Hi Amalya, welcome to the CB! I am a writer---and I also relate to your situation with your teacher. My teacher told me to write a page, but I wrote seven pages! I write a LOT, as you can see by this post, sorry---but I am sorry to say that I haven't published any books yet. I hope to someday, though! Are you writing a book?

I think you might be thinking about where on the front page, Sluggo (the purple snail) says "Meet Cricket Authors & Artists," implying that that's a thing you can do here on the CB (Chatterbox) since it seems to be an add-on to Ladybug (the ladybug, of course :D) saying that you can "gab like mad in the Chatterbox". You might not have been thinking that, so sorry if that wasn't your thought process because I'm just assuming. Once upon a time, you were in fact able to meet Cricket authors and artists on here, but unfortunately, that was years ago and you can't do that anymore.

However, CB still is pretty cool! We're a community of authors, artists, and otherwise creative people, and we're all kids from around the world who found the same website (well, we're mostly from the U.S. I think, but we have some people from places around the world, which is really cool!) :) We'd love to have you! Although, I always want to encourage Internet safety, so if (emphasis on the "if") you were expecting to find Cricket authors & artists, maybe ask your parents if you can still be on here since you're interacting with a bunch of kids you've never met in-person (or you might've met some of us and don't know it!) instead of adult authors & artists of Cricket magazine :) I will say that this is a very safe site that was designed for kids to use though, because before each comment gets posted for the whole Internet to see, responsible adults look through each post and make sure it's kid-friendly and safe to post.

I'm really sorry you have to read through my long paragraphs---anyways, I'm Celine, she/her pronouns, and I should be cleaning my room right now so bye!

Hey Amalya, welcome to CB! I'm Moon Wolf, she/her. As Celine said, you can no longer talk to the authors/artists of Cricket, but you can still interact with us CBers, a wonderful communtiy of aspiring authors, artists, etc.

I also love writing, and although I haven't published any yet, I might in the future with my NaNoWriMo novel. Who knows? Anyways, hope to read you around!

Hi, and welcome to CB! Here is a link to the ultimate guide:

https://cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/chirpatcricket/node/443573

While you can't talk to Cricket authors and artists here, there are many of young authors and artists like you! Hopefully you decide to stick around, we'd love to have you!

By the way, you may have noticed that Celine mentioned Feiya. You know how you have to enter some random letters in before you make a comment on here? Some CBers name that little text box! You can learn more about that, and more, in the ultimate guide! See you around!
