Hello, people!

So I'm writing a book called A Layer of Fire.  It's about a girl, Zali, who has discovered that her village has been burnt to the ground!  So she sets out with her two friends Isile and Anny (and maybe a traitor or two) to destroy the evil gang that sent her village to smoke: the Ekinil.

I am planning to get it published when I'm done, so look out for a black book with red letters in your local library and/or bookstore soon!Laughing

P.S. Not that soon. Still!

Olive, do you play piano competitively?  I do too.  Right now I'm learning the Schumann Piano Concerto in A minor.

I applaud you! Writing is hard, and writing a book is really hard. But I would think: Definitely worth it!

Great!  Those are names that sound like something I would do.  I take it you're a fiction/fantasy writer (like most of us here).  When you'r ready to publish, just tell us. ;)

Uh wait... so this girl wasn't in her village when it was burnt down?  What happened to all the people in it?  Why wasn't she there?  How did she hear about it and why would someone burn down her village in particular?  Is there something different about it?
