Chatterbox: Inkwell

Dog Poem.... Thanks for clicking. Earlier I wrote a poem about my dog, but it wasn't true. Now she's gone. My dog, taken by my mom and killed (sounds worse, she was sick and without telling my she and my big brother took her to the vet and had her put to sleep.) But still! So this is a much more accurate poem.

Baby girl, I love you.

Always have, always will

Puppy girl, I miss you.

I'll never stop loving you, girl*

You were my first dog, you see.

And I loved you, as much as can be

The first night I met you, on a winter's eve

You ran right through me, literally.**

Baby girl, I love you.

Always have, always will

Puppy girl, I miss you.

I'll never stop loving you're will

The very last time I saw you, skinny as could be

You had cancer, and I loved you, even if you couldn't see. 

Writing this here brings tears to my eyes, baby puppy girl,

But know that I always will love you,  I always will.

Kind of a happier version of what really happened, but If I said the whole thing, I think i would be totally sobbing by now. D: 

We're so sorry about your dog, Jean. As time goes on, you'll feel less sad and be able to remember the good times you had together and smile about them.
