APPEARANCE: Tall for his age (13), average build, curly dark brown hair always needs a haircut (except right after he gets one)

PERSONALITY: Never the first to speak up, but always the first to notice something

HOME: His parents' house, which his mom likes to say has the most natural light of any underground bunker in Sprocketville, thanks to its many skylights

MOST OFTEN SEEN AT: The machinist wing of the Cypher Labs dormitory, where he lives on a hall with the other gear-nerds. Needless to say it's not the cleanest wing in the building.

FRIEND OR MENTOR: Dr. Sheepshank was the first adult he felt really took him seriously.

ENEMY OR RIVAL: Marcus R., the best machinist at Cypher--and a full year younger than Charlie.

FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: His titanium sprocket wrench set, a 13th birthday gift from Dr. Sheepshank.

STRENGTHS: Inventiveness--at age 8, he built a working dishwasher from scratch.

WEAKNESSES: Confidence--he has trouble standing up for himself sometimes.

BACKGROUND: Charlie grew up in Sprocketville, a small bunker town in Southwest Kyngdom. He was lonely there, since there weren't many other kids around--but that gave him plenty of time to tinker with the smashed-up machines that lined all the roads in town. After he built an entirely new set of household appliances from scratch, word spread across Kyngdom. Eventually, Dr. Sheepshank recruited him to be part of the Cypher Labs team. His parents were sad to see him go, but he didn't think twice: this was his big break.

NAME: Robin the Wanderer (formerly Robin Charlseton)

JOB/TITLE: Hearth of Imagination

APPEARANCE: Tall, jet-black hair that curls at the very tips (and is always kept in a high ponytail), freckles, sparkling green eyes, skin as pale as moonlight

PERSONALITY: Sassy, always lets her opinion be known, has a temper, can use her fists, but can be very sweet and caring

HOME: The woods, specifically in a hollow in the largest oak tree

MOST OFTEN SEEN AT: The Hearth of Imagination, the crypt where the Spark of Imagination, which needs to be read poetry to be read to it to be kept alive, is kept.

FRIEND OR MENTOR: Roseanna Davis, who is three years older than Robin and teaches her how to care for the Spark.

ENEMY OR RIVAL: Marcus Osgood, the supposed teacher at nearby Kyngdom College, who constantly speaks to Robin in her dreams, telling her to follow him to the Emperor.

FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: Her opal locket, which holds a ruby carved in the shape of a phoenix, given to her by her mother when she was a baby. She does not know its true power.

MOTTO OR FAVORITE SAYING:"Knowledge is limited; imagination encircles the world." (Einstein said that.)

STRENGTHS: Her wild ideas- they always work

WEAKNESSES: Not trusting people enough

BACKGROUND: Orphaned at age four, she was raised by owls and thus became very alert at night. When she was old enough, she left the nest and traveled the Kyngdom at night, flying on her cloak of raven's wings. When she arrived, hungry and tired, at the Hearth of Imagination after a skirmish with an evil wolf, Roseanna Davis, who was watching the door at the moment, immediately took her in and taught her the rules of the place, including how to care for the Spark of Imagination, without which imagination would not exist. Keepers of the Spark must tell it stories every day to keep it burning. Robin's opal locket, a long time ago, rose from the flames of the Spark after a magical chant was said. This locket, specifically the phoenix-shaped ruby inside, has the power to always know the truth in every situation, and is the only thing that can rekindle the Spark if it goes out. However, Robin soon grew restless. She wanted to go, to travel the world, to see the world as a bird at night as she had before. One night, she could bear the urge no longer. She leapt out of bed, packed a few things in her cloak, put her cloak and locket on, and stole away in the night.

JOB/TITLE: Freelance Journalist.

 

APPEARANCE: Wavy caramel hair worn in a high messy bun. Big square red glasses, and a sharp long nose. She’s very tall and always wears very bright colors. She’s twenty-two.  

 

PERSONALITY: She’s very energetic and is a huge extrovert. She is a super optimistic. She can sometimes get distracted from her everyday life by her journalism, and is really dedicated to her work. (Sneaking into B.I.G. headquarters for example) She doesn’t support either B.I.G. or FaFA  

    

HOME: A storage closet deep with in B.I.G headquarters.

STRENGTHS: She is very determined and never gives up. She always helps her friends.

 

WEAKNESSES: She’s a bit naive and gets overexcited and is distractible.    

 

BACKGROUND: Her parents died when she was three while on a mission researching animal sentience in Brazil and she was sent to live with her uncle Adolphus. She got a masters degree in journalism and finished in record time. After she applied to a newspaper and was rejected on the grounds of her uncle’s involvement in the criminal prosecution of B.I.G. she began researching their movements.

BACKGROUND: I grew up and learnt how to hunt and camouflage and use my special eyes, but one day, when I was chasing some butterflies, I heard a crow calling, “HELP! HELP! Someone kidnapped my aunt!” I knew I needed to help him so I raced back home to tell Zaja, my little sister, and Maja, my Mother. They let me go help the crow and I promised to come home at least every day.

Enemy or Rival: her middle school rival, Molly Opperman. They always tried to one-up each other in school.

NAME: Sarcophilus Harrisii (He goes by Sarco)

SPECIES: Tasmanian devil

JOB/TITLE: Exterminator for F.A.F.A. That basically means that he disposes of F.A.F.A’s most prominent enemies. He has Partial-Containable-Rabies, which means that his rabies shows itself only when he is angry.

APPEARANCE: He has white fur, very unusual for his kind of animal. He has bright red eyes and a black blaze down his forehead. Very large for a Tasmanian devil. When he’s angry, his mouth tends to do a lot of foaming. He is two years old, in human time.

PERSONALITY: Very violent in nature, due to his Partial-Containable-Rabies. He is pretty much always angry, again due to his rabies as well as to his past. He has to fight constantly to keep himself under control. Therefore, he keeps away from other beasts during the rare times when he is off duty. He is very quiet, keeping to himself and preferring long walks in the mountains alone to the company of other beasts. He only ever really speaks to his brother, Tasmin (Taz), the only person he knows he can be around without becoming angry.  His brother is also the only one who can use his full name (Sarcophilus) and get away with it.

HOME: A practical burrow in the F.A.F.A barracks. He has installed a strong door, which he keeps locked at all times when he is inside.

MOST OFTEN SEEN AT: Stalking around the perimeter of B.I.G., or wandering about in the mountains during his rare moody flashes.

FRIEND OR MENTOR: His older brother, Taz.

ENEMY OR RIVAL: Besides B.I.G., none. His fellow animals give him LOTS of space, so he has few rivals. And he has already dispatched most of his least favorite people at B.I.G.

FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: His claws and teeth. Besides these very handy belongings, he doesn’t really own anything else.

MOTTO OR FAVORITE SAYING: His Tasmanian devil screams are particularly blood-chilling-- and that’s his favorite way to settle arguments. It also comes in handy for terrifying victims, and for driving away unwanted visitors. Therefore, it’s the sound he makes most often.

STRENGTHS: He is very quick and strong, and, when he is not angry, quite intelligent.

WEAKNESSES: Sarco’s Partial-Containable-Rabies causes him to go completely crazy when he is angry- earning him his respected position as F.A.F.A.’s greatest and most dreaded Exterminator. However, these explosions of vicious fury blind him to mercy and wisdom, even expelling most of his intelligence, which is extremely dangerous to creatures that are not his targets, and also to himself.

BACKGROUND: Sarco and his family lived in a large den in the Forest. The family, consisting of Sarco’s father and mother, his older brother Taz, and Sarco himself, would often set out on hunting trips. One day they trekked a little too close to B.I.G. A few B.I.G trappers caught sight of them, and as the Tasmanian devils were just what the experimental scientists were looking for at that time, the trappers snared them, and brought them into the laboratories for testing. The scientists were experimenting with rabies--trying to discover some way to control, even bridle it. They tested first on Sarco’s mother. The experiment went wrong, and she was dead within an hour. They tried it on Sarco next, and were successful- they had managed to contain the rabies within certain parts of his brain. But then they discovered that this was not such a wonderful discovery, after all--Sarco’s fury and the following carnage and mayhem found all of his mother’s murderers slain, and Sarco and his remaining family outside of B.I.G. and escaping into the Forest.

However, they had hardly been free for three days when a party of fur trappers caught sight of them and chased after them, shooting Sarco’s father dead through the heart and wounding Taz in the leg. Sarco let loose once again, leaving the trappers horribly slain and gentle Taz in profound shock and terror of his brother’s wild anger. When Sarco saw that he had frightened his brother, he pretended to be repentant, for his brother’s sake, though inside he was still raging. Taz’s wound was grim, but they managed to survive three human months in the winter of the Forest, with Taz growing steadily worse, and Sarco fighting the throbbing wrath within himself.

Then F.A.F.A. found them, just when things looked bleakest, and took them in. Taz’s wound was tended, and Sarco went straight to the registration office and demanded a place in their battle forces. The authorities were rather nervous when they learned of his condition, but Sarco was determined to have his revenge upon B.I.G., and the authorities, after long discussion, finally decided that his illness, though incurable, could be used very effectively for their cause. A few of these authorities objected strongly, believing that Sarco’s violence and heartless killing was dangerous and unprecedented. But the majority ruled with the saying “Desperate times, desperate measures” in mind, and Sarco was installed in the Extermination Department. He did his duty only too well, and was soon appointed as the highest in his division. Now he is still determined to bring an end to B.I.G. and all it’s accomplices, no matter how gruesome that end.

Motto or Favorite Saying: When you're in, you are the Wall. When you're out, you are whoever you want to be. 

Strengths: Agility-moves like an alleycat, melts into shadows

Weaknesses: Desire-his want for adventure and freedom blindside him.

Background: Kor has worked all his life as a Sentry, keeping watch on the Eastern Wall of the walled city of Tumbling Pike. Living in a corrupt community, Kor has had to fight to survive, and barely scrapes by when it comes to rations. His half-brother Juki is his only living relative, and Kor's days are all the same: watching for an enemy that will never come. However, he receives a letter from the Brazen Inquiry Guild. Overly excited, he left immediately upon the letter's arrival, telling nobody of his departure. After a long journey, he made it to B.I.G. Labs-and discovered he got a letter intended for somebody else. Kor stayed at the labs anyway, and now works as a spy, collecting information and relaying it to B.I.G.

NAME: Beatrice Clatterhap

Species: Human

Job/Title: Self-titled Great Explorer and Documenter of Strange Beasts

Appearance: Tall, with brown hair, hazel eyes, and fair skin. Wears an aviator helmet, metal goggles, and a white tunic and corset.  

Personality: indepentent and determined

Home: a small bungalow on the coast of the Cheshire Republic, overseas

Most often seen: on a ship, stowing away to a faraway land

Friend or mentor: her father, who taught her about wild creatures and engineering

Enemy or rival: The mysterious man who she blames for her father's disappearance

Favorite possession: the pocket journal that her father used to document newly discovered animals

Motto or favorite saying: Life's all roses and sunshine, until it isn't.

Strengths: Perserverance-she won't give up unless there is no other option (and sometimes not even then)

Weaknesses: Planning-either overthinks or underthinks her next action.

Background: Beatrice lived with her father on the coast of the Cheshire Republic. Her father, Morden, was a great engineer, and loved to invent new devices to aid him in his expeditions to discover new species. He took Beatrice to the jungles of Bonairobi when she was ten, and taught her in his line of work. Beatrice discovered an uncanny sense-something she called The Connection-which enabled her to see into the minds of animals, and speak to them (although the strain was often too great). In the middle of the trip, a strange man knocked on the door of their hotel. He asked if he could talk to Morden. When Beatrice returned, the hotel room had been ransacked, and Morden was gone. Beatrice, in a fit of rage, attempted to hunt down the man, but to no avail. She was eventually recognized by a sailor and taken back overseas. Ever since, she has carried on her father's line of work-both of them. Her inventions include the aeropack, a glider that can be retracted into a backpack, and the septephrene boots, which enable the wearer to cover more distance in one stride. Her discovered species include the Hyrenian monkey-bat and the Tobrissk.

NAME: Madison "Maddie" Mickinnen 

SPECIES: Human

JOB/TITLE: Spy working for FaFA, pretending to be a B.I.G agent (On her missions to "spy on FaFA" she give the FaFA information about B.I.G)

APPEARANCE: Long straw colored hair with a dark pink bandana, pale blue eyes. At home she wears jeans and light shirts. As a spy she wears leggings  and black, gray, or white shirts with a pair of fake glasses.

PERSONALITY: Usually lighthearted, cheerful, and calm, with a good sense of humor, but also very clumsy. When spying she always stays calm, and she is also very quick, but still clumsy at times. Pretty good at fixing things and very creative.

HOME: Lives on her family's farm with her mom, dad, two brothers, and two sisters in northeastern Kyngdom.

MOST OFTEN SEEN AT: Her family's farm, or B.I.G headquarters (She has to keep her visits to the FaFA secret so that B.I.G doesn't find out what she's doing.)

FRIEND OR MENTOR: Her parents and her three older siblings taught her about working on the farm, and her dad (who used to be a spy) taught her most of what she knows about spying. Her best friend is Carley Jefferson who she has known for her whole life and wishes she could tell her the truth about being a spy.

ENEMY OR RIVAL: Marissa Carlin, a B.I.G. agent who is respected by Cornelia Hornshaw because she does some of her dirty work.

FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: A bracelet with small wooden animal charms to remind her of the farm when she's on important missions, or at the non colorful, boring, bland B.I.G headquarters.

MOTTO OR FAVORITE SAYING: At home- Make hay while the sun shines    Spying- Quick, quiet, stealthy, safe

STRENGTHS: Knows tons of information about farming and weather, very creative, and able to think on the spot

WEAKNESSES: Family, her friend Carley, animals, and clumsiness

BACKGROUND: Maddie lived on her family's farm for her whole life, and one day she found B.I.G's letter in the mailbox. She read it, and was very suspicious, especially when she saw the warning not to accept. She decided that she wouldn't respond until she knew more, and she put the letter at the bottom of a drawer in her room. A few days later she received Little Crow's letter, and knew immediately that she wanted to be part of the FaFA. She met an FaFA agent at midnight who told her that she would be a spy. She told her dad, a former spy, and he said that he would teach her all he knew. Eventually, after a lot of training, she joined the FaFA and started spying on B.I.G, getting more and more important missions as she became a better spy. And as of today she is still a loyal FaFA agent.
