POV
So I'm working on a story, and having trouble with my POVs. First? Third? Multiple? Single? Does anyone have any advice? What do you use? What I'm thinking now is that I'll do multiple, but with some characters in first and some in third. Also, do you ever write from the POV of your villains? That's another thing I'm thinking I might try. I need help! (SB's advice to me is twan. Is that a verb? I should twan?)

Personally I prefer third person, but sitting very close to one character's internal thoughts rather than third person omniscient. And I like having multiple POVs to change things up a little.
Re: Villains: They're like... salt and pepper. If they don't make any appearances in your story, the story can be bland, but too much and they are overpowering, yeah? You don't have to use their POV, but I'd recommend having them make a few appearances scattered throughout.

Eh... I would say, only write from the POV of your villains if you're doing multiple characters' Points of View.
Also, don't do 1st person multiple. It's very awkward.
Currently I'm doing a story with multiple POVs. But I also like 1st.
Don't be too random about it. Stick to a system. You can't switch between first and third without being confusing.

Ha, I just saw this. I totally forgot about it. Thanks, TNO (umlaut) and Emilie L. That's really helpful. e

First and third are better, and mutiple is great, so you have a wide variety of characters to choose from. I sometimes write from Deathypaw's (that's my pet name for my villain ) POV so you can unedrstand exactly why he's doing these things, even though my book is in 1st person. Twan is not a verb, it's not even a word, but twang is. Maybe your character should use a slingshot :)
