Chatterbox: Inkwell

Can you tell me what you think of this. I have never written anything like this.

All of my life had been perfect, but that all changed when i turned 14. Before then, my parents never argued, i had an awesome boyfriend, and the best friends i could ask for. But when i turned 14, it all changed. My boyfriend dumped me, my best friend turned out to be a backstabber, and my parents were on the verge of divorce.  My depression deepened. My few friends tried to help, but i was already lost. The depression tightened its hold. i could no longer see anything but darkness. Then, a girl who i had never talked to came into my life. She was annoyingly optimistic, but that was just what i needed. She brightened my every day. She brought me out of the darkness. I see the light.
