This is my first thread ever! This is an interactive story thread, but if you're lucky enough to get a spot, you will be in the story! I know if someone posts a comment and it hasn't shown up, and then you do and haven't seen the comment, then we will get a lot of different versions of the same story! To get around that, you can do this:
So someone has posted a comment after someone else and didn't see the other persons comment. This person who posted afterward is called A. The other person is B. You are C. Let's say you want to make a continuation of person A's story. You should make your name C @A, so other people can see that you have posted before the comment shows up. Maybe lots of comments will be posted without seeing the other persons comments, but then maybe this is like you can choose the own version of the story you like better! You are encouraged to write your favorite version down, or document it or record it in any way! Ok, so the plot is that you are a theif apart of a group called the Great Theives of the World. You are in competition with another group called the Great Pickpockets of the World. Try and steal as much as you can!! But if you don't like theivery, be a victim! Anyway, here are the charrie sheets:

Background (optional): Her mother died when Lyvia was born, and her father left when she was 5. Since then, she has lived off the streets and used any means, including thievery, to survive and have a decent life for herself.

Stengths/Weaknesses: Really good at drawing and can memorize anything in record time/awful at lying and being perverse

Experience in theivery: been stealing and picking locks since a young child, and has good socilizing skills which do come in handy with picking pockets and purses.
Background (optional): lived in an orphanage for a small part of her life and finally left on the back of a pick-up truck headed FAR west. Found an alley in an urban city and is currently living in a wooden shack in the shifty downtown of that city.

Why are we competing with the Pickpockets and because I pickpocket sometimes, does that mean I am with them?! How do we steal? Do we just write it out in the story or just say "I have taken (e.g.) Nick White's wallet" or what? Thanks for making this thread... I'm kinda mischievous so ;) *cackles to self* I think I'll like it here!

Stengths/Weaknesses: can mimic, good at disguises, quick and a fast thinker/can't back down from a challenge and won't retreat, even when given the order to, very cocky
Code name (not your current name, something totally random!): Orchid (orchids are actually very deceptive in terms of pollination, they kinda "steal" the pollination, and plus, orchid mantises!!) or Lollipop/Lolli, I can't decide!
Experience in theivery: has been thieving almost her whole life
Background (optional): when she was a baby, she grabbed a lollipop from her twin brother, and never looked back. She finds great joy and pleasure in stealing, unlike others of her kind, and though she comes from a very wealthy family, she always loves the thrill and exhilaration of stealing something new from someone else, so much so that in due time, she left her family for a life of crime.

Appearence: a stocky old man who was once a wrestler, Barry has wide shoulders and big hands. Carrying a big purse on one arm.
Easy target?: not really, unless see below, in which case... EASY!!
Gets distracted by: squirrels. He really loves squirrels, he can watch a squirrel for hours and lose track of the world around him. Even stuffed animal squirrels will do the trick, just the sight of a squirrel works.
What is in your pockets/purse/bag?: keys, wallet (some cash, credit card, coupon to yogurtland, IDs and stuff), a jolly ranchers blue raspberry wrapper, an umbrella, a bar of expired chocolate that is slowly melting, a good paperback, and sunglasses

It's night, and my prime time for thieving. The moon is peeking out from behind a cloud, just enough to give me all the light I need. I'm on the rooftop, tracking my target. A slight man carrying a purse is moving through the streets alone. Perfect. I leap to a building directly above him, enjoying the rush of the cool air again my cheek, the exhilaration of being a theif. I smile in the dark. I choose well and right, I did. Who needs family if you could have THIS? The man drops something, bends down to pick it up, giving me the perfect window of opportunity to scale down the building and lean down towards his purse, hanging precariously off one arm. Ha! This is almost TOO easy. Suddenly, a noise like a firework going off startled the man, who straightened up and briskly walks away, me withdrawing just in time. ARGH. I was SO close! How would the Great Thieves of the World beat the Great PickPockets if they keep setting off cannons every time we come close to making a catch??

The oh-so-familiar gray sidewalks of the city are the prime places for...thievery, shall I say. Some of the Great Thieves of the World, or the GTW, as I like to call them, only steal in the night, or only in the day. But I choose to do both. It is so much more efficient, especially when I'm competing against the GPW, or the Great Pickpockets of the World.
And not a person suspects anything yet. My civilian sheet is clean. And no one knows my true identity. All they know is Shadow. Even my thief comrades only know my code name. And my name would be kept a secret until the end...or so I thought.
During the daytime, the best thing to do is to blend in the crowd. I tie my long, wavy raven-black hair into a ponytail, put on a pair of fashion glasses, and clad myself in what a typical 13-year-old would wear. I know, because I keep up with the magazines on clothing. It sounds absolutely ridiculous and silly, and my thieving comrades tease me all the time about it, but it works to blend in. No one has a second thought.
As I walk down the crowded sidewalks of the city, I spot a willowy young woman, who looks about 15, walking beside me, a phone in her hand. It looks like she's calling, so that means she's distracted. I edge closer to her, close enough to reach into her purse and snatch whatever I can grab first. I immediately take whatever it is and stuff it in one of my jean pockets. And the woman doesn't seem to notice a thing, glancing at the pigeons up ahead. Until her gaze lands on me. Her eyes are a bright blue, and it seems that within them, she knows and sees everything around her. But...she does nothing, and glances back to the pigeons. Maybe I was imagining it.
Soon, night fell, the glowing moon rising above in the night sky. It's time for night thievery now.
