Quote Thread! :)
I'm starting a thread to post 1) famous quotes (from history or recent ones) 2) non-famous quotes (same as 1) 3) your own quotes.
Just make sure that when you post your favorite quotes, you say who said them, even if it was you or your little cousin or your neighbor or Justin Beiber :P or whoever.
Here's one that I made up, it's very...passionate... and I'm sorry if somebuggy doesn't agree with it, i'm not trying to offend anybuggy:
Tolerance is for those who have not the patience nor the love inside them to learn acceptance.
So, post your favorite quotes! :)
"Anything worth doing, is worth doing well."
Said by my friend Cindy, I have it posted over my desk.

"Choosing five favourite books is like choose the five body parts that you'd most like not to lose." - Neil Gaiman

I like both of those. :) Here's mine:
How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.
–Abraham Lincoln
I've always loved that one. :) I also like this one, but it is a line (actually two lines) from a poem. That ok, Snake?
Here it is:
…And all the colors I am inside,
Haven't been invented yet.

"That's impossible!"
--my 3 year old brother (he says that at random times and sometimes it's pretty funny)
"Get me some ice water that is freezing!"
--same as above (It used to be "cold ice water cup" then "ice water that is cold" and now "ice water that is freezing")

That's fine! :) I love Shel Silverstein:
Listen to the mustn'ts child.
Listen to the don'ts.
Listen to the shouldn't haves, the impossibles, the won'ts.
Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me.
Anything can happen child.
Anything can be.

Snake, you must be kidding!!!! Have you heard about the new book, "Everything On It"?
here's a poem I memorized:
Years From Now
Although I can not see your face
As you flip these poems awhile
Somewhere from some far-off place,
I hear you laughing, and I smile.

Oops. I forgot. That poem is Shel Silverstein's.

You would quote yourself. (Not that I'm not about to quote myself.)
"Taking over the world isn't really my thing. If it was I'd have done it already."
"If you want to know all a girl's secrets, invite her to a sleepover, keep her up until three am, and feed her sugar."
Also: by my friend:
"I got a fortune cookie today that said, 'A leader is powerful to the degree that he empowers others.' Why can't people be more like fortune cookies? Wise, smart, tasty, crunchy, tasty... conveniently packaged?"
And Meadow: "Never try to milk a chicken. It almost never works."
