. So I do it, even while I'm making battle preperations miles away."

"How do you do that? Cameras? How shocking."

"No, Ronan. Cameras can be broken easily. People can not."

And then one Catastrophe turns into five. Literally. I gasp. The middle boy king adopts my small, quiet voice and mocks me with an impression of my "How shocking." The other ones laugh.

"And do you know what, Ronan?" the middle Catastrophe remarks, bending down to my level. The other ones look either very pleased or very arrogant. "I'm going to leave you and your stupid friends  alone. You have already lost." He sends a ribbon shooting directly out of his palm into the air, where it twists itself into the Song of War Bird. The five Catstrophes turn into one, and in the blink of an eye he's gone. A second later everyone bursts into the clearing, the soldiers having instantly left on Catastrophe's signal, tripping over each other. Miss Hornshaw seems to have broken her arm.

"Are you all right?" Caelani asks, his face creased in worry.

"I don't know," I mutter. And I tell him everything, sans blushing and Icy.

I stare at Shadow. How could she be alive? What's happening?

She sits up, and looks around, spotting me. She suddenely stands up, grabs Jake's gun, and runs toward me. The war starts back up again.

As fighting continues behind us, I run through the twisting alleyways, Shadow chasing me. Before I can stop it, I find myself face to face with a brick wall. I'm trapped.

She looks at me menacingly.

"Seem familiar?" she scowls.

I stare at her. "What happened to you? Why are you like this?"

She glares at me. "You took them away from me! Everything!"

"What are you talking about?" I spit.

"My family, my friends. E-everything," she sputters. "I was gone, and then I had a dream, and then I woke up. It was all there, all in my dream."

"I don't know what you mean," I snap. "I don't-"

"Of course!" she laughs, slightly manically. "You were brainwashed. Well, when you were actually you, you were an assasin. You killed them."

"I don't know who you've been talking to," I reply. "But i've never killed anyone that was related to you."

"How would you know?" she exclaimes.

"Because even if my memory is gone," I say, looking down. I look back up at Shadow. "I can remember who i've killed."

"I would have thought it would have been the opposite," Shadow mutters.

She looks up at me and aims her gun.

But I don't hear it fire.

"I'm not going to kill you," she whispers. "But something else will."

"You can't be sure," I say.

"I'm not," she shrugs. She turns to walk off. "But the war is."

I ran like I have never run before. I saw Tani and Laria and felt a pang of regret but continued sprinting. I heard Mina (or was it Ravage?) hot on my heels, and Sienna and Jake gasped for breath next to me. Sienna squealed as Minravage (?) grabbed her and I spun around.

"Oh no you don't! " I screamed and launched myself onto the kitty hybrid. Jake started attacking as well, and eventually, we were all in the fight.

Oh how I wished the bloodshed would stop!

The girl rammed into me as we all dog piled. Changing into a mouse, I scurried out before changing back. The girl looked around, suprised. She finally spotted me as I ran away, laughing.

(You can put me as Mina if you want.)

I run down the narrow streets and jump into the air

And fly.

I never want to see a battle again. Never. In fact, I think I'll go somewhere else. Somewhere where someone might have answers.

Somewhere like Sailhaven.

Ever since I'd heard about the flying city I'd wanted to see it. Ever since it had crashed, I'd thought about how easy it would be to find from the air. Now, it was time to prepare for a long flight. Sailhaven, be warned,

I slip out of my cave and into the night. In the distance I see the light of a city and the screams of battle. I smile. I was only a few minutes old and I already knew that my poison and I would add to the screaming ten fold.

I hope this is ok, Leptomiris is Caelanie's side effect power.  I want him to become active as soon as I can.

Woah, can't we be out of the city yet? The battle's been going on for a long time, we just need a conclusion. How about we hit thier army with a surprise attack, and they scatter, but it turns out they really didn't, so the story can go on. Something simple like that. Please?

I'm with 'please finish this'. Can we? A battle can't last forever, and they can't stay in the same place for this long. Aslahari was never ment to be completely destroyed! Let the civilians rebuild their city, and fight the next battle of the war elsewhere. It doesn't matter who wins the battle (although I think it would be interesting if Catastrophe did) just move it somewhere else! Sailhavens almost completely destroyed, but I hear Mer's pretty this time of year...
