If you don't know, IWL is a site that looks a pasted piece of text then says what author you're like. I've gotten Kurt Vonnegut (NaNo 2010), J.K. Rowling (something on a broken USB), Douglas Adams and Dan Brown (NaNo 2011 for both).
And the reason I received two different authors for NaNo2011 is because when you press ctrl + A which is supposed to copy the whole text/document, it just copies the "scrivening" or little area that I'm working on/choose.
So who have you guys gotten? And my friend once pasted some HP and she got the person who wrote Little House on the Prairie I think.

I usually flip-flop between H.P. Lovecraft and J.K. Rowling. xD I got Poe once.
Specifics... Let's see...
Half the Sea as Well is all Lovecraft.
The TMG stories are both J.K. Rowling, as is the Society for the Preservation of Decent Literature.
Chaoskampf (NaNo'11) is half Lovecraft and half Rowling.

Lol. I'm guessing IWL counts how many times you say "Avada kedavra" or "big bird" or...
I tried it with ten separate short stories and poems and got different people for each one: Cory Doctorow, Ian Flemming, L. Frank Baum, Chuck Palahniuk, Ray Bradbury, James Joyce, J.K. Rowling, Anne Rice, Edgar Allen Poe, and Lewis Carroll.
This website I Write Like has the unfortunate side effect of making you feel un-original :P
The spam thingy said "xrek". As in Shrek?

Wow, and that's how I waste my time :D

I don't know who Anne Rice is, but I get her every time my selection contains the word, "Queen." XD
She's an author. Looks like she writes vampire books.

Anne Rice is like the Stephenie Meyer of before. She probably was a better writer as well.

Wrote, past tense. And then she discovered religion and excommunicated them. And then for a while she wrote Christainity-centered historical fiction. And now she's doing... something else. I don't know. I'm just in it for the dramaaaaaz, which she's good at. :) (Although her earlier works were decent-to-good, I will admit.)

Actually... that kind of makes sense that I would get her. O.o Also the Queen eats people. So there might be a connection to vampires.

She also wrote a book about her conversion to Catholicism. Then, she converted from Catholicism and wrote a book about that. At one point (when she was Catholic, I think) she wrote a novel from Jesus' point of view, which my mother says is rather strange.

I got Stephen King. I have no idea who he is.
He's a writer of what I'd call horror stories.

The movies It (aka what made me scared of clowns), The Shining ("Here's JOHNNY!") and some others were based on his novels.
IT is the movie with the creepy clown with the long face.

I have never heard of any of those movies. And the part I put in didn't have anything to do with a horror story. And it definetly didn't have anything to do with clowns, creepy or otherwise.

I just got H.P. Lovecraft for a current project that is not related to NaNo. I have no idea who he is, but he seems to write a lot of skeletal-related fiction. ??

He created the Cthulu mythos if that helps any. :D

*Cthulhu. Spelling fail.

So far I've gotten Kurt Vonnegut, Ursula K. Leguin, and J.K.Rowling.
