I'll start:
NAME: Charlie W.
SPECIES: Human (Homo sapiens)
JOB/TITLE: Sprocketville, Southwest Kyngdom
APPEARANCE: Tall for his age (13), average build, curly dark brown hair always needs a haircut (except right after he gets one)
PERSONALITY: Never the first to speak up, but always the first to notice something
HOME: His parents' house, which his mom likes to say has the most natural light of any underground bunker in Sprocketville, thanks to its many skylights
MOST OFTEN SEEN AT: The machinist wing of the Cypher Labs dormitory, where he lives on a hall with the other gear-nerds. Needless to say it's not the cleanest wing in the building.
FRIEND OR MENTOR: Dr. Sheepshank was the first adult he felt really took him seriously.
ENEMY OR RIVAL: Marcus R., the best machinist at Cypher--and a full year younger than Charlie.
FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: His titanium sprocket wrench set, a 13th birthday gift from Dr. Sheepshank.
MOTTO OR FAVORITE SAYING: Er, did you try hitting it with a hammer?
STRENGTHS: Inventiveness--at age 8, he built a working dishwasher from scratch.
WEAKNESSES: Confidence--he has trouble standing up for himself sometimes.
BACKGROUND: Charlie grew up in Sprocketville, a small bunker town in Southwest Kyngdom. He was lonely there, since there weren't many other kids around--but that gave him plenty of time to tinker with the smashed-up machines that lined all the roads in town. After he built an entirely new set of household appliances from scratch, word spread across Kyngdom. Eventually, Dr. Sheepshank recruited him to be part of the Cypher Labs team. His parents were sad to see him go, but he didn't think twice: this was his big break.

(September 21, 2016 - 10:40 pm)
Hi, Misha!
Story So Far isn't updated at all, so you should probably try reading the other threads, especially the ones directly related to the Powers. For now, and I'm sorry if there are any inaccuracies, a (very general) summary is this:
Zephyra gets rescued (I think), the Power of Wing falls into BIG's hands and they somehow use it to summon a Song of War Bird, which I have not read up on, and then everyone goes following maps and solving riddles to find the Power of Claw, and the search for that leaves a grp of dedicated Chatterboxers underground with an old badger. I don't know what happens to the Power (I should really find out, I mean come on, me), but the tunnels get flooded and we all end up sort of okay, although there's heavy flooding aboveground in that area too. We make our way back into the water to go to the ball or whatever it is in the middle of the ocean to find out who will be named Guardian of the Power of Fin. A lot of people are there, and I really mean that. A few of the Powers themselves are there! A lot of people notice how realistic the centerpiece is, too. It turns out to (probably) be Finny, a dolphin and the most likely candidate for Guardian, who is trapped in an ice sculpture of themself. There is a keypad at the bottom of the sculpture, and a fox taps in a code that was in a recent issue of Cricket with a bone, releasing Finny. It is at about this time that people notice that the punch was spiked with Brazen Goo, which is deadly to the Powers and has some interesting and catastrophic effects. Someone sets off some sort of firework among the erupting chaos, and the dome surrounding the place is shattered. We all end up on makeshift rafts and are drifting aimlessly, trying to get back to land, when Jaaws and Catastrophe show up (read the other threads if you don't know who they are, because I'm not going to be able to exlain) and Catastrophe is captured (sort of, I think) and Claaws gets into a fight with Jaaws. I'm not going to say how it ends, and actually I'm going to completely stop there because I'm going have to do something in about 5 minutes.
As for your other question, I'd be happy to help! I think others probably will too. I don't want to tell you what to say though, so maybe read some of the other posts and see if that helps. You can add more description of your/your charrie's appearance if you want. I'm actually drawing all of them, so if there's anything special you want me to include, you should probably say so. You also probably have a few months to do that, because I'm going in the order posted, and they take a few hours each, and I'm still only on the ninth page. The bottom of the ninth page, yes, but still.
Wow, this is a long post. Sorry you had to read all that, and sorry if it sounded weird.
For now, the best thing to do is probably to read everything you can find, which will take a while. Good luck!

Thanks, Viola!

NAME: Rosemary Elysia Collims
SPECIES: Human/mouse hybrid
JOB/TITLE: Professional harmonicist at the Bog & Burrow, FAFA's assistant librarian, Central-East Division.
APPEARANCE: Rosemary is woefully short, standing just shy of three and a half feet. Her build is small and slight, like most mice, but she can be very athletic when she wants. Her feet are large for her size, and often attired in mismatched socks and stuffed into an old pair of boots. She has a small, half-formed pink tail that’s just a tad too long to hide under one of her numerous unflatteringly plaid skirts. A thick wool sweater and her father’s jacket (described below) usually cover her skinny, almost malnourished, torso. She has a narrow, angular face, an exceedingly long nose ending in a pink button, and large watery pinkish eyes. Her favorite hat--a multicolored beanie with a white pompom she knit herself--doesn’t quite manage to contain her wild golden curls and peculiar white-furred ears.
PERSONALITY: At first, Rosemary is very shy and skittish, like most mice. However, once you get to know her, you'll find her to be spunky, resourceful, and infallibly loyal, with a sharp wit that proves useful in a pinch.
HOME: In the village of Shoulder, Central-East Kyngdom, a good long nature-walk from the Bog & Burrow Inn. Rosemary lives there with her grumpy, overbearing dormouse mother in an ancient, sturdy burrow dug by her great-times-a-hundred-grandparents.
MOST OFTEN SEEN AT: Playing her harmonica at the Bog & Burrow, or checking out yet another heap of books from the Shoulder Public Library.
FRIEND OR MENTOR: Her scholarly human father, to whom she attributes her curiosity and bibliophilia. He used to work for BIG, but he was actually a spy for the FAFA. Cornelia Hornshaw, then a low-ranking employee still trying to scrounge up some credit for her name and title, found him out and turned him in without a second thought. Soon after, he disappeared and was never heard from again.
ENEMY OR RIVAL: Hornshaw and everyone else in the Brazen Inquiry Guild, of course, along with the neighbors' malicious orange cat, Snuggles.
FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: Her father's jacket. At one point it must have been tweed, but it's been worn through and patched up in so many different places with so many different fabrics, that it's impossible to tell anymore!
MOTTO OR FAVORITE SAYING: “If you don’t keep that head of yours screwed on straight, it’s liable to pop off!” --A popular quote from her mother
STRENGTHS: She's learned quite a bit about most everything from her reading, and she's got an acute, almost extrasensory “survival instinct.”
WEAKNESSES: Her natural fear of everything, born from her mouse side. In addition, Rosemary harbors a soft spot for odorous cheeses.
BACKGROUND: Rosemary is the result of a lab accident between James E L Collims, a smart but scatterbrained research student, and her mother, an immoderately hungry dormouse driven to sandwich thievery by the dairy farm down the lane’s acquisition of a new barn cat that was on less friendly terms with the neighborhood mice than the previous one. As a result of the cross-breeding, Rosemary is fluent in most dialects of human and mouse language. Her father took her in once he discovered the mixup, and she lived with him at BIG Headquarters in secret until he disappeared. There weren’t a lot of other kids that lived there, and the ones that did couldn’t speak mouse anyway, so Rosemary spent most of her days in the expansive library. Through books, she learned English. Once her father was gone, Rosemary was taken under the wing of the FAFA, through which she found her mother. Before the FAFA liberated her, however, she served a brief stint as a test subject for the Cypher at BIG, where she was treated none too kindly.

Dear Rosemary,
(May I call you Rose?)
My name is Alexander, and I am a leader of a group that requires your assistance.
First of all, it gives us, and by us I really mean me, great pleasure to tell you your acute skills and general knowlage would land you in a position of great honor. I would like to invite you to be the assistant director of the Animals, second only to myself.
Should you help, I would pay in either gold or Aether, and provide food, water, housing, general accomadations, as well as protection of the utmost quality.
Your's Truly,
Alexander
Commander of the Animals, trade advisore to the Aether Ruins.
(September 22, 2016 - 7:24 pm)
The animals... like the FAFA?
(September 23, 2016 - 10:35 am)
It is a group I run, loosly affiliated with FaFa.
(September 23, 2016 - 6:59 pm)
Dear Alexander,
Rose is perfectly fine with me, but never Rosie (only my father called me that). And as for your incredibly generous offer, I'm beyond flattered and would love to take up on such an interesting opportunity. However, before I commit to anything, I'd like to know a bit more about your organization. How far is your headquarters from Shoulder, my hometown? Are you affiliated with any other groups? I'm sure you are well aware of my feelings towards a certain Brazen Inquiry Guild, so I'm curious as to your relationship with them. And lastly, what is the intent of the Animals? I wouldn't want you to think me skeptical of your offer, but I pride myself on being one of the only ones in Kyngdom that read the terms and conditions!
Sincerely,
Rosemary Collims
