ZNZ and Meadow!
ZNZ and Meadow! OK, ZNZ, what do you want to write about? Fantasy? Sci-fi? Mystery? realistic fiction? No romance, please, I don't like writing about romance. Any plot idea's? I think that the story should be in a different world so that we can be more flexible. OK, when you see this you can post some of your idea's! Bye!

Ok, it's good to hear from you! I was starting to worry.
(February 22, 2010 - 7:59 pm)
Sorry! The last post on here was from a week ago! February was a very busy month for my family...
Yes, and now, I shall write the falling-through-the-hole part again.
~~~~~
Onyx, a small child of curiousity, wound his way through the puffy tufts of stray clouds. His greenish eyes shimmered, touched by the beauty of the landscape - well, skyscape, before him. His sister, Kayla, and himself were playing hide-and-seek in front of their home, on the silver air-looking, unpenatratable gas they call Silversun ((couldn't think of anything better. The names you dislike, you can change, if you'd like. :D)).
Onyx had traveled far from their blue home, towards the clouds where he could crouch down and be unseen. His sister stopped counting, and loudly said the popular hide-and-seek words in her young, happy voice.
She, at first, went into the house, and then remembered that te rules were they could not hide there. Then she went farther away from Onyx, hidden away from him in the dark clouds. He was starting to get impatient with her, for it does ot take long for children to loose their patients. Why didn't she look here? He decided to go forward, towards where he saw her last, but still staying unseen as possible.
A black head pooped up, out of the clouds in front of him, about three yards away. Onyx muffled a yelp, and his brown head went down, under the low white puffy things. The head and the unseen body behind him, for he was slowly walking away, made a loud noise, and Onyx jumped.
Kayla saw him, and ran after him. He ran away; they were playing hide-and-seek-tag, not just hide-and-seek. The distance between them grew, slowly. Kayla, her little legs screaming at her, stopped, and plopped down onto the silversun. "I give up. You win."
But Onyx did not hear her, for he was falling quite fast, through the air, down, down, down...
~~~~
Yes. That is all. If you'd like to, you could revise it. If you do not like it at all, then one of us could rewrite it. I am fine with any choice you make. :D
(March 2, 2010 - 8:20 pm)
I like what you wrote. One thing -- I would either leave out Kayla's name there or have the Earth people give Onyx another name, so when they meet it's not quite so obvious that they're brother and sister.
~~~~
Years later ((dunno how many years. I'm bad at that.You can fill that in.))
"Five people in the last week. Five people fallen through holes. The holes are opening, Lanch," Mr. Okif, one of the top scientists on Silversun, said to Kayla's father. He sat back at the kitchen table. "We don't know what to do."
The words filled Kayla with dread, and, looking at her parents, she knew they felt the same. Her own brother had been lost years ago to whatever was under the Silversun. He had fallen through, and nobody knew where he was. Nobody knew what was under there.
Mr. Okif's voice interrupted her thoughts. "We've been studying. We might be able to fix it, if we could find something that worked like the Silversun."
"That 'something' doesn't exsist," said her father, his voice suddenly harsh. "There's no way it can. Stop chasing after shadows. This isn't one of your science experiments. This is people's lives."
Kayla swallowed. "Dad? Maybe it exsists . . . under. If someone were to go under on purpose, they could find out what was there, and if there was something that would work." She paused. "I could go."
"That's brilliant! Maybe we could even find the people who went under! Lanch, you have an amazing daughter."
"No! We can't risk someone's life under there, when we don't know what's there. Especially not my daughter's." He laid a protective hand on Kayla's shoulder. Her mother nodded in agreement.
"Well, of course not your daughter. It should be someone who knows the proper formulas, so . . ." He was already rising from his seat. "I'm sorry, Lanch, I need to go investigate this. I'll let you know what we decide."
Kayla watched him go. Whoever they choose, she thought, I'm going with them. My brother is somewhere under there. I'm gonna find him.
~~~~~
So. There 'tis. What do you think? Also, any suggestions for names? I don't especially like the names I came up with.
(March 4, 2010 - 5:06 pm)
I'll revise my thing so it does not say Kayla. I'm going to have the Earth people name Onyx, Chance. They maybe don't understand his language. And then he forgets it and laearns Earths language. now, for Falling, the revised edition beginnning of story thing:
~~~~
Onyx,
small child of curiousity wound his way through the puffy tufts
of stray clouds. His greenish eyes shimmered, touched by the beauty of
the landscape - well, skyscape, before him. His sister and
himself were playing hide-and-seek in front of their home, on the silver
air-looking, unpenatratable gas they call Silversun.
Onyx had traveled far from their blue home, towards the clouds where he
could crouch down and be unseen. His sister stopped counting, and
loudly said the popular hide-and-seek words in her young, happy voice.
She, at first, went into the house, and then remembered that te rules
were they could not hide there. Then she went farther away from Onyx,
hidden away from him in the dark clouds. He was starting to get
impatient with her, for it does ot take long for children to loose their
patients. Why didn't she look here? He decided to go forward, towards
where he saw her last, but still staying unseen as possible.
A black head popped up, out of the clouds in front of him, about three
yards away. Onyx muffled a yelp, and his brown head went down, under
the low white puffy things. The head and the unseen body behind him,
for he was slowly walking away, made a loud noise, and Onyx jumped.
His sister saw him, and ran after him. He ran away; they were playing
hide-and-seek-tag, not just hide-and-seek. The distance
between them grew, slowly. The girl, her little legs screaming at her,
stopped, and plopped down onto the silversun. "I give up. You win."
But Onyx did not hear her, for he was falling quite fast, through the
air, down, down, down...
~~~~
Yes, and now I shall write about the magical place people call Earth. Their silversun is called 'dirt'. :D
~~~~
Onyx fell, slowly. The clouds became thicker, and then gradually became less and less, until he could see below him. he was far away from the odd green thing below him. And that brown thing that looked like a stick with other smalll simalar to circle green things on it getting bigger.
He was high above the ground now, because the thing that is actually many times taller than him, was about the length and size of his arm. Well, atleast it seemed that way, until he fell onto it, it's branches braking his fall painfully.
Cracking sounds quite bad when your not sure if it's you or the thing you're sort of sitting on. That's why the boy was afraid to move. he just sat-or, maybe layed- there for a while until a few older boys speeking gibberish started poking at him with sticks.
After a few minutes of unorganized poking, the boys apparently in charge started telling the other boys what to do. They all poked on one side. And the boy fell thirteen feet. not much for him, becasue he'd allready fallen many yards without stopping, but hitting the hard ground did get a groan out of him.
The boys carried the smaller boy to their town. Well, more like they faught among themselves and suddenly came up with the conclusion that the boy that wasn't fighting should carry him. he obviously didn't care, for he was smaller than all the other boys, (except for the tree-boy, of course) and all the big boys knew that smaller boys don't care about anything. Plus, he was the one that insisted in going with them when they tolde him he could not come.
So they made it to their town, telling people how heroic they were at saving this lost orphan that was stuck up in a tree. They gave the boy to the only orphanage of the town of Pinvie.
The boy ws the only three-and a half year old there that didn't know any language at all. Well, he knew gibberish, but that does not count. But he learned to speak eventually. He also got adopted eventually. And he got named eventually.
~~~~
You have written from eleven years after Onyx fell, I believe, becasue Kayla is thirteen now. Do you think that the two parts I wrote of Onyx falling from the sky should be together? I think they should, so it won't be, past, now, past.
(March 5, 2010 - 4:45 pm)
Yeh, I would put 'em together. And yes, 11 years. Good idea about the different languages. Hadn't thought of that. I'm gonna write my next part, and post it soon's I get it done.

'K.
(March 6, 2010 - 12:23 pm)
Kayla inched along the hallways of the offices. This building was where all the most important decisions on the Silversun were made, where all their leaders worked. She had never been there before, but had always wondered what it could be like inside. Now, though, that she was finally inside, she had no time to look at the fine paintings on the walls, or the beautiful furniture. No one knew she was here.
Keeping as quiet as she could, she leaned against the wall, pressing her ear against it. Buildings on the Silversun had very thin walls, because the plants up there were small and few. Eavesdropping was easy.
She heard the hum of voices inside, and realized excitedly that this room was where the meeting was taking place. The meeting her parents were at, where it was going to be decided who would go down under the Silversun.
After a few minutes, the voices quieted down. She heard someone stand up, and then Mr. Okif's voice. "After days of study, we've decided the best thing to do is send someone under -- " He stopped. People were gasping.
"There might not be any under. There might be nothing. You could be killing someone for nothing." She didn't recognize this voice.
Mr. Okif continued calmly and surely. "We realize the possibility. That's why we will only send down a volunteer. They will search for something that can be used to complete our formulas for a substitute Silversun. They will also do their best to locate any people who were lost through the holes.
"One of our best scientists has volunteered for this job." Who? Kayla wondered on the other side of the wall. Jom, maybe? Or Tren? Either of those men was more than capable of what needed to be done.
He continued. "She is intelligent, capable, and brave. She knows exactly what sort of substance we need for our formulas." So it's a woman. She was slightly surprised. There weren't that many female scientists.
"Elisa. Thank you so much for volunteering. You know it will be dangerous."
"Yes." The new voice was soft, but very sure.
"You will leave tomorrow." Tomorrow! I don't have very much time to talk to her . . . "So it's decided. Meeting adjourned."
Kayla hurried to leave. She would go home, first, and pack her things. After that she would try to learn where this Elisa lived.

Sorry! I haven't been on CB for a while. And the last post was a week ago! I wrote more of the story, I only have a little more to write, but it's on my family's other computer. I'll post it when I get on the other one... :D

Raen
woke up with a thud. He quickly looked to his left to see the cat on
the table with a large clear ball on the floor. Raen breathed out
slowly. The cat hadn't broken the crystal. Raen, apprentice of the
most trusted fortune teller of the town got up out of the messy bed.
Stretching, he changed into his over-sized clothing. His teacher had
miscalculated the fourteen-year-old boys size.
The
room was medium-sized, with tan walls and a wooden floor that should
have been replaced long before this time. There were two never-made
beds with mismatched sheets and pillows found in the room, opposite
walls from each other. At the end of each bed was a chest holding
the clothes and possessions of the two people that sleep in the room.
On the two remaining walls were shelves holding books and more books
and cards and more cards and many more things of fortune telling
uses. In the middle of the room was bare floor. A crystal sphere
sat on a table beside the slightly larger bed that hadn't been slept
in for man hours.
Raen
followed his cat out of the room into a dusty, dark, incense smelling
room. Dark blue cloth hung over the windows. It was small and
cramped, the complete opposite of the other room. Raen's teacher had
told him that, even thought he didn't like the room, he had to have
it, for people would not like it if it was a cheerful light place.
People thought fortune tellers should be mysterious.
But
Raen did not go to his teacher's side, for today was his day off. He
walked out of the jingling door, and into the wet streets being
washed by rain. He breathed in deeply. Rain, perfect for this time
of year. Watering the plants longing for water. If it was not
raining, Raen would be very surprised.
But
Raen had not just some out to enjoy rain, he came out to visit his
friend, fellow orphan, Chance. When they had first met, they were
both six. They would have met earlier, if it wasn't for the large
amount of orphans in Pinvie. But at least they met, making the best
kind of best friend you could have for both of them.
And
that was when he came to Chance's door, after many hard to remember
turns. He didn't have to knock, because of the habit of your best
friend won't care, whatever he's doing. But maybe your friends
adoptive mother would, if she was wearing her “cleaning clothes”
and was halfway done sweeping the entire house when someone walked
through the door and disrupted her pile.
“Sorry.”
Raen changed the subject quickly, “Where's Chance?”
“The
Tower,” the lady said quickly, shoeing Raen out of the house.
He
started down the narrow path that served as a walkway to the streets.
The way to the tower was easy to remember; walk towards the tower.
The Tower of Nine, rising over all the town, was easy to see, even
from city's near Pinvie. People came to see it all over the state.
That's why it was easy for Raen and his master to tell people their
fortunes; You will see great sights in the near future.
Raen
guessed that Chance was there blabbing onto the scientists on how
they should do stuff. He loves to help, but sometimes it gets
annoying.
The
Tower was getting larger now, it's large windows gleaming in the sun.
Behind the strong windows were scientific – or magic --
contraptions that do things that Raen, not even Chance could believe
possible.
And
that is when Raen came to a small decimal of the perimeter of Tower.
The great, gold coated doors were where Raen had hoped he would be,
but he had to walk for a few minutes towards the golden gleam before
he came before them and Chance.
Chance,
surprisingly, was there alone. No other people, no sound. He was
listening at the door quietly. He glanced at Raen, and beckoned for
him to come over. Raen came, asking chance a bundle of questions.
Chance did not answer like he usually did.
“Shh.
Quiet, I'm trying to find a way to get in,” Chance tapped the left
door thrice, then the right one in the same spot thrice. “Three
times three: nine,” whispered Chance.
“Why
are you tryin' to get in?” Raen asked.
Chance
scowled at him, “Do not talk! I almost got it, then you broke my
concentration.
“Sorry.”
The
doors started to open slowly. Chance danced in a fit of glee. He
stopped after he saw the two men and a woman walk out with an odd
looking man with blue-tinged skin. Raen thought they must have been
experimenting on him, didn't get enough oxygen. But why would anyone
experiment on a living being.
Bt
that blue human being watched one of the boys. He looked so
familiar, somehow.
~~~~
Some of that is really bad...
I'm going to revise the last part I've written. You can say which one you like more. :D
