I run towards the first tunnel I see. I jump into it, laughing. Then I realise the hill is covered in tunnels, to the point where it resembles cheese..with lots of holes... How will we find the right one that leads to under the Stone Tree?

It's a hard descision, but I call it. "Split up into groups of three!"

I will join a bit late, but being able to fly has its advantages. Not now though. I have business to do in the characters going into reality thing.

I grumble at her command. They were sapost to lead her to Serpaint...and they have no idea where their going. As the leader of the fighters, I take over. "Split into three groups, yes, but one scout one fighter and one (please remind me what the theirs one was!!!!). The extra animals will stay behind and gaurd our suppliers and carriers. All of you make sure to bring something to mark each wall turn and corner...so none get lost. With all the Powers and BIG drama going around, we can lose no recruits. Soldiers, addes." I end my sentence as a general would. I am their leader though, so doesn't that make me their general? This little game with the animals was quite fun, she hadn't gotten to lead like this in centres. And it felt good tip be part of something important again. "The three other leaders come with me. You two, well come back when we find the cave. Or well come back one we get hungry. Soldiers, understand? We come back when you get hungry. Then we'll take time count and sleep for the night. In the morning we will wake at dawn and start again. Bring some glowing snail slime to light your way and to mark the walls. Also bring a small leather water carrier. You don't know what you will find down there, but fighters remember your training. And when things get rough, or BIG had shown up, call the howl of Power and well come to your aid."

Claaws watched as they grabbed their suppliers and formed into groups. The other animals were selling down angrily. "You also have to guard the caves, so when any threatening thing is spotted, call the howl of Power. If they end up not being a threat out pass, call it again in a lower pitch. Higher if you need it help. Understood? Leaders, you understand? Great lets go."

I could tell the over all leader was mad at me for doing her job...but all she did was tell them to get into groups of three. Maybe this mission needs more gudaince then she thought.

I dart around groups, making sure each group has one person from each class. I'm not mad at Claaws. I'm proud she took over leadership in a time like this, when I was busy... The Search Mission people were on the other side. Good. So now it's a race.

I grab my crossbow from a sling on my back (Thanks, WiseOwl, for giving me the idea of a specially designed Crossbow for foxes!) and I yelled a few commands. But just as I was about to send everyone going through their tunnels, I yelled something out. "Look!!!"

Stone roots. In the passages. Confirming my hypothisis. The roots must spread out a long bit... They didn't look fully petrified... meaning that mostly the top was petrified. Everyone looked at them. I nod. "Go. Now. Only go into tunnels with visible roots in them," I say.

The people from the Search Mission are among us. The two Map Mission groups.. the search mission people... all here. I catch Icy's eye accidentally and duck into a tunnel.

A ramshackle van pulls up to the hill with a great clamor.

Hopping out with a pack full of supplies strapped to my back, I see that everyone is already leaving for the tunnels. "Wait! Wait up!"

Laria~

I run to the hill, my backpack bouncing against my ribs. "Wait!" i shout, diving into the nearest tunnel with people down it. "Wait for me!"

In the story, I say that Trill is with us in the Badger's room. I meant you. I get you two SO confused.

I run into the nearest tunnel, with the stone roots through it. Nobody else is with me... I run through the tunnels, listening to footstep echoes and navigating the twisting tunnels. They look so smooth, almost as if they were dug by one GIIIANT worm. Badgers must be expert diggers. I'm so eager in running forward that I run into a large stone root.

"Ugh..." I quickly recover from the shock and pain.

I unscrew a piece of wood off of my crossbow. The end is hollow and comes off, and there is red berry juice inside. I dip my paw in and paint the obstacle with it. "Ai!" I call down the tunnel. The echo comes back to me, like the hymns of ancient gods, never to be heard of or worshipped again. I paint another obstacle red. Red, like the blood of the family I fight for, even though they breathe no more.         The tunnel must be dark, but this isn't the first tunnel I've been in, and my night vision is well developed. Then I slip down a hole and fall. I fall and fall in till I land on a soft surface.      Oof. About 17 animals fall on me too. I see Icy, Storm, Scarlet, and-oof. Trill falls on me too, as well as another person.     "We're under the forest." Scarlet says in a hushed voice. We're in a large, dome shaped room. Petrified roots are EVERYWHERE in the walls. Three petrified roots form a pedestal in the middle of the room. And on it the instrument holding the Power of the claw!!! Suddenly I hear footsteps. The badger is standing quietly in front of it.

???-   In the corner I survey everyone. Eli, Scarlet, Laria...  I can't. But I have to. I don't even technically know why I'm here. I just kinda... appeared. Out of nowhere. I step forward, but no-one notices. I approach the dais with surprising stealth and get behind the Badger. I must. I won't. But I do. I grab the Badger by the neck and lift him into the air. "Who... Are you?" the Badger wheezes. I don't say my name, but I say something in a tongue not my own. "The Red has risen. All, beware..." The badger scratches me, and I'm in my bed. A raw, red scratch is on my arm. Ohhhh, shoot, I think. That was no dream.

I've cloaked myself and followed the others. Now we've finally made it to the Power of Claw. Just before I can decloak, what seems like the entire group falls on me.

"Ow! Ow! I'm under here, please move!" Finally getting out of the pile, I see that a badger is standing in front of the Power. I bow, as is respecful. But something seems off about this whole thing. We just walked into the Power of Claw by sheer chance! Waiting for the rest of the group to get up, my hand is on my weapon.

"...I'm not going to make you move. You can either trust that we're honorable travelers, or try to stop us from getting the Power of Claw. But I'd much rather we talk, even though fighting is my forte," I speak.

I was kinda late, so I swooped into the tunnels. The last group, led by Claaws was within my range of sight. I was mapping the tunnels with my quill when suddenly, Eli, Trill, and the others from the other group fell right behind us with a thump. The badger was suddenly picked up by a mysterious figure, then dropped, and the figure disappeared. I thought it was strange, so I packed the map in my messenger bag and faced the badger. I bowed in respect and came closer. The badger's hairs raised and it snarled at us. Claaws held us back, so i just watched.

Seeing the badger snarl, I whip out my knife. "ALRIGHT. YOU WANNA GO, MATE?" I take a swipe, and... MY ARM! One of the other party members has grabbed my arm! In indignation, my skin turns a bright yellow. "Get off!" "No, you mustn't attack! they reply.

"I'm an ASSASSIN! A VIGILANTE! This is what I do best, and unless you want to talk down the badger, I think attacking will get us the Power of Claw!

It had started okay, as I sniffed the half stone roots, and pulled at the half tree stones. There were rocks here and there, and well everywhere. Add they walked on the roots got bigger and harder to slice away for the others with her sharp claws. They didn't call her Claaws for nothing. Then she heard a shrill noise from the Fox ahead, a note of surprise intertwined. I glanced behind me. The groups had not worked out. They all had gotten lost and raced back to follow the leader of the fighters, it maybe the Fox that was making a path ahaid. Claaws couldn't of done that even if they'd let her, she's too burly and big. Now she rushed ahaid to see what was going on...and fell into a home. Add she was flying, her first instinct was to fly, as a dragon, but wouldn't that give her away? She stopped at the last moment and landed heavily on her paws next to the startled Fox. She shook her head, glancing around. They were in a dome, a large one, big enough for an in larged Serpaint. In the middle was what surprised her the most. It was a xylophone, of different shades of limestone. It was her brother. The Clawed Serpaint. She leaped out of the way as the others came filling in, or falling in. As they got settled, a badger stepped from the darkness. Something seemed fishy. Something was wrong. Add she watched a thing came up to the badger, but was scratched and disappeared. Then someone else stepped forward, and the badger raised its various and growled indignity. Something was definitely wronge. Someone stepped from the crowd, angry with a dagger. The assassin started yelling as Claaws housed a sour warning. Something about the Power of Claw. Her mind was filled with fuzz, all she could think of was that, that flower...OH NO! Realization hit her like a human gun shot. "Run," she roared. "BIG beat us! It's a trap! The badger is infected!"

With that the badger lunged, bags and humans were everywhere, and she may be the only one to escape, or survive, as she fought the badger off of someone with her slicing Claaws.

Sorry, I was in a rush, didn't include everything! But you got the point, right?

The badger is officially insane. It's running around and attacking everyone, and it doesn't see me because I'm stuck to the ceiling. Crawling forward a bit, I pull a long-barreled sniper from my pack. Looking through my scope, I have a shot lined up. POW! And... I miss and blow a hole in the wall.

"Someone distract it! I can't get a clear shot! I have tranquilizer darts as well, but that doesn't seem like a viable option!" I shout down to the group, frantically reloading. Most of them look up in shock. "Clear the way! I don't want to hit you, either!"
