Interactive solo write~
There are only the number of four
and if you wish to be one of the four
fill out the form down below
but listen closely and you will know...
A prize to seek out
A treasure of power, without doubt
A race will start
At the three roads' heart
One path going west, and one north
And one south, the other east
All three travelers will go forth
And you'll decide what choice is least
Dangerous, or maybe you want danger
But whichever
You endeavor
Allow me to remind you that when you begin
All paths come back to the start again.
So wisely choose
And you'll win, or you'll loose
The Lifecrown

Yes, Lyric. Your spot is now saved~
(January 26, 2024 - 8:35 pm)
Kindly fill out your form so that this may begin~
(February 14, 2024 - 10:52 am)
Aaah sorry, I keep on forgetting. I'll write it on my to-do list and fill it out tonight! Sorry again!
(February 14, 2024 - 8:42 pm)
Filling this out right now; I do not want to risk forgetting again :/
Name: Lyric
Pronouns: she/her
Appearance: Medium length black hair, purple analog watch, black hairband, brown and pink glasses, skinny, wearing a solid colored T-shirt underneath a jacket, black leggings, a necklace, and a pair of boots.
Personality: Very, very, very, anxious, cautious, smart, studious, nerdy, helpful, quiet (most of the time people can't hear me when I talk), thoughtful, gentle, quick to adapt, easily made happy, unfashionable, and independent.
Do you favor the sea, sky, mountains, or woods?: The sea, even though I cannot swim and rarely go to the beach. I have an obsession with the deep sea. (the other obsession is genetics)
Are you brave?: Depending on what "brave" means, I am or am not. If "brave" means exposing ones self to ones fears, dealing with the terror and nightmares and sleeplessness from that, and breaking out of one's comfort zone very frequently, then yes. If brave means being completely fearless (or appearing to be), putting one's life in danger and not worrying, then no.
What sort of power over things would you want?: Perhaps...power to understand the various signs and warnings of nature, and how to harmonize with it, not control or fear it (yes, perhaps this is inspired by The Alchemist, which I am reading for school). I'm not particularly interested in power and haven't really thought of this question before.
Are you trusting?: Once I know someone for years, I trust them. Sometimes I am vulnerable (or so they say) with others I don't completely trust, but only share all my secrets with the people I have known for years. To the people I am vulnerable to, I trust that they won't laugh at me behind their backs, most of the time.
Do you prefer to have a friend, or work alone?: I work alone, most of the time. I'm almost always by myself.
Name something you are afraid of: Oh dear...just one thing. Spiders. Specifically, spider eyes and legs and *shudders*
exceedingly and very cautious.
Are you cautious?: Yes. Very.
Why do you want The Lifecrown?: I...don't, unless it means that I won't die by the end (will I??). I am very non-competitive, and mostly don't mind if someone else wins.
Other: Thank you! I like the poem you wrote at the beginning btw

)Moon Wolf(
Moon Wolf stood at the beginning of the northern path, feeling a gentle breeze brush her cheeks and play with her hair. She fidgeted, glancing over her shoulder at the three other paths where the other participants stood at the beginning of their own paths. She felt a little nervous, for she did prefer company over traveling alone, but she did want to be the one to get to this Lifecrown first. And so Moon Wolf faced forward again.
She couldn’t see where the path really went, for the dirt road quickly disappeared into a dense looking forest.
Suddenly, a figure appears out of nowhere right in front of Moon Wolf. She starts and peers at the person.
They look quite tall and lean, but that was all she could see, for they were wrapped in a dark cloak, somehow covering every available surface on their body, the hood casting a shadow over their face no matter which way they faced. Moon Wolf felt slightly apprehensive.
“Greetings, Moon Wolf,” they said in a soothing, and yet melodic voice that was softly accented british. “You know me as Narrator. Is there anything you want to ask me before your journey begins?”
Ask any questions on your mind (Please post any questions you have if you choose a!)
Say no, and begin your journey
Ask if you can have a partner to help you
Ask if that is Narrator's way to giving a clue or hint to help with your journey
Ask if you can have a weapon or tool to help you
~WiLdSoNg~
Wildsong stood at the beginning of the path heading toward the west, to the range of mountains. These mountains looked to be all clumped together in a pointed pile, and yet they seem to spread far and wide. Snow was on the peaks of the tallest mountains, bright against the blue sky.
The path itself wound cheerfully over a flowery plane, until it disappeared in the distance at the foot of the mountain. Trees dotted the plane, and a breeze tickled Wildsong’s face.
Suddenly, a figure appeared right in front of Wildsong on the path, the mountains outlined behind them. She sees that they look quite tall and lean, but that was all she could see, for they were wrapped in a dark cloak, somehow covering every available surface on their body, the hood casting a shadow over their face no matter which way they faced.
“Greetings, Wildsong,” they said in a soothing, and yet melodic voice that was softly accented british. “You know me as Narrator. Is there anything you want to ask me before your journey begins?”

=Scuttles=
Scuttles stood at the beginning of the path, the one heading over the fields of waving grass and bright flowers. This trail went south, but Scuttles couldn’t see how far the path went, for just a few feet away the path curved and vanished into the long grass. Looking out, the sky seemed to expand onward, forever, and that’s just how they liked it. Fluffles hissed with excitement, curling around Scuttles forearm. Turning around briefly, Scuttles saw that there were three other people standing at the other trails. As they watched the others, they saw a dark figure appear in front of each of them. They blinked in surprise, then turned to find their own figure in front of them. They look quite tall and lean, but that was all Scuttles could see, for they were wrapped in a dark cloak, somehow covering every available surface on their body, the hood casting a shadow over their face no matter which way they faced.
“Greetings, Scuttles, and Fluffles the snake,” they said in a soothing, and yet melodic voice that was softly accented british. “You know me as Narrator. Is there anything you want to ask me before your journey begins?”

*Lyric*
Lyric stood facing east, the sun bright against her face, blinding her, but yet comforting. A breeze that tickled her face smelled faintly of salt, coming from the sea that this path would lead. She quite liked the sea, even though she couldn’t really swim at all. But still, there was something nice about the sparkling waves, and how the ocean could be calm and then fierce in the matter of minutes.
As Lyric peered down the path, attempting to see the end, a figure appeared right in front of Lyric on the path, the mountains outlined behind them. She sees that they look quite tall and lean, but that was all she could see, for they were wrapped in a dark cloak, somehow covering every available surface on their body, the hood casting a shadow over their face no matter which way they faced.
“Greetings, Lyric,” they said in a soothing, and yet melodic voice that was softly accented british. “You know me as Narrator. Is there anything you want to ask me before your journey begins?”

(February 15, 2024 - 8:56 am)
I wish I could ask all those questions, but if I can only choose one, I ask if I can have a partner.
(February 15, 2024 - 5:39 pm)
(I chose A) Question 1: "Do you have any advice?" Question 2: "Do I have to cross the sea during the journey?" Question 3: "Is there the possibility of dying?" Question 4: "Are you WildWolf?"
(February 15, 2024 - 8:44 pm)
I will ask, "is there anything you can tell me to prepare me for my adventure?"
(March 10, 2024 - 8:04 pm)
Ack so sorry, I hope I'm not too late. I'll ask if I can have a weapon or tool to help me.
(March 12, 2024 - 3:00 pm)
Hello, Scuttles and WiLdSoNg. Since the Chatterbox was unavalible for a few weeks, I will need your answers by March 16th. Thank you both~ Narrator

Thank you, Wildsong.
Scuttles, just reminding you, until the 16th you have to give your choice.

)Moon Wolf(
“May I have a companion to assist me on my travels?” Moon Wolf asked, feeling pleased by her proper sounding question.
Narrator tilted their head, and Moon Wolf got the feeling they were smiling. “Mmm. Interesting.” They were quiet for a moment. “If you pick the direction that’s right, you’ll find a friend won by fight,” they said finally.
Moon Wolf frowned. Direction that was right? And won by fight? Sounded like she’d have to make a choice of some sort, and win a friend? But that almost sounded like slavery…
“Let the games begin,” Narrator said, and before Moon Wolf could react or say anything more, the world tipped sideways.
Moon Wolf stumbled, shaking her head and walking unsteadily in a circle to regain her balance. She rubbed her eyes, feeling slightly dizzy, and glanced up. She froze. Moon Wolf looked around. She was no longer at the start of the path, but instead in the middle of a dense forest. The dirt path was quite narrow, but it looked almost well traveled. No weeds or plants grew in the trail, though plenty did on the sides. Looking up, Moon Wolf saw the trees making a tunnel over her head. She could barely see blue between leaves and branches. She listened, but heard no sounds. Looking to the left, she saw that the path held straight before turning a corner and vanishing into a slightly less dense part of the wood. To the right, she saw the trail almost instantly disappear behind a large, moss covered boulder. That way, the forest seemed to get even darker. What to do?
Go to the left, towards the younger forest
Go to the right, around the boulder and to the older part of the forest
Climb a tree in attempt to see over the forest and get your bearings
Go to the boulder and listen for any signs of a fight, so you can find your supposed friend
*Lyric*
“Yes, actually,” Lyric started, and the Narrator nodded for her to continue. “Do you have any advice? Do I have to cross the sea during the journey? Is there the possibility of dying? And are you WildWolf?”
Narrator took all of this in, then said, “My advice to you is sometimes the worst can be the best, but you still need to consider the rest. For the sea, well, that depends which path you take, which choice you make. You can always die, but here, well, it could be a lie. And this WildWolf business, I am not she.”
Lyric wrinkled her nose and opened her mouth to speak, to say that all she had been handed was mostly riddles, but the Narrator stopped her. “You asked your questions, and now your quest begins.”
The world turned upside down, and Lyric sat down hard, feeling nauseated. She clutched her midsection for a moment, counting her breaths, then looked up.
No longer was she at the beginning of the dirt path, but in the middle of a sandy trail. Short grass grew on the sides of the path, with rolling hills in all directions. To the left, the path went up and over a hill, disappearing over the other side. To the right, the trail meandered for a while, and then turned around a hill and vanished. The wind was still blowing, and it carried the salty smell of the sea and seagull cries. A small self made path wove through the grass in that direction. What to do?
Go to the right
Go to the left
Go on the self made trail
~Wildsong~
“Is there anything you can tell me to prepare me for my adventure?” Wildsong asks.
The Narrator considers this, before saying, “Some things aren’t meant to be controlled, you should leave it instead of letting life become unrolled.”
Wildsong nodded slowly, taking in the words. “And-?”
Narrator shook their head, and before Wildsong could say more, reality blurred. She felt slightly sick to her stomach, but pushed the feeling down and squinted through the nausea.
She was no longer at the trailhead. Instead, she stood in the middle of a narrow rocky dirt path. Walls of rock rose up on either side, and so Wildsong deduced that she was in the mountains. To the left, the path became steep, winding around the corner and out of sight. To the right, the path narrowed even more, but through the crack Wildsong thought she saw green. She looked closer at the rocks around her. They were varying shades of gray, nothing special. The rocks in front of her weren’t as tall as the overhang behind her, but she couldn’t see over them. What to do?
Go left
Go right
Climb the face of rock in front of you and get your bearings
Try to climb the rock behind you, even though it was more dangerous, it would be higher up and you could see more
=Scuttles=
Scuttles thinks for a moment, and then asks, “May I have a weapon or tool of some sort? To help me?”
The Narrator is still for a heartbeat, then says, “Follow the clouds and take to the sky, and a tool will find you if you try.”
Scuttles feels a pang of annoyance, but before they can protest, Fluffles hisses with alarm just as the world spins like a top.
Fluffles slithers to the ground, apparently unaffected, but Scuttles feels slightly dizzy. They blink and then glance around. They turn a full circle, and then decide that they definitely are nowhere near the beginning of the trail. They are in the middle of a field of flowers and tall, waving grass that stretches in all directions. The sky is an impossible blue, and the trail was very narrow. To the left, the trail disappeared in the distance, the sky just as endless. To the right, there are a few suspiciously gray clouds.
“Mmm, I can sense rats,” Fluffles hisses excitedly, pointing with their tail into the chest high grass. “Definitely the best direction, for obvious reasons.”
What to do?
Go left
Go right
Go with Fluffles
(March 12, 2024 - 5:30 pm)
Climb a tree
(March 12, 2024 - 7:34 pm)
Try to climb the big rock behind you.
