Floating City RP (Because Inkwell is feeling rather silent currently)
The city of Jenseng isn't the type of tourist attraction that appears on local maps. That's because its floating in the air, just above the clouds.
Perhaps you're visiting for fun, a curious tourist only just stepping off one of those flying ferries at the ports. Perhaps you've been transported here by chance, and you're trying to get back to your dimension. Perhaps you have some unfinished matters you're here to take care of. Or perhaps you just live here as a citizen. Anyhow, there's no shortage of colorful characters here, and they all pass through The Lavender cafe at some point, so why not pay a visit?
In case you haven't gotten the hint yet, this is a RP about Jenseng, a floating city. It was born out of a combined worldbuilding effort with a friend, and I thought that I might make a RP out of it because the concept seemed intresting. For the sake of simplicity, you can think of the city as Venice, but turn the rivers of water into enchanted rivers of misty clouds and swap the riverbanks for green bamboo walkways. The weather is always sunny (unless you vote otherwise in the weekly weather voting), and there are rope bridges connecting each block of the city to each other. And of course, the main method of transport is flying boats.

I also did eventually get around to writing a story with a cafe in Jenseng as the setting, where I tried to explore some uncommon topics (anti-war, trauma recovery, discrimination), so that's the place I'll be starting this: a small, homely cafe to the north of the city called The Lavender cafe, run by Pharma Elen and his adopted son Lantus Hartwish. I'll be posting their forms later, when this thread comes up, and the RP will start as soon as around three to four people have joined. Or perhaps five. It depends.
(Question: How does one get enough oxygen up there? Answer: Magic.)

Weeeeellll, I belive that two or three charries would be quite enough for one person, so let's try to keep it at that number. I shall be entering two oc's, but i'm planning to control them from one single perspective.

Name: Pharma Elen, but prefers to go by Elen. He's had enough of being Pharma.
Pronouns: He/Him
Age: 36~40, because I haven't decided yet. Old enough to run a cafe and adopt a kid anyways.
Appearance (Does not have to be human): Just... mostly human. Average height, blue eyes, long blond hair bound in a ponytail. Has a long, fluffy cat tail the color of clean sand. Wears a grayish-white shirt and faded jeans.(His original appearance wasn't human, but again, for simplicity's sake...)
Personality: Mostly introverted, but friendly to friends and frequent customers. Easygoing. Tries to be helpful to everyone, and he has a soft spot for Lantus.
Magical powers(optional, but suggested): Telekenesis. (The ability to move things by thinking about it. And yes, he can use it to 'fly' in the air.)
Strengths&Weaknesses: Runs a cafe completely by himself. I'm trying to say he's independent but it also means that he's mastered telekenesis, especially when it comes to multitasking. His weakness is Lantus, and his own past.
Reason for being here: He lives here, obviously, on the second floor of the Lavender Cafe.
Other(did I miss anything?): Yes, I did. He was obliged to join the army when he was young and became dragged into a intense period of warfare. He quit as soon as he could and relocated to Jenseng, but he still has terrible nightmares from the battlefield which he won't ever admit to having.
Name: Lantus Hartwish
Pronouns: He/Him
Age: 15~17. Again, I can't decide.
Appearance (Does not have to be human): Gray hair and brown eyes, wears a constant nervous expression apart from when he feels 100% safe and comforted. Wears whatever he finds in his wardrobe, but for RP purposes he'll be wearing a black shirt and colorless long pants. He has gray cat ears.
Personality: Nervous, jumpy and cautious. He's a overall nice person, but his trauma follows him like a shadow, hindering his social abilities, and he's prone to panic attacks and sensory overloads. Just tries to stick with Elen or stay at home. Dislikes magic in general but approves of it in Elen's specific case.
Magical powers(optional, but suggested): Nada. (Muggles, anyone?)
Strengths&Weaknesses: If you could say that a burning passion to survive is a strength, then yes, he has a strength. He's terribly traumatized, which shows as a general fear to everything new he comes in contact with, but he's been recovering slowly, and he can now sit at the cafe counter at opening time to greet people without panicking.
Reason for being here: He was adopted by Elen through a program that focused its efforts on reeling orphans away from front lines in war zones. He now lives with Elen on the second floor of the Lavender Cafe.
Other(did I miss anything?): Yes, yes I did again. Lantus was an orphan that somehow ended up in his country's desparate army (despite obviously being way underage, but desperate times desperate measures) as a soldier. He was fished out of his militia by aforesaid program and adopted by Elen, who became his legal guardian. Lantus also has nightmares from warzones.

Ah, yes, I forgot to add Elen and Lantus's shipping specifics. Neither of them are open, but Elen will be (quite frankly) amused to engage curious customers in casual conversation for a appropriate amount of time, provided that the topic does not become too private or touchy. Lantus will, in all possibility, just shut down on the spot if one attempts to flirt with him so try not to do that unless you're very, very curious how everything will play out. To be fair, I am too.

Name: Violet Shimmercress
Pronouns: she/her
Age: 17
Appearance (Does not have to be human): Shoulder-length dark purple hair, bright sky-blue eyes, wearing a lavender-colored shirt and dark purple skirt
Personality: Super energetic, extroverted, optimistic, mostly innocent, loves to go on adventures
Magical powers: Can make flowers appear, but usually, she only does them in shades of purple
Strengths & Weaknesses: Anyone around her usually feels cheerful as well, except for Celeste during their time in Jenseng, and is full of bright ideas and usually not afraid to try something new. However, she is kind of oblivious to how people feel about her ideas and opinions, and is usually a bit ignorant to people's reactions
Reason for being here: She loves to travel to different places, and so she decided to come here as a tourist, hoping to learn or experience something new
Other: Even though she's happy and cheerful on the outside, she's pretty sad inside because of the loss of her parents during an accident, though she never shows it on the outside. She's currently living with her aunt
Name: Celeste Starcreek
Pronouns: she/her
Age: 18
Appearance: Long, dark hair, ice blue eyes, wearing a gray jacket, light blue shirt, black pants, silver-gray wolf ears and tail
Personality: Usually introverted and quiet, friendly when you get to know her, likes quiet company, and has a thoughtful energy, but really loves the snow and is quite grumpy about being dragged by Violet to Jenseng because it is usually sunny
Magical powers: Has the power to make the temperature colder, and if she concentrates enough, create snow, but it's usually pretty exhausting when she does
Strengths & Weaknesses: Very agile and quick, relatively strong compared to others, and can easily stand cold weather. However, she dislikes hot weather and is usually very grumpy if there is, and is also a bit reluctant to step out of her comfort zone
Reason for being here: Violet begged her to travel to Jenseng with her, and eventually Celeste couldn't stand it anymore and gave in

Hello there! I'm not sure if you're still accepting forms, but if you are, here's a couple of mine. I would mention, not to be rude, that one thing you missed was if you were interested in shipping--because I think that's a helpful tool in case your charrie doesn't like that. Anyway, on to my forms!
Name: Ren Ingles
Pronouns: he/him
Age: 16
Appearance (Does not have to be human): Tall, with long-ish blue hair often in a bun/stubby ponytail--dark green eyes, warm brown skin, earthy clothing
Personality: introverted, kind, loves books more than people
Magical powers(optional, but suggested): he's an Aligist, someone who can understand any language and is able to speak it as well. A helpful strength in Jenseng, as many tourists come from other lands.
Strengths&Weaknesses: He often freezes up when the topic of romance comes up, likely because he has been secretly in love with his best friend for years and has never told a soul. But his magic keeps him feeling like he actually has a place somewhere, like he can be strong in a different way than most would define it.
Reason for being here: His father owns a butcher shop and his mother is a highly-sought after seamstress--he has lived in Jenseng his whole life.
Other(did I miss anything?): So on the topic of shipping, I'm wondering if anyone would want to be his best friend--the one he's in love with--and then I kind of want someone new to enter the scene and sorta distract him? Idk.
