Torusadour. A country known for its magnificent architecture, vast variety of botanical gardens, and above all else; the glamour and glimmer of its flamboyant high class.
The year was 1924, and life had never been better for them after the wildly fruitful War of Corabetskie. The era came to be known as the ‘Victory Feast Age’ by President Kesley J. Oriven, and true to its name; the wealthy made sure to eat their fill.
Faster cars, fancier clothes, finer perfumes. Everything had to be the best of the best; education was no exception.
Of course, the public schools of the country were renowned as some of the best in the world. But the private schools? Those were even better.
Especially one boarding school in particular; the Lysander Winslow Academy. Smartest professors, most polished courses, biggest library…
Everyone who was anyone sent their teens there. From celebrities and CEOs to politicians and high-ranking military officials; if their names were recognizable, their kids were enrolled in that academy.
The boarding school was now reopening its doors after previously shutting them on behalf of the War, and applications were being sent in droves. Acceptance letters were getting thrown right back.
To the relief of everyone, things were just as they were before. The war changed nothing.

4. Please stick to the setting! 1920s Torusadour is practically the same as 1920s USA, minus the Prohibition.
5. Foreign exchange students are allowed, but please note that Zdroiskan and Agorusen students would be solely from political or high-ranking military families. Foreign exchange students from Noretsk and Siraden do not apply to this rule, as their governments function differently. No students from Lazagkrus or Vlastyia are allowed.*
6. You may make multiple characters.
*Noretsk and Siraden are allies with Torusadour. Zdroiska and Agorus have a very fragile peace with Torusadour. Lazagkrus and Vlastyia are considered enemies of Torusadour.

Hello everyone! Tenebrous here. I would like to start by apologizing for the abandonment of The Phantoms of the Photographs (https://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/inkwell/node/545088). The summer was far more packed than I anticipated, and it got away from me. Upon revisiting the story, I felt as if the plot I had in mind was flimsy, lazy, and quite frankly; dull.
So, I went back to the drawing board, and cooked up something new!. I'm rather fond of it, and I hope you are too. Thank you for your patience! <3

Name: Andrea Cathaniel

Gender: he/him pronouns
Voice: Tenor, with a slight accent
Physical Appearance: tall and slim, tan skin, short light brown hair, glasses, curious brown eyes, elegant clothes
Personality: quiet, introverted, anxious around others because of his accent, creative, can often be found doodling people in his notebook, shy, lashes out when he feels threatened. He’s also interested in philosophy
Parent('s) Job(s): His mother, Zoe, owns a library and is basically Head Librarian (idk if that made sense) and his father Joseph is a famous chemist who wants Andrea to follow in his footsteps
Background (OPTIONAL): Andrea grew up reading books in his mother’s library and learned to draw by copying characters from his favorite comics. He wants to become an artist or an illustrator when he grows up, but his dad is set on having him become a scientist.
Strengths: art. He’s really good at it and used to have a really friendly art teacher when he was younger.
Weaknesses: Science. He’s really not all that proficient at it, despite his father’s wishes.
Dreams: Andrea wants to become an artist or an illustrator, and if not, a philosopher

Personality: lively, extroverted, outgoing, the class clown, charismatic, competitive. Marianne also likes to read when she has free time.
Parent('s) Job(s): Her two dads are named Thomas and Kai. Kai runs a successful bakery and Thomas is a foreign diplomat
Background (OPTIONAL): Marianne grew up traveling all over the world for Thomas’ job, but they’ve finally decided to settle down in Torusadour and Kai’s bakery is flourishing. She wants to enter politics when she grows up and studies it with Thomas when she can.
Strengths: she’s charismatic and a natural leader and makes people laugh easily
Weaknesses: on the inside, she’s really anxious that her classmates only like her for her jokes and not herself and don’t actually want to be friends with her
Dreams: Marianne wants to become a politician and travel the world

Age: 17
Gender: female, she/it pronouns
Voice: soft, smooth. not very high.
Physical Appearance: tall and lithe, with straight, hip-length dark brown hair and silvery-blue eyes.
Personality: calm, cool, and collected, Zhenya is always quiet, but when she speaks, her words are unstumbling and proud. she is highly intellectual, but she is disdainful of most creative art forms, although she has high respect for architecture. she trusts no one, and rarely speaks to anyone she doesn't know, unless information is required from them.
Parent('s) Job(s): her mother and father were both extremely high-ranking individuals in the military, until her mother died, and her father lost all determination to do... anything, really.
Background (OPTIONAL): Zhenya's past is one of her best-kept secrets, like many other things. all that can be deciphered is that she lost compassion and emotion upon the death of her mother. she hates her father with a fury that sometimes breaks her composure.
Strengths: very intelligent, with a sharp memory and focus. excellent speaker, and very tactical--a trait infused by her parents' military focus.
Weaknesses: unable to trust anyone. she believes all others to be unreliable and volatile. she's overly prideful occasionally, and she has a very short temper. she comes off as completely uncaring for anyone.
Dreams: secretly, Zhenya wishes to be an architect, but since her father and mother both scorned that idea, her main focus is becoming a high-ranking military individual, like them.

Shipping?: although she believes that a romantic relationship would get in the way of her goals, she secretly hopes to someday have a relationship like that--someone to support her in what she does. open to females and males.
