I'm launching a solo write (my first one!) bc lately I've been having this urge to write but I can't find motivation to finish stories I start, so hopefully this will help keep me on track. Also, this is a fun idea, and I'm excited to share work with you guys, so hope people join! Please try to join by Aug 5, but once I get at least 5 charries (limit of 2 per person, AEs, OCs, and CBers invited.) I'll probably start, though I'm also going to be going on vacation soon so it might be a while. You can join at any time, but if you join later, you won't have as big a role probably.

Setup: The Wizarding School for Creatures of All Types, the acclaimed boarding school in the Kingdom of Myrth, is giving out scholarships for all users of magic to attend for one summer of education. Lots of young mages enter, but only a select few are chosen, and not only because of their magical skills. The lucky few pack their bags and set out for the school, which is located in the center of the kingdom. Little do they know that this summer will not only be filled with magic and learning, but also betrayal, danger, and adventure. No one is who they say they are, and trust should not be given out freely. What are the WSCAT's real motives for the contest? And is there such a thing as good/bad?

@everyone, again, thank you for signing up! Sorry but... umm... remember how I said I'm making this up as I go along? Well, I would appreciate it if you guys could fill out one more (at least I'm pretty sure this is the last one?) question? Ok, umm... in terms of shipping... I have no boys I can ship with I think 5 other people, and no girls who are open to anyone (unless I do someone, but she prefers boys...) so... I would pls appreciate if I could get more male characters open to girls and at least 1 open to boys and a female character who is open to demigirls. I will make some charries of my own if needed, but if it is possible I would love to have more of the above charries. Thank you everyone again, sorry for the surprise question (@Hawkstar, yep! Power (only one): I just made this up so... how do I describe this? Adjusting, I guess? Like, if there's a hole, or an article of clothing, or a house, can change the size and depth and length and everything to have it fit everyone? Like some kind of reality distortion or... yeah, adjusting reality! But only ADJUSTING, not changing completely.

Magic experience: very experienced

Personality: reserved and sensible, very strict and doesn't put up with any sort of nonsense, very simple (like: this is this and that's all it is) and fixed

Appearance: round face with flowing chestnut hair tied up in a neat braid, unsmiling face, a beauty, fathomless, clear green eyes

Favorite motive/saying (optional but appreciated): I will not tolerate this nonsense in my classroom! Go to the headmistress's office! Immediately!

Luggage: a globe/map (teaches geography)

Opinion on books?: fantastic books are unrealistic and therefore have no benefits of reading them. She sticks strictly to nonfiction and academic reading.

Opinion on royalty?: Is royalty overrated? Pish posh. Royalty is very much needed and the world would be in ruins without them. Everyone should be respectful of them, because even if you don't agree with their decisions, you will find that they are the right ones.

Student/Teacher: teacher

Strengths/Weaknesses: confident in the right thing, follows through and tried hard in what she commits to/not openminded and almost in a way can't think for herself, believes in what authorities tell her and don't question it

Shipping: she doesn't stand for such romantic nonsense

Background (optional): raised by a very sensible family who told her to work hard and get into WSCAT, and later work there. She hasn't changed much from her student years. Her colleagues (secretly) think of her poorly, but she really is very good at what she does, so they respect her.

Other: insists on her students calling her Zia (surprising!), because she thinks Ms. Carnelian or Mrs. Carnelian makes her sound old

Nickname?: Jam (he loves to eat it, and he loves to make it, and he loves you do it, and it's part of his name)

Power (only one): identification. He can identify any plant, animal, or person, so long as he has heard at least one account of them. He also knows information. This is especially useful for when making jam from berries, or when out in the wild.

Magic experience: his magic comes naturally, so really all he has to do is be able to tell which instinct can identify, and trust it. He's fairly advanced. But there may be parts to his power that he doesn't even know about yet...

Personality: hates to make trouble or drama of any kind, is forever resolving conflicts and calming people down, is a master of his own emotions, caring and empathetic

Appearance: on the shorter side, hawkish nose and warm eyes, a bit on the chubbier side

Favorite motive/saying (optional but appreciated): Anyone want some jam?

Opinion on books: why spend time reading when you could be outside playing and making jam?

On royalty: umm.. I prefer not to concern myself with all the conflicts that royalty has.

Fave food: I thought we established this already... jam of course! But a specific kind? Hmm.. that's hard. I've got to go with good ol' strawberry.

Background: just a normal family. They run a jam business, and all the work fails to Jam bc his 3 other siblings are tired of the food.

Celeste Starcreek was vigorously eating her bowl of ice cream. It was Cherry Garcia, and the perfect thing to eat in this weather. Summer, thought Celeste. It’s good and all, but does it have to be THIS. HOT? “It’s much too hot to do ANYTHING,” Celeste sighed as her sister came out the door. 

“That’s what you always say! And yet, even though you whine and whine, you don’t do a thing about it! What good are weather-controlling powers if you can’t adjust the temperature to the one you want?” Her sister rolled her eyes, gave Celeste a bowl of fresh ice cream, and went back inside. Celeste looked down. The ice cream she had been holding had already melted into soup. Why DIDN’T she use her powers, anyway? It was a good point. She had enough experience, she could do it. Just turn the thermostat of the world a TEENSY bit lower with one flick of her hand. And yet… it just didn’t feel right to do it. Like it was messing with the natural order of things. Celeste lowered her hand, she hadn’t even realized she was raising it. Dug into her new bowl. Sighed again. Maybe, if she got into that magic school she had applied to… she would be more accepting of her powers. More willing to use them. Because why shouldn’t she? They were, after all, HERS, right? “Celeste!” She heard her sister call from inside the house. “Come, QUICKLY!” Despite the obvious excitement in her sibling’s tone, Celeste trudged into the house, taking her time.
“What is it?” She asked. 
“It’s- it’s a letter! You know, from that fancy school you applied to? It says-“ Heat forgotten, Celeste rushed across the kitchen to her sister. 
“What? What does it say??” 
“I was just about to tell you that, before you inter-“ 
“TELL ME!!” Her sister smiled, deciding not to keep the younger in suspense, although it WOULD be fun. 
“It says you got in,” she said simply.
It was the big day. The luggage was packed and waiting by the door, the acceptance form had been submitted, and the alarm clock was ringing. Wait. The alarm clock was ringing? “Celeste! Wake up! You’re going to be late!” Late? Celeste shook the last bits of slumber and the vague sense that she was an intrepid explorer space monkey (dreams had always messed with her, befuddling her sense of reality) from her head. She couldn’t afford to be late! Quick as a rabbit, she got dressed, did her business, brushed, and ran downstairs, pausing only to grab her bags. “Have a nice day!” Called her sister, in the kitchen making breakfast for herself.
“I’ll be sure to!” The door slammed.
The letter had said to be at the WSCAT by 7:00 sharp to learn your schedules, your teachers, your rooms (and roommates!) and what was to be expected during the summer-long stay. Celeste had barely made it. The WSCAT courtyard was already packed with milling creatures-of-all-types, all here for the summer program. Large signs were posted all around, listing classes, times, dorms, and rules (be kind, be honest, be respectful, learn and have fun, said one sign). Celeste quickly located her dorm, and her roommate. Hmm… Rihanna Arnolds. Whoever they are, I hope they’re nice! She thought. Shouldering her pack, she walked towards the dorms, tugging on the necklace she always wore. She was grateful it was a cold day.

@everyone again, sorry, but I would really love if more people could submit male characters available to girls and at least one available to boys, and a female character available to demigirls, to help with shipping? Also, more teachers would be nice too, and although it is definitely not mandatory as I didn't put this question in the form, it would be cool if you could tell me what your charries' favorite foods are? Thank you! I'm moving the limit to three charries per CBer, bc of the shipping and teachers problem. Thank you again! I'm open to any feedback!

Personality: outgoing and easygoing. Gets excited easily but the rush fades quickly. Lively and talkative (oh so talkative), very opinionated and can get caught up in the sound of his own voice (but not vain, loves to compliment others).

Appearance: tall, spiky brown hair, glasses

Favorite motive/saying (optional but appreciated): You remember that time when.... or That reminds me of the time when I...

Luggage: portable piano/keyboard, bullhorn, sketchpad for scribbling colors onto paper which helps him manage his feelings, especially when he gets so excited, also helps when he can't stand still

Magic Experience: experienced, though tries not to use it too much as it can be upsetting 

Personality: a bit paranoid and accusatory, ultimately kind and caring, will do anything for those she loves, is rly good at keeping secrets, tries to stay away from people in general

Appearance: Bright intent green eyes, golden hair falling down to waist, biggish nose, taller than average

Favorite motive/saying: Don't do it. You know you don't want to.

Luggage: books upon books upon books, necessities, diary (bc so filled with everyone else's secrets, needs somewhere else for her own)

Opinion on books?: great to use as a shield (and you get some entertainment too!)
