Chatterbox: Inkwell

Hi, everyone. I was bored, so I decided to do a few haikus. They just popped out of my head. If you are going to be critical, keep in mind that these haven't been revised or edited.

Gecko

Creeping on the tree,

the gecko stares, pounces, kills,

insect devoured

Sticky feet clinging,

he darts away into leaves,

waiting for his prey

But he has to watch,

keeping alert for hunters,

or his life may end.

Wolf

The wolf scents the air,

ears pricked for an easy kill,

as he trots towards deer

He hides in the brush,

waiting for his pack's signal

to strike, attack, kill

Cat

Curled up and purring,

the cat dreams of hunting birds

in the light of sun

She wakes, drinks warm milk,

then she finds her way outside,

into the forest

Leaves dapple the ground,

birds chirp and twitter in trees.

Then, the cat pouces.
