There seems to be a LOT of RPs around, so I decided to start a Round Robin.
(To those who don't know what a Round Robin is, it's where someone begins a story, someone adds, etc etc.)

to important, if they got it, then it would be disaster, pure disaster. Kayalo dogded a tree, looking behind him. The shadow could not pass, for on this side of the forest, there was no light. And no light is no shadow.
Kayalo smiled proudly as he slowed to a sluggish jog, stopping to lean against a tree casually. It opened, and he fell head first into a dark hole, swollowed up by the darkness of the tree.
He was not at all moved by this, for this was his usual day. the tree was his home, their home, and no enemy -- at least no the shadows -- could get in.

YAY! Somebody POSTED! Bu only, like, two hours ago...that's an interesting effect I did there with the ='s. Hm.

"Elder." Kayolo said. "I have the information." [Nobody knows Elder's name, so that's what they call him.]
Elder nodded. He was dropping mints into a liquid.
"Bring it here."
Kayolo walked up to Elder and handed the wooden tablet to him.
Then Elder looked up. "Kayolo, young rookie, put the tablet in the mixture."
Kayolo was suprised. "Wh-what do you mean?"
"Only the one who places the tablet in the mixture can take it out. The Shadow will think I am the one who put it in. But never you."
Kayolo gasped. "B-but would'nt they take you hostage? And-even kill you?"
Elder smiled. "They would'nt dare kill me. If they did that, no-one could get the tablet out. Or so they would think. Now put it in."
Kayolo's hand trembled as he put the tablet in.
Elder sighed. "At last, the job is done. Good night, young rookie."
Kayolo walked through the tunnel to his qaurters in The Resistiance headqaurters, but Elder called him back.
"And Kayolo," he said, "Do not tell anyone."

Kayolo sat on his chair in his room, worrying that Elder might be harmed. While he was sitting, the shadow came into the room, and asked, "Where is Elder?"
Kayolo was frightened, the whispy voice of the shadow chilled his bones. Then the shadow swept its way to find Elder.
As Kayolo stopped being stunned by his fright, he hurried off to find Elder and warn him. He ran into the shadow; the shadow had caught Elder. The breath of the shadow chilled his bones once again.
The shadow swept away, out of the tree, bringing Elder with it. The forest, being very dark, seems that there would be no way for a shadow to be, but this shadow had found a very unusual thing; a flashlight.

Kayolo sighed. There was no possible way to defeat a Shadow--they just disappeared on the spot. But like Elder said, they wouldn't kill him, and torture, to someone as old as he was, was like murder.
But he had to be rescued. So Kayolo grabbed a rope, his water-pack, and a bit of special Resistance healing potion--Elder's own invention. He knew that they wouldn't harm him, but Shadows can be rough. Too rough. The water was for splashing over any light they had--a flashlight, a campfire, etc. The Resistance had special packs that were filled with water and had two hoses coming out. Water was the most valuable Shadow-extingusher.
Kayolo saw two lights. And not just any lights--a flashlight beam and a flickering campfire. He slipped into the trees. Then when he got close to the fire, he would use both hoses to extinguish the fire and corode the flashlight's batteries.
Now, he thought. But just as he was about to turn the hoses on, the flashlight beam swung in his direction. Now he had a shadow. He knew what would happen next.
The shadow turned into a Shadow. It grabbed him just as he turned on the hoses, but his arms got wrenched sideways, bumping into a thorn tree, puncturing the pack, letting the water spill, disabling him of any defense, so the Shadows could get him.
He had had no shadow, but then it began to fade back...and then another Shadow stood before him, dragging him to the campfire.
