Ema's Blog-type thing
Chatterbox: Inkwell
Ema's Blog-type thing
Ema's Blog-type thing!
See, I had this idea that we could make our own personal blog-like things, and record cool things that happened to us, new ideas, vacations, etc. Or act as a NaNoWriMo/TAPM character and write about them. So, I guess here's my entry for today:

Just found out I'm going to Paris in July! I'm wicked excited for it. My grandma's taking me, because she was a French high school teacher and it's an Elderhostel/ Exploritas trip. We're going for nine days. I'll get to see the Eiffel Tower, Musee D'Orsay, get my portrait painted and have dinner with a real French-speaking family! We're leaving from New Jersey (Maybe I'll see Mary Liz! :D) on July 17. Six and a half months is a long time, but it's worth the wait to see this!
Bad news- I've got a bad case of pinkeye. I can't blink and my eye is as bright as this red-ish background. It's really sore and supposedly very contagious, so I'm staying home from school today. At least I don't have to put up with annoying 'C.B' and Math and Social Studies. Those classes are so boring. I mean, Math is okay, but Social Studies is just dull. People say Heath, which I'm taking next semester, is even worse! Boy, I just /can't/ wait for that! :)
Waiting for July to come faster,
~Ema
Hope everyone liked it! I'll try to post any news every day! :)

Interesting idea, should we make our blog-like things on this thread, or start one of our own?
That is really cool that you get to go to Paris!

You could make your own, or start it on here if you don't want the Inkwell to get too crowded... It doesn't really matter to me! :)
I know! My mom told me that my grandmother had an early birthday present for me. And cliche-ily, I started jumping up and down and screaming like they do in movies. :P *names at least three*

Quote of the day from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, which I am currently reading: "My courage and my resolution is firm; but my hopes fluctuate and my spirits are often depressed." ~ Robert Walton, second letter to Mrs. Saville.
The book is very good, and it's kind of funny how formal and stiff the writing is. Well, since it was written in 1818, I guess it figures. Our writing nowadays seems way more loose and carefree, in the style. I had to add 'in the style' because I did NaNoWriMo, and I know now that every word is not loose and carefree in the editing process. :)
Watching Drake and Josh with my little sister right now, and my eye feels a little better. I got drops to put into it, but it's still hot and swollen. That's why I have my glasses off right now. I have to take two drops in my left eye, three times a day.
On Wednesday, I dissected a frog in Science. It was actually pretty cool, although my partner, 'Marie' made me touch everything when the lab directed us to touch something. I won't get into specifics, just in case someone is eating right now. :) But I've got to say this: when we opened up the stomach, the half-digested exoskeleton of a fly fell out. Gross, but cool.

Cheers for France! And I'm sorry about the pinkeye - my little cousin had it when she was here in June. *awwwww* Anywho, go France! Or, rather go to France.
Cheers,

I've been to France twice. It is sooo fun! They have the best food in the world there!I am not joking. We went to England after (Who do NOT have the best food in the world) and the contrast was very evident. Blech. But no offense to people who live in England. Because everyone has different tastes.

Cool idea! i'm happy your goiong to France, I bet it's going to be fun! Two of my friends (They are sisters, and one of them are named... *drum roll* Ema!) went to france or some other country recently. She showed me pictures...

Glad your eye is better. Frankenstein wasn't my favorite book, but when Mary Shelley wrote it, she invented the entire genres of science fiction and horror. That's what makes it cool to me.
And disecting frogs is way awesome. Haven't done that since seventh grade, but I get biology next year, I think. *happy dance* *gets strange looks*

*is also reading Frankenstein right now*
Oooooh, you're gonna be in NJ this July! Keep an eye out for me, k, Ema? I'll probably be wearing my NaNoWriMo sweatshirt... ;)
(January 8, 2010 - 3:54 pm)
I will, don't worry.... ;) I'm trying to convince my parents to buy me a NaNo sweatshirt. I'm not sure if it's working or not...
Ann, that's so cool! I'll have to try all the food. :) But I'm going to have my braces then, so I'm going to have to watch out for sticky desserts... :(
Someone has the same name/nickname as me? That's really weird in a cool way! Of course, they were born after me, probably. Ema leads, all other Ema's follow. :)
Mary, where are you in Frankenstein? I just started it a couple days ago.
Wow! Inventing two genres! That is pretty cool!!! Where did you hear that? So I guess sci fi and horror topics were never in books before she published it. That is really....
Cool seems to be my favorite word this posting. :)
PS- imaa was my anti-spam code. :)

Ema, I do know someone else named Ema. She's twelve too, and was born in the summer, I don't know if you were born in the summer, so I don't really know if your older than her. :D
