NAME: Charlie W.
SPECIES: Human (Homo sapiens)
JOB/TITLE: Sprocketville, Southwest Kyngdom
APPEARANCE: Tall for his age (13), average build, curly dark brown hair always needs a haircut (except right after he gets one)
PERSONALITY: Never the first to speak up, but always the first to notice something
HOME: His parents' house, which his mom likes to say has the most natural light of any underground bunker in Sprocketville, thanks to its many skylights
MOST OFTEN SEEN AT: The machinist wing of the Cypher Labs dormitory, where he lives on a hall with the other gear-nerds. Needless to say it's not the cleanest wing in the building.
FRIEND OR MENTOR: Dr. Sheepshank was the first adult he felt really took him seriously.
ENEMY OR RIVAL: Marcus R., the best machinist at Cypher--and a full year younger than Charlie.
FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: His titanium sprocket wrench set, a 13th birthday gift from Dr. Sheepshank.
MOTTO OR FAVORITE SAYING: Er, did you try hitting it with a hammer?
STRENGTHS: Inventiveness--at age 8, he built a working dishwasher from scratch.
WEAKNESSES: Confidence--he has trouble standing up for himself sometimes.
BACKGROUND: Charlie grew up in Sprocketville, a small bunker town in Southwest Kyngdom. He was lonely there, since there weren't many other kids around--but that gave him plenty of time to tinker with the smashed-up machines that lined all the roads in town. After he built an entirely new set of household appliances from scratch, word spread across Kyngdom. Eventually, Dr. Sheepshank recruited him to be part of the Cypher Labs team. His parents were sad to see him go, but he didn't think twice: this was his big break.

The best thing to do is create your own RP thread or join someone else's. That way, you get involved with the story more. Remember, some people don't like it if you just jump on their thread and begin to RP there, especially if the story's already pretty far along. If the thread is over 5 pages long, I suggest you ask permission to RP there. You might also want to ask about what's happened so far on that specific thread. You'll find that most people are glad to give a good summery. If the thread is under 5 pages long and it looks like one you're open to join, that's a good time just to jump in.

I think out of all of the books Inkspell was my favorite. It wasn't as boring as Inkheart, and Meggy was still with Farid. I really didn't like Inkdeath.

I've only actually read Inkheart, but I'm planning to start Inkspell as soon as I finish The Far Traveler.

I like Inkspell the best too. I do like Meggie and Doria, but I think I would really love it if their story was told more in-depth.

NOOOO!!! I hated Meggie and Doria. Meggie was with Farid for way longer, and then she dumps him. I'll admit he was a bit of a scum-bag when he cheated on her, but oh well. I still really love the series.

Sorry beforehand for the bad spelling, the llittle apostrophe key isnt working. :(
I dont like Farid because he doesnt do anything for Meggie, whereas she does so much for him. He cares for her, but she wishes he payed more attention to her, and he doesnt. When Farid realizes that he wont be punished for it, he goes from girl to girl as if they are toys, which I hate.

Thanks to this conversation, I have begun to read Inkheart again. Maybe my view will change about the whole Meggie/Farid thing.

BACKGROUND:Was adopted by a BIG worker. He tried to keep her from being used for experiments but in the end he vanished. Because of her strange apperance she was used for tests. Then one day Nightrunners pack rescued her. When the guardian of the Power of Fang died he gave her the gaurdianship instead of Thorn, the wolf he had been training. Thorn has been hunting her an dthe Power ever since.

Hullo, I like you charrie! I'm a cat myself (tortoiseshell patterned Abyssinian Dolor Felis). However, I don't think that you can be the Guardian for the Power of Fang. It's complicated, and I'm not the best person to tell you, but there is either already one or not one at all, and most of the Powers and guardians have already been decided. I would research the threads involving the Powers if you want to lean more.

The Power of Fang is actually Claaws, but I love your charrie!
Claaws recently died, perhaps you could talk it over with her about discovering her Power? Usually black panthers guard it, but I don't think it ma--yeah, talk to Claaws about it. XD
