NAME: Charlie W.
SPECIES: Human (Homo sapiens)
JOB/TITLE: Sprocketville, Southwest Kyngdom
APPEARANCE: Tall for his age (13), average build, curly dark brown hair always needs a haircut (except right after he gets one)
PERSONALITY: Never the first to speak up, but always the first to notice something
HOME: His parents' house, which his mom likes to say has the most natural light of any underground bunker in Sprocketville, thanks to its many skylights
MOST OFTEN SEEN AT: The machinist wing of the Cypher Labs dormitory, where he lives on a hall with the other gear-nerds. Needless to say it's not the cleanest wing in the building.
FRIEND OR MENTOR: Dr. Sheepshank was the first adult he felt really took him seriously.
ENEMY OR RIVAL: Marcus R., the best machinist at Cypher--and a full year younger than Charlie.
FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: His titanium sprocket wrench set, a 13th birthday gift from Dr. Sheepshank.
MOTTO OR FAVORITE SAYING: Er, did you try hitting it with a hammer?
STRENGTHS: Inventiveness--at age 8, he built a working dishwasher from scratch.
WEAKNESSES: Confidence--he has trouble standing up for himself sometimes.
BACKGROUND: Charlie grew up in Sprocketville, a small bunker town in Southwest Kyngdom. He was lonely there, since there weren't many other kids around--but that gave him plenty of time to tinker with the smashed-up machines that lined all the roads in town. After he built an entirely new set of household appliances from scratch, word spread across Kyngdom. Eventually, Dr. Sheepshank recruited him to be part of the Cypher Labs team. His parents were sad to see him go, but he didn't think twice: this was his big break.

I remember that you were a bit newer and came after the whole experimentation of shadow, but there were no natural born ones. And you can't say she was the first and the others after her had children, because you're older than her.

I thought all of those besides your four died? I'm a little fuzzy on how, though, sorry if I'm wrong. Just trying to figure out the best way this could work.

You're welcome! I would be all right with that, except there simply aren't any. The first successful homo avians were created maybe a few months ago. I believe shadow was the first. Connie A. and her Winged Ones aren't homo avians, by the way.

Well, she could still be a Winged One (she could have been a descendent of the clan). No natural born Homa avians exist, but Winged Ones are basically Homo avians, just natural born.

Yup, I am making another charrie. And following the Homo Abian trend. I actually add this charrie before Millicent came along though; I'm copy-pasting.

NAME: Fiametta "Fia" Pur Lyron
SPECIES: Homo Avian, if that's all right.
JOB/TITLE: None yet, might join the resistance.
APPEARANCE: Her hair is a fiery mix of red and brown, going halfway down her back. She usually keeps it out of the way in a high ponytail. Her eyes are one blue and one grey, with a thin ring of gold around her pupils. The difference is almost unnoticeable. She has a slight tan, and a lot of freckles. She usually wears leggings and hiking boots with a tank top or tunic; she sees dresses as an inconvenience, though she'll wear one on a special occasion. She looks as fierce as she is. She's a little taller than average for her age. She's fourteen.
PERSONALITY: If Fia could be described in one word, it would be fiery. She is kind, but fierce. She hates it when people underestimate her, and she is extremely stubborn. She will fight for what she believes in, and will never back down from a challenge. She has a bad temper, and sometimes does things on impulse. She carries a lot of internal turmoil, and tries to mask it with strength. However, she does not deal with pain or sadness well, and will often break down when overwhelmed or upset.
HOME: Fia is a wanderer. She doesn't really have a home anymore.
MOST OFTEN SEEN AT: An old tavern or inn, listening to rumors and stories from a corner.
FRIEND OR MENTOR: Sadly, Fia doesn't have any friends. Maybe she could b friends with Vanessa or Millicent?
ENEMY OR RIVAL: Her sister.
FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: A small jewelry box that used to belong to her mother, and her father's bow.
MOTTO OR FAVORITE SAYING: "Not all who wander are lost."
STRENGTHS: Fia has become very good at concealing her emotions over the years. She can fight well, and doesn't give up easily.
WEAKNESSES: Her bad temper, and her heart-wrenching background. She will sometimes overestimate herself, too, and can get a little cocky at times.
BACKGROUND: Fia doesn't know where she came from. She never knew her parents. As an infant, she was left in a basket in a field with only a bow and a music box, with a single feather on a cord around her neck. She was found by the Nobyl family, the Pur Lyrons, and her sister hated Fia from the moment the adopted her. Fia always knew she was different. After all, she was the only one in her family with wings. Her entire life Fia tried to please her sister, but to no avail. Her sister had been an only child until Fia was found, and so naturally, she felt replaced. So no matter how hard she tried, Fia's sister always shut her out. Then, four months ago, Fia's sister assassinated their parents. Fia ran away, and her sister disappeared afterward. Since then, Fia's been wandering, trying to find a place where she belongs.
I was thinking I'd like Fia to be natural born.
And I'd like her to have a crush on Finn, if that's okay. I know, a few people already like him, but this was before I knew that...(Finnametta?) Ya know, I probably shouldn't do this. Too many crushes for one guy. But still, I think they'd be good together...

First, there simply are no natural-born homo avians. Successful artificial creation would have had to happen first, which was done only a couple of months ago, and then a lot of study would need to be done into how exactly to genetically engineer the first cells or fetus, which takes time, and in practice it would be more difficult and take probably dozens if not hundreds of tries, and even then, a human pregnancy lasts nine months, and it's been maybe two or three since shadow got her wings. All that in combination with her age of fourteen years, and that's way, way more time than it's been since the concept of a natural-born homo avian would have begun to be hypothetically possible. So unfortunately, no, I don't think Fia can be one.
Second, I think it's fine for her to like Finn. We have way more girls than boys, so naturally there's competition, and Finn is a very likable charrie.

That's an optimistic viewpoint... It's generally best to avoid having too many people survive what was supposed to be the total destruction of their community, though.
