Have a poem,
Chatterbox: Inkwell
Have a poem,
Have a poem, darlings. I'd love some feedback, especially as I don't attempt rhyme very often. It's called "The Beast Who Feeds on Fear."
*
And just what will cause the apocalypse?
A hint: It won’t be politics.
It won’t come in fire or ice or flood
There won’t be explosions or rivers of blood.
You know that the end of the world, my dear
Will come from the beast who feeds on fear.
He killed off our loved ones, he tortured our friends
He used all our fears towards his villanous ends.
And he made us fear: memory, shadows, the dark
Blinking and gas masks - such was his hallmark.
He made us fear things like the cracks in our walls
At the end, you know, he made us his thralls.
Will the world end with a bang, a whimper, a yell?
What will we hear when it all goes to hell?
The last thing we hear before we all die:
An anguished howl, an agonised cry.
I can tell you, though I’m no prophet:
‘Twill be a furious shout of “MOFFAT!”

I did a double-take as soon as I saw, "blinking and gas masks."

THE ENDING.
OH SWEET SNAKES THE ENDING. I LOVE IT.
I seriously haven't laughed so hard in ages because TRUTH.
And it was especially funny, because, of course, in the second stanza I was like... um... this sounds a bit like... Doctor Who...? So the third stanza was like OH OF COURSE I SHOULD HAVE SEEN THAT COMING.
Also your rhymes are better than mine.
((Who's excited for the NYC Weeping Angels episode next series?! *whimper*))

All I know about Moffat is that he's British and from Doctor Who. But this poem was AMAZING!

The real current time lord goes to my school and she won't tell me where her tardis is hidden >=(

This. This is awesome. Well... and just the perfect thing for me right now seeing as I watched a Moffat episode earlier today and now for some strange reason have not been able to fall asleep. The poem is very, very much appreciated and I will now proceed remember to watch Moffat episodes strictly in the morning.
