Personality: tough, agile, can be cruel when she wants to. She cares about no one exept maybe her older brother- but he died in the Games two years ago. She volunteered because she has vowed to avenge his death. However, despite her hard outward appearance, she can be quite emotional. But veeeeery rarely. Beware, as if she is sad or in pain, it transforms into anger.

I will be doing it in 1st person because I want to "be there". Okay, here goes-

I stepped forward onto the stage. "Isn't this great! A volunteer! And your name is..." the woman said cheerfully. I didn't know her name. Frankly, I didn't care. "Sakai Kudrana." I narrowed my eyes as I said this. The audience fell silent. No cheering. I hated it. I hated when they acted like it was just a game. Well, people, you are wrong. Is life a game? How would you like it if you were in the arena, fighting, knowing you had no chance of escape? My brother was sixteen when he died. At least he went down valiently. You live pampered lives. No, you mean nothing. Your cheering means nothing.

The woman seemed to see my anger. She giggled nervously. That's right. Be afraid. "Ahem, well, our next contestant! The boy from District 8 is.....!"

I guess I should top this because some people like the hunger games.
