NAME: Dione Janik

SPECIES: shapeshifter (human to hawk)

JOB/TITLE: spy for the Sanukans; bigender human, he/she pronouns

APPEARANCE: in human form he’s short for his age (late 20s), has olive skin, amber eyes, and short, curly black hair shaved all around except on top. She has tattoos all across his right arm, from her wrist to the base of his neck. As a hawk she has grey and black feathers.

PERSONALITY: Dione is a master of disguising herself to become whatever the situation needs. He’s often charming, sarcastic, and confident. She revels in frivolity, the spotlight, and deceiving others. She has some amount of compassion but won’t risk much to help others. His main motive is to have fun, but he ultimately believes in fighting for the greater good.

HOME: Grew up in a settlement of shapeshifters near Snow Don, just south of the Sanukan mountains.

MOST OFTEN SEEN AT: Wherever she’s spying at.

FRIEND OR MENTOR: He’s always looked up to General Hviti.

ENEMY OR RIVAL: People who are “too uptight”. And Catastrophe too.

FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: Her pocket knife which she’s called Pallene

MOTTO OR FAVORITE SAYING: Probably something flirtatious and mildly scandalous.

STRENGTHS: an excellent spy and master of disguise and flattery. Can talk to most animals without a cipher due to being a shapeshifter. Fairly agile, good survival skills. Fantastic liar.

WEAKNESSES: Not good at being true to himself, sometimes a little too laid-back, quick to judge and slow to trust. A little attention-seeking and has a large ego.

BACKGROUND: Dione grew up in a poor, somewhat isolated settlement made up mostly of shapeshifters and the occasional Sanukan. Bits and pieces of Sanukan culture found their way there, and it was always Dione’s dream to be part of the Sanukan army. When she was 17, Dione flew up to Sanukaville and ended up crash-landing feet away from a couple of soldiers. They were immediately suspicious of him, but he spun a tale about being a messenger with extremely important information that she had to share with General Hviti. It was convincing enough for the soldiers, but it didn’t fool Hviti. Instead of punishing him, though, Hviti decided to recruit Dione as a spy. She’s currently spying on the Black Skull- the mole talked about in the Beginner thread- and is open to shipping with anyone.

I'm very busy with the RPs on Inkwell but I will post on Kyngdom as my character whenever I have time. What should I do with my character? Where do I start?

BACKGROUND: Onyx grew up with only his mother. He spent most of his time with Casimir or Bernard, running around in the forest or learning how to whittle; until he got a job at the local stables. Casimir is off on mysterious missions now, so Onyx doesn't see him much and can get lonely.

Hello! I'm really excited to join  Kyngdom! If anyone has some tips or suggestions of where to start, or if I'm doing something wrong, please let me know. I'll be making two characters, if that's alright. Thank you so much! 

Also, I don't really want to give my CB name, so I'll just post as my character. @Admins, Caligo is a fake last name!!

NAME: Krystal Lunae Caligo

GENDER/PRONOUNS: Demigirl, she/they

AGE: 18, almost 19

SPECIES: Human

JOB/TITLE: Artisan/Craftsperson (but Artisan has a better ring to it) 

APPEARANCE: Krystal has long dusky brown hair pulled into a messy braid that falls down her back, and fair skin, slightly tanned from long days in the sun. Their face is defined by a small, sharp nose, full pink lips, and piercing amethyst-purple eyes framed by dark lashes. She's on the shorter side of average, with a simple, faded button-down blouse, brown leather jacket, and dark pants. They wear an apron with many pockets and pouches in which they keep their many tools and materials for crafting.  

PERSONALITY: She can come off as very no-nonsense and rigid, and has no patience for people who don't take things seriously. She worked very hard to get where she is (see BACKSTORY) and doesn't appreciate people who take things for granted. They're very serious and professional, they're also stubborn and they doesn't sway easily. Once she gets to know someone and become friends with them, she'll relax a little and actually be fun. 

HOME: TBD, I'll add this later. Probably a nice house with a workshop or something. What are some popular cities/kingdoms in Kyngdom?

ENEMY OR RIVAL: None at the moment, but as stated in their PERSONALITY, they don't like people who don't take things seriously. 

FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: She doesn't really have one, but I guess the tools she works with. 

MOTTO OR FAVORITE SAYING: Don't be afraid of the dark, that's when stars shine the brightest.

STRENGTHS: She's very skilled at crafting.

WEAKNESSES: They're very rigid and no-nonsense, and aren't very accepting of new people.

BACKGROUND: Krystal grew up in a small cottage with her family, her mom, dad, an older sister and an older brother, in a tiny rural village that nobody cared about. Krystal was happy, for the most part, always in the shadow of her brother, who was a guard, and sister, who was a prodigy. Their father was the village craftsperson, and when Krystal turned 12, he started teaching them all he knew, and they were going to take over for him when they were 16. However when Krystal was 14, her village was raided by bandits and her house was burned down. Their parents sadly perished, but they were able to escape and hitch a ride on the back of a wagon. Krystal's siblings were at work/school when the attack happened, so while she hopes they're alive, she hasn't seen them since. The wagon dropped Krystal off at *kingdom, TBD*, and with their old life destroyed, they decided to start anew. She sold the things she didn't need at the market, using the money to pay for lodging and food. At night, they practiced their woodwork, selling the things that turned out good. She was young, and often not taken seriously, but she worked three times as hard to make up for it. When they were 17, their work caught the eye of some nobles and word spread around Kyngdom of their wonderful craftspersonship (that sounds strange but I dislike using gendered terms). She now had fame and fortune - what more could she want? - but Krystal longed for her old life, with her family. They vowed that one day they would search for their brother and sister, hopefully they were still alive.

Here's my second charrie:

NAME: Caia

GENDER/PRONOUNS: Agender, they/them

AGE: Ageless, technically been around for 2 years, and they look like they're in their late teens. 

SPECIES: Clockwork

APPEARANCE: Caia is a clockwork person, kind of like a robot, and functions with toothed gears and springs. Krystal has done a pretty clean job of making them, their face, arms, legs, hands and feet are pale porcelain, the shiny gold gears inside only exposed on the joints and torso. Their hair is blonde and in a pixie cut so that it doesn't get caught in the gears, and their realistic glass eyes are an icy blue. If they wear clothes that cover their arms and legs, shoes, and gloves, they can pass as a human, except for the quiet whirring and turning of gears.

PERSONALITY: Caia might not be a real person, but they do have a personality. They're very loyal to Krystal, since she built them, and help her with anything. Caia's pretty shy and gets nervous/worried easily, especially when Krystal's not around. They are very helpful and enjoy helping Krystal with their work. With Krystal, they are cheerful and talkative. 

HOME: Same as Krystal, stays mostly in her workshop during the day.

FRIEND OR MENTOR: Krystal

ENEMY OR RIVAL: None as of yet, since they don't really go out much. 

FAVORITE POSSESSION OR OBJECT: They don't really have one.

MOTTO OR FAVORITE SAYING: Nothing's impossible, it just hasn't been done yet. 

STRENGTHS: They are very smart and helpful. 

WEAKNESSES: Caia's a clockwork and there's some disadvantages to not being human.

BACKGROUND: Caia was created in the attic of a middle-aged woman who was out of the kingdom most of the time and kind enough to let Krystal stay there for a while. Krystal was 15 then, and still hadn't become a well-known artisan/craftsperson yet. Krystal was lonely, and overwhelmed most of the time, trying to earn enough money to stay alive while also trying to carve a path for herself as an artisan. It was at this time Krystal took a job as a part-time housekeeper for a noble, grateful for whatever extra money they could receive. Krystal saved the money she didn't absolutely need, and little by little assembled better tools and a workshop space in the attic of the woman's house. Using an assortment of broken clock pieces, scrap metal, and whatever else they could find, Krystal started to build Caia in their spare time in the evenings. After months of hard work, Caia slowly came to life. Usually, while Krystal's at work in the marketplace, Caia will tidy up the house and workshop, and when she gets home, they'll work together in the workshop. 

Hey, are there any other CBers who are new to Kyngdom? Would anyone be interested in a RP just for people new to Kyngdom? Like something really low-stakes, like just exploring the land or something, to get used to being on Kyngdom? If enough people are interested I'll create a thread. :D
