Labyrinth Tunnels Code10

If you're new here, start at the first labyrinth post. All the labyrinth posts live on the Power of Claw page.

Well, Wiseowl was right! "N-O-T-H-I-N-G" got us into this new tunnel, but it'll take more than nothing to get us out of it.

Spirits have been high the past couple days, but I think everyone is getting a bit antsy again. First of all, we've been underground over ten days now. Second of all, there's no telling how many more of these combination locks we'll need to solve before we reach whatever's hidden--or whoever's hiding--at the end of this labyrinth.

At least we have each other to keep us occupied. Little Crow has started organizing flying races every few hours, and Silverpaw has been gathering folks for a footrace. There's just enough light in this room for a game of chess--I wish I had brought a board.

By now we know what to expect. Four letters this time:

Remember those strange humming lights a few rooms ago? There's a distant hum coming from behind this next gate, and the suddenly much more talkative old badger is literally reciting letters to it, pausing after every line as if the two are having a conversation: "-J-M-E-M-I-A-K-Z-G-E-F-H-P-Q-X-S-B-Y-W-R-C-T-O-N-U-V-D-L-...Seventeen will leave, nine left over...-J-M-E-M-I-A-K-Z-G-E-F-H-P-Q-X-S-B-Y-W-R-C-T-O-N-U-V-D-L-...Seventeen will leave, nine left over...the green stone is the speaking stone...the speaking stone is the...Seventeen will leave..." and so on.

At least D.I.G., er, B.I.G. seems to be quieter today. Maybe it's a holiday up there. I've lost track of time.

Isn't that a little unfair? It's not actually her birthday.

Well if you really want to enter it you can just say so...

Er, happy birthday, Trill.

I watch as the others celebrate Trill's birthday. It's weird, seeing how many people have only known her for the days we were in here. True, I haven't known her for much longer either. But still. I wonder if these past events in Kyngdom were for the good. I mean, of course they seem disastrous, but they have brought everyone closer together. I'm serious! I used to be a loner, not knowing whom to trust. I started trusting in people because I needed hope. I probably wouldn't have met all of my best friends if it wasn't for all of the problems in Kyngdom. And the story tellers finally have stuff to write about. I finger the trinket I made for Trill, wondering if it will amount to as much as I can and can't say to her. Finally I walk over to Trill. "Trill," I say. Although I was as quiet as a mouse, you would have thought I shouted. They all stop in the festivities. "Umm," I say, looking at the ground. I don't know why I am suddenly so nervous. Finallly, I  just hand her the trinket. "Here," I whisper. I just can't take all of the eyes on me. I go back to where I was sitting. What did I give her? A charm bracelet, with one charm: a music note.

SIDENOTE: THIS IS CONNECTED TO THE STUFF ABOUT TRILL HELPING WISEOWL GAIN BACK HER MUSIC NOTE NECKLACE THAT WAS STOLEN BY MARSHA AT FIRST. (DESPITE TRILL'S EFFORTS, THE NECKLACE IS STOLEN AGAIN.)

Also guys, I want to tell you thank you. And that I still need the thought in play that I am a spy. Just to make Kyngdom more interesting. Now my sister is annoying me constantly to wait for me to play Barbies with her (not my choice, by the way) so I'd better go.
