My job became

My job became more and more tiring, with no reword. the small notes, evedence of the animals visets became less frequent, and even less important, until, they stoped all together. and thus, I started doing more and more of what they asked me to do. My partner, Henrey, has ben gone for awile now. I dont know where he went, but Im shure he will be back soon.

I walked doun the hall, twords the remaining cenels. we have moved half of them to a new location, but they havent told me yet. I dont think they told eny intern, for good reson to. If I knew, Id tell the animals. I turned the corner, and neald doun at the closest cenel. I opend the dore and reached in. the small animal Hoped onto my hand and nibled on the pece on corn I had snuck from the kichen. the small squirl was ether captured young, malnureshed, or a geneticly motifiyed clone that was going to be sent out to destroy the powers and all who youse them. ether way, im not leting it go eny time soon.

I reached back i to my lab coat pocket and placed a handfull of the small seeds into the small cage and put the animal back, leaving the dore open. then I moved to the next, and the next. eventualy I came to a white and brown sploched Duck, and I opend the dore. I gave it some smugled food then puled it out of the cage two. I took a pair of skisers and sniped of the tag that was aplied to each animal in the crates. "Im sorry, but can you take this note to someone for me?" I asked. the Duck simply stuck out its leg like a trusty mesenger bird, Knowing I wodent understand a word it sayd.

I tied the note to its leg and it took of, flying silently thru the open glass dome, that still wasent repaired. I also relesed a racoon, a blue jay, and a small turtle, who I convinced the bluejay to cary out and to a safe pond. then I returned to the small squirl, who just finished eating the corn and beans. I reached in to pet him and close the dore wen, "Ouchsh!" remembering to be quiet halfway thru the holer. I shut the dore and looked at my finger wich was now ozing a tainted green pussy gew. without thingink abaut it I wiped the woned on the now splaterd white coat. then I took a deap breath, I probly just startled it. it means nothing, I think...

"Why are you so quiet dear?" sayd mis tomson, snaping me out of my dais. "Oh, its nothing, Im thinking abaut a story that I red resently. mis tomson is a kind old widow who dedicates her time to feading the workers at B.I.G., so naturaly, she was ther every lunch, and dinner, and brecfast, but thats beond the point! what Im saying, Is the was there alot. she is normaly the first person I see wen I walk into the dining hall, surving the bacon and eggs. and I dont  want to know how they got that stuff, so I became a vegan.

I sat doun at an empty table, and started eating what my coworkers wood call "Rabbit food" and at first impreshion, I sayd, but rabits are cute, I dont want to eat them! mostly as a joke, but they didnt take it right. thats why I eat alone.

I noticed how tierd I was and finished eating early. wen I was walking twords my room, I hured sumthing. "whate!" someone was shouting "They only have 4 houres of air! theyl drown!" it sayd again "WHOSE THERE?" I shouted nobody anserd. I repeded the sentence acople times, with still, no avail. then I felt sumthing, it was cold, and, dark. like you were under thousands of layers of blankets, or maby in the deep end of the deepest pool in the world. I shuderd, then I frose, incapuble of moving, then I crumpled to the flore

I shuterd, the world froze for a second, But I still remember the fealings. Then I woke up. the room was white and starol, not a speck of color. there were two other people in the room. a skiny old sower nurse, and a chuby nusre, that always looks sorry for her pationts. wen she noticed I was awake, all of her etention was on me. she didnt even take a second glance at the cup of tea she was siping, wich she spiled on the hard tile flore. "are you okay? we had no idea what hapend to you!" she exclaimed she cept talking until I shouted "Yes im fine, Just leve me alone!" se was less surprised then me, it seamed. I normaly didnt break like that. the shroud nurse frowned. "We dont see enything rong with you, it was quite random, so if you like, you can go on as normal." I sat up straight. I felt wired. I quickly said "Thank you" And sped out the dore, grabing my coat, wich had afew less stains, and smeled like lavender. I went strait to my room, to pack. becose I realised, that even how much I triyed, i was never going to get payed. and I had to go back home, to drifters outpoast.

I walked thru the shadowy halls towards my work place. The moonlight had a gothic effect on the normally boring, yet slightly terrifying, cages that I was walking towards. The animals in them were asleep, well most of them that is. The others, were either pacing back and forth on all fours, or just sitting there, slightly rocking back and forth, as if they were waiting for something. And I walked past them. Straight towards the center, right under the shadowy moon beams. Under the shadowy light, there was one solid enclosure. In it, lives a silverback gorilla, covered in scars from fighting, especially on his strong hands. I went up to the iron bars and whisper “Ivan! Are you up? I knead your help.” he turned his burly shoulders to face my direction. Even his face was covered in scars. “What is it?” he says, sternly. “Well, I'm planning a break… what a second… did...you..just..talk?” I whisper in an astonished tone. His eyes squinted. “We have always been able to talk to humans, but it's just very rare for them to understand. Especially someone like you..” he replied. I stood astonished for acople seconds. Then I started again. “Okay… ivan… I'm planning a break… and I need your help freeing the other animals.” I say sheepishly. He stood up “Okay then, let me out.” without thinking, I open the iron door, like I would if i were feeding him. Then almost at once, he climbs out and starts releasing animals. I join him, and after about 20 minutes, not a single animal in my area is left in the cage. Then before the commotion wakes up anyone, we leave out of the huge gap in the wall and ceiling, I can't believe they haven't fixed it yet, it's almost been  whole year! When we stop miles away from hq, all of the animals, yes even Ivan, left into the forest. Leaving me alone. In the dark woods, with no survival skills. Wow claire, very well thought thru. You didn't even bring what little clothes you had for when you weren't working. I shook my head. Then I hear something strange. “Has anyone seen finny?” I spin around. Nobody there. I shook my head, and looked up towards the moon, as a colony of bats flying by the moon. Then I had an Idea. I started walking thru the shadowy woods after the flying mammals.

Hmm. Flying squadron 3  reports a girl moving through the forest. Send a small party of SailHaven patrolmen to investigate?

I shiver. It was a cool night, and I wasn't prepared. Most times, big interns would spend weeks, sometimes even months before going outside of the heated environment, and my job kept me quite busy. In that case, I had no jackets or anything made to keep someone warm out of a building, where they always were wearing a lab coat anyway. I looked up again, to check the bats, and in my surprize, they were going out in the opposite direction of me. I paused, then realized, the sun was coming up, they probably were doing a last run out of the cave, or wherever they came from. I know from experience, bats and owls tend to stay in old barns if it's needed. I continued thru the shadowy forest until I came to an area that can only be explained as a cove, of trees, slightly out of there place. Coming out of it was the lively chatter of… bats. This must be what i'm looking for. I thought. Then I sliced thru a small gap in the trees. Inside, it was dark. That's the only thing i can tell you, because that's all I saw at first, then slowly as my eyes began to august. Then all I saw, was trees. Covered in what looked like furry fruits, clinging to the branches. The tops of the trees were far above my head, further than any ceiling in the gild. It made me dizzy, fealy disy. When I looked down, It didn't help. The image was passed into the inside of my eyelids I open my eyes after realising that they were closed to begin with. Then I open my mouth and say “Hello? Is anyone hear?” my words echo of the high canopy. I look up once more, before my legs collapse beneath me. My eyes lock and once again, I am a brick. The only thing I see is the shadowy image my eyes grabbed before my vision was stolen from me, once again. I focus on the flawed picture, and, it slowly morphed into something different. The wood comes together, and instead of unruly trees, they line up, close enough to stop water, or any liquid from getting thru. Like orange juice, but it's so sticky, mother would never allow it on the table if we had a new tablecloth…
