I'm going to keep this one short because I don't know who's reading. Certain parties might have access to this site, and the less they know the better. Little Crow still isn't back, and we have no information except for what Who, the owl, already reported: they split up.
I let Trill enter the code this time, since she guessed it first: Y-E-S-T-E-R-D-A-Y. (Kudos also to Scarlet and Arra.) The dark, heavy door creaks open, and we see a welcome sight:
A short, well-lit hallway. You might even say the light is warm. It hums at a low frequency and a high frequency at the same time, and almost seems to be speaking to us. The badger's eyes light up, too, as he scratches another letter off the bark:
-J-M-E-M-I-A-K-Z-G-E-F-H-P-Q-X-S-B-Y-W-R-C-T-O-N-U-V-D-L-
The next combination lock shows we need a five-letter word, and the next riddle appears to be projected by the strange light source onto the opposite wall.
Can anyone help? Also, if you hear Little Crow's wingflaps coming down the tunnel, please alert me immediately.

Charlie, did you get the scroll I showed you?
Man, I was trying so hard to figure that out! But I'm not quite used to the Cypher yet, and I got a bunch of gibberish. Graph seems to fit. I can't beleive I didn't see that before! I did tons of graphing this year!

I fly into the caves. I see Wiseowl saying graph. I look at the code. Matches. I tell Charlie that when I was arriving, I didn't see any sign of Little Crow. I asked the wind to search for him. It may take some time, but the first report was no sign, and that no wind was coming this way when he disappeared. The wind suggested that he may be deep in a cave system/tunnel, maybe lost. Maybe someone kidnapped Little Crow?

Nobody realizes that both Icy and I are missing too, as well as Little Crow. XD

Is it any of these:
Coordinates? Graph? Math? Points? Plot?
(May 27, 2016 - 8:02 pm)
Graph is the only one you suggested that has 5 letters.

I got dropped back to third grade math and still suck at it, but try Right. Like a right angle?
(May 28, 2016 - 12:10 pm)
Everyone! We are running into a trap! Little Crow, Icy, and Eli are all missing! And has anyone at all noticed the mysterious note? And of course I'm not going to mention the suspicious figure that seems to be watching us. We need to either stop the mission and go back or try to find out what happened to everyone.

My bats are safe. I think that may have to do with the fact that bats live in the dark.
(May 27, 2016 - 11:11 pm)
If you're going back, you're going into a trap. But, I agree, we should go back. BUT WE SHOULD DO ALL AT ONCE! People went back one at a time and didn't come back. I think everybody, or at least everybody who can fight should go back.

I got out. But, I was with Alexander. I wonder if this creature hates as Alexander calls them "dayseers" or animals that live above ground or are not nocturnal. I have seen lots of bats here.

I created a thread for a group that wants to find everyone that's missing, and figure out this whole owl business.

I finish talking to Thisleclaw and approach Scarlet, scroll in hand.
"Hey, Scarlet," I begin quietly, beckoning her over to a quiet corner where no one else can hear us. "What do you think about Who being the spy?" I ask once she's over. Surprised at my question, she ruffles her feathers and looks down at me.
"I'm not sure," she says eventually. "But I do know that a bunch of people in our group have diappeared. Do you think Who is behind it?"
I consider this suggestion for a moment, gently tapping my tail on the dark, cold, rough stone. "Maybe," I speculate so quietly that she has to stoop to hear me. "But look at this scroll I found in a tunnel yesterday! Maybe something else is capturing people."
I show her the scroll, and she looks at it for a long time before lifting her head up again. She has to squint to read the undersized writing, and I'm thankful birds have such good eyesight that Scarlet might be able to help me. (When Charlie read it he had to use a magnifying glass.)
"Wow. Have you already looked inside it?" She wonders. I stare at her for a second, and ask an important clarifying question.
"Inside it? What do you mean?"
"It says that there's also a secret message IN the scroll. And I noticed how unusually thick it was, so why not give it a go?"
"Scarlet, you're a genius!" I squeak happily. Turning the scroll to face me, I skim over its words one more time. The poem seems to be warning us about something and it says to not take anything for granted, nor to go off the path ever. That we should find what we're looking for and go straight back, unless we all want to...die. Should I really open this up?
I pick up the thick parchment and shake it. I don't hear any movement inside. I look at the sides of the old paper. If I squint hard enough, I can see tiny writing, as well as a few blank lines. "Yep, there's a code here," I announce; whispering. My curiosity has taken over, and now I have to open it.
"What's it say?" She asks when she notices how my face becomes confused as I read it. Quickly I read the last few words and tell her the riddle.
"It says, 'The answer to this riddle you might think is simply solved, but as time and years went by this famous saying has evolved. To show you're truly worthy of the openening of your eyes, the answer to my riddle is the opposite of '____'.' And underneath all that it has a purple sentence that says, 'Sticks and stones will break my bones but _____ will never hurt me.'"
Scarlet looks confused, too. "Hey, Scarlet, I'm going to show this to Charlie and see if he can't think of an answer."
Scarlet nods, lost in thought. I roll up the scroll, make sure Who isn't nearby, and approach Charlie the same way I did Scarlet earlier.
(May 28, 2016 - 6:35 am)
Well usually people say "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but WORDS will never hurt me."
Also, could the other blank be lies? Then what is the opposite of lies? Truth?
I actually first heard this: . . . but NAMES will never hurt me.

"Wait!" I call as Thimble scurries away to Charlie. she runs back. "I don't know the first one, but thanks to my dad, a smart rooster, I know the second one! He had this old saying that went, 'Sticks and Stones will Break my Bones, but words will never hurt me! The answer is words!"

In real life, I knew that from my dad XD

Plane also has five letters! As in, coordinate plane! Which one is right, plane or graph?
