So I had an idea.
A series of mostly unconnected stories all set in the same town. I was thinking that I'd like to collect stories written by other people too.
Once I've decided the worldbuilding stuff, I'll post that along with some writing prompts you can choose from. If you'd like to do one, comment! I'll post requirements in the comments soon.

Short ones (I posted the word limit) because I'm not trying to write a book or anything, I just thought it would be fun to write about a mysterious city. I mean, if you want to write your own continous story about Karanoia Heights, that's fine, I just will not be including it with my collection.

This is an awesome idea! I'll definately submit a story, although it will probably take a while. Do you have any preferance between first or third person (I'm fine writing either)?

The only things I care about are the requirements already posted. Feel free to write in third, first, second, whatever. Also any style is fine, even poems.

I might join this, but I want to know where you are posting the things we write. Is this simply something you'll be posting on the CB when it's completed, or is it something you're posting on another website, at school?

I will not be posting the collection online or using it for school, although I will show some of my friends/relatives and you are welcome to do the same with mine.
And, of course, it will go on the Chatterbox. :)

These prompts are so cool! I'm not sure if I'll get to writing a story, (I'm so busy right now, sorry), but I'll definitely be looking to see what other people come up with!

You said we could use our own prompts, right Gallium? I thought I would make my own, If, of course, that is ok. If any of these intrest someone, feel free to use it!
_A library of Book safes. There is one for each person in the world, and it holds one item that they will need most in their life. However, the library is not catgorized by letter or date of birth, they are simply shoved on the shelves. (book safes by the way, looks like a book on the out side, but has a space for storing things on the inside.
_ A band of mute travelers the light up the skys with an star show each year, traveling to diffrent towns each year. (the stars/magic they use, kind of looks like a patrounus)
_Trees with leaves that change the color of any living being they touch, for only an hour
_Random bricks that fall from the sky, except there made of foam, and have a pice of paper tapped on to each one with jumbled letters on it.
_Tapestrys (or paintings) that come alive at 1:oo pm each day.
A flock of crows ( or ravens) that fly to the next place something big will happen (notice: Tecniclly, I had made thiss one just for Gallium, to make when she wanted to stop the story. Since she made this thread, and would be the best choice for her to do it.) (sorry if I miss gendered you, I didn't get to read your pronouns before this)

If you don't want to write a normal story, here are some other options.
-Poem
-Artwork (painting, drawing, etc.)
-Brochure or pamphlet type thing
