Local legends say that the town of Yonder can only be reached by taking a wrong turn somewhere in the forests of Maine, down a gravel road bordered by ancient trees and white mushrooms.  There's certianly something strange about the isolated small town surrounded by woods and water.

What could possibly go wrong?

Name (first and last): Margret "Maggie" Zhao
Pronouns: They/she
Age: 13
Appearance: Slightly shorter than average, black eyes, mid-length lilac hair that she very clearly cut and dyed herself, a mole on her forehead. Loves painting their nails- usually a neon green or pastel. Always wearing her red knee-high converse.
Personality: Omniverted, skittish, excitable. If you gave her a choise, she would rather go outside than stay in. Loves traveling and wants to be a pilot when she's older. Loving/caring, often putting others before themself. A mild procrationator. Horrible at lying.
Likes: Animals, astronamy, making friends, learning new things, being outside, summer, pastels, ball gowns
Dislikes: The dark, dogs dying in movies, peaches, not knowing things, losing people, being considered "weak" (which happens often)
Spirit animal: Rabbit
Backstory (optional): They, their mother, father, and younger brother (named Jamie) were traveling to a nearby town for vacation but found their way to Yonder instead. Maggie is estatic about this, because she wasn't that excited about seeing "Aunt and Uncle So-and-So" again

Pronouns: he/him

Age: 16

Appearance: short, dirty blond hair, freckled face, brown eyes, small for his age.

Personality: Liam is clever and smart, especially when it comes to science. He suffers from anxiety and will have moments where he's perfectly fine, then suddenly having a panic attack. He also doesn't do well with caffeine and has green tea instead of coffee. He's funny and likes to be around his friends, but has trouble making them. His head is usually in the clouds.

Likes: Spider-Man comics, which he has a huge collection of, his old, beat-up brown backpack that is filled with gadgets, pretzels, the sudoku in a newspaper, solving crossword puzzles on his phone, making dad jokes, Thai food, popcorn, and green tea

Dislikes: Superman, cupcakes, the color orange, wearing tuxedos, mismatched socks, soda, cats, knock off Wordle games, bananas, and long, complicated stories

Appearance: Asian, looks like she's lost in thought permanently, has pierced ears and usually wears lime green studs, medium-sized feet

Personality: Usually has her nose in a book, is incredibly talented with the viola, kind but grumpy if woken up too early, imaginative and possibly a bit paranoid

Likes: Nature, books (especially novels), slime ASMR, microbiology and mycology, classical music

Dislikes: Being woken up too early, people who don't believe in climate change, hard rock music, bullies

Backstory (optional): She grew up as the eldest of five, two boys, two girls. She was always the one who comforted and led them. Till she was eleven, they all lived with their parents, but then they died in a plane crash. Susan was the one who kept people together and helped arranged where they would go and such. They live with an aunt and uncle now, who are nice, but, of course, not the same as their parents.

Age: 11, but acts either like a 9-year-old or an ancient dragon goddess

Appearance: light skin, raven-black shoulder length hair, hazel green eyes, wears black and gray t-shirt and shorts, has a star-shaped scar on right cheek
