Advice for how to survive excess homework?
Hey, everybuggy! (Many of you probably don't know me; it's been forever since I last posted.) So, I have a question. How do you guys rid yourselves of extra writing juices when you have no time to write? (I know it sounds crazy, but I actually am so swamped with homework that I literally have no time to write!) I have so many ideas that bounce around in my head, but no time to explore them. What do you guys do to quiet the urge to write when you can't?
Thanks!
(P.S. Spammy says ynox. Why knock? Because it's polite to do so before entering. Unless you're talking about bad knock-knock jokes?)
I'd suggest you at least jot down a few words to remind you of each idea in a notebook. Then whenever you do have time, you can refer to the notes and get started.

OK, hardish one. I write before bed. While I'm sitting on my bed. And I listen to my iPod at the same time, and that blocks out extra noise.
For the extra ideas that bang on your head, never write in full sentences. Words. Very keyish words. Use words that will make sense to you, and connect the floating dots inside your head.
Sneak. Write whenever. Example: I'm writing this when I'm supposed to be doing my Humanities extra credit at 10:10 pm. I'll go do it now.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestion! It's a really good idea. I ususally keep a few pieces of paper next to my bed for midnight inspiration anyway, so I'll just switch to a notebook or my laptop for 5 minute flash-writing periods.

Thanks for the advice Admin. I already have a few pieces of paper that I carry around with me, so I can easily do this.

I know how you feel! I have so much homework, I can only write on the weekends. Usually I keep a list of story ideas on my computer so I don't forget anything, with just names and seemingly random words on it. It really helps, even if I don't get to writing them right away. Also, if you really have the urge to write but have too much homework, just write for 5-10 minutes or so on a laptop or notebook, then get back to what you're supposed to be doing. Hope this helps!

I write poems on the computer whenever I get the chance to.
I don't have to go to a school building during the day because I'm taught at home which has its good side and bad side.

This helps me when I'm itching to read and write: Set a time limit for yourself while doing homework. When that time is done, read or write for say 5 or 10 minutes. Then resume your homework.
For example: I have so much homework, but I hate it and I want to write because I have a million ideas in my brain at the moment. OK, so set a time limit. I'll do my homework for 45 minutes, then write for 5 or 10, AND NO MORE. Take a snack/water break. Do another 45 or so of homework, then 5 or 10 writing. Take sips of water. Ok, now I'm almost done with my school but my time to write is 2 minutes away. Easy solution. Finish your work. Then write.
Hope it helps!

Thanks for all the great suggestions, everybuggy! I will attempt to use all of them, and hopefully one of them will work for me.

I LOVE to write, and I am almost always exploding with ideas so I found a way to do this.
I have the story running in my head, and then add the idea in the slot where it's supposed to be, but I also have a HUGE amount of notebooks that I jot down ideas whenever they rush at me.
Hope this helps.
