Tag Game!
Tag Game!
Has anyone heard of a tag game? It's when someone starts a story and then tags someone else to continue the story. It's really fun! Also, please note that we don't start a new story every time a person gets tagged.
Can you please sign up, too? It will help so we can get people in the tag game. I'll write everyone down in the order they sign up in. No personal information is required except your name on Chatterbox.
Here are the rules:
#1. If you go by two or more names on Chatterbox, please pick one so that we don't have one person having double turns or more.
#2. If you sign up, please make sure that you participate.
#3. No negative comments are allowed, but I'm pretty sure the admins will take care of that. :)
#4. When you tag someone, make sure that you are not tagging the same person over and over unfairly.
Feel free to comment on people's work, and you can join whenever you want! :)
Have fun!

Well, as the one who started off the whole romance in the first place, I was definitely trying to get Ardie and Crieff together; I'd never even thought of making it a lesbian story.
It's interesting to see how each of us has such different ideas, and yet at the same time there are things that keep recurring, like romance, and having the characters find themselves in dungeons. I think poor Ardie has spent about half her time in this story in a dungeon...

I think that what Peri wrote would make an interesting plot twist, and maybe lead to a very tense climax and be good for the plot, but I feel that for most of the Tag Game we were developing the romance between Ardie and Crieff. The change was a little sudden. At that point one of the biggest plots in the story was about Ardie and Crieff, and even though there were some parts in the story about Akhalia missing Ardie, to change the focus of the romance would be a major change in the plot. And the twist would also shift the attention from Crieff, who seemed like he was originally the main character of the story, to Ardie and Akhalia, which would be another major change.
Oh and I realized that I forgot to mention: I haven’t written any romance for years ever since it made me feel really embarrassed after having to read it aloud, so please don’t tag me for any romantic parts.

i knew we were developing Crieff's interest in Ardie, but based on what others were writing I thought it was going to be a plot point that Ardie could not love Crieff back, and there were several pieces of writing from both women's perspectives almost explicitly stating they loved one another.

Oh I didn't catch that, I see now. Thanks for explaining!

Have to say I agree with Lyric's earlier post... I mean, it was pretty clear that Ardie and Akhalia were really close, but more like sisters, and definitely Ardie and Crieff were kinda headed for a romance. Like where Amethyst wrote on p. 13: "Ardie suddenly saw clearly that she did love Crieff as he loved her, and could never be happy if she didn't have him." Just pointing it out :)

see, i thought Amythest's post was the really sudden change. the few posts before that were really developing the romance between the women, at least i thought, the post directly before that in fact featured Akhalia imagining asking Addie to marry her, but in Amythest's post, it was reiterated but rephrased to eliminate all of the romantic subtext and completely change the meaning, and then married Akhalia off to some random dude to get her out of the way.

I personally agree with Tsuki (I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who saw that- I thought I was wrong because everyone seems so mad now and they're all leaving), but I wasn't trying to throw Amythest's part away or anything! She's a really good writer, even if I did find the change sudden, and I kept Xavier because I didn't want to completely scrap everything she added in.

*shrieks in dismay* Don't worry, I'm not mad! I was kind of worried that maybe it would look like I was mad if I left, but honestly I'm not. That's the whole part of the Tag Game - everyone puts their own spin on the characters and the plot, and it comes out so interestingly!

I'm sorry to say this, but I think I'm going to stop participating in this. It was a lot of fun - the idea is really nice, and it's interesting to see the plot developing with many different people writing it, but at the moment I'm writing a lot of other things, and am probably leaving. I might rejoin at some other time...

Hmm, looks like it's been a week, so I guess I'll tag someone else - @Poinsettia
(March 13, 2023 - 5:35 pm)
Sorry! I was really really busy last week and I didn't see this.
and yayyyy I was trying to drop hits about Akhalia and Ardie, so I'm happy you noticed :)
Poinsettia, just a reminder

Thanks for tagging me! But I'm afraid I've got a ton of other CB commitments right now, so I think I'm going to drop out. I might rejoin later, but for right now... adieu, adieu to this thread :/
