Myrkuut flattened his
Myrkuut flattened his body against the craggy damp wall.
He couldn't see a thing, but he could've sworn he heard something slithering in the dark not far from him. Cold sweat scuttled down his back, but he firmly held absolutely still for fear of alerting whatever it was out there.
Suddenly, a deep, breathy rustle came from his left and he stiffened slightly, holding his breath. It slowly thrashed its way past, disappearing to his right. Myrkuut's muscles loosened, and he let that coiled-up breath finally escape, but he didn't let his guard down. He couldn't afford to.
He needed to move forward, after all.
Letting his fingers crawl sideways against the rough, slimy rocks slightly behind him, he slowly edged his way on; ever closer to some desperate, unseen goal.

Don't forget, you can adjust you sheet as the story continues and we all have a better understanding of this World at large. It's also alright if you create several more characters later on, but let's stick to 1-3 for the beginning part.
I plan on being the main writer/Dungeon Master, but I'll still create a few characters and encourage you to write little segments/chapters or even side/backstories, if you're comfortable with it! Thank you!

Fingers met cold metal, and stayed with excitement. Was this what he'd been looking for?! Before Myrkuut could celebrate or investigate further, a sharp scraping erupted above eye-level at his 2 o'clock. He froze.
All at once, Myrkuut's vision turned to stabbing white, body was bathed in a beam of light.
Expect to have a set of new charries introduced in the next segment!

Name: Cien
Pronouns: he/they (comfortable with both- his species doesn't have set concepts of gender)
Appearance: Slightly shorter than the average human, wavy shoulder length auburn hair, olive skin, dark aquamarine eyes, freckles, small pointed ears, iridescent dragonfly-like wings.
Personality: Shy, observant, free-spirited, clever, friendly but mistrustful, sometimes childish and sometimes wise. He is usually kind and optimistic but has a rarely-seen cold, ruthless side.
Skills/strengths: In tune to nature and other people, good at problem-solving, agile and acrobatic
Weaknesses/limitations: Impulsive, overconfident, slow to trust
Gear: Wears light, simple clothes, basic adventuring supplies
Magic/type: Nature-related magic such as making plants grow, controlling water, healing, etc. The power of this magic depends on his physical state (for example, if he was sick his magic would be very weak)
Species type: Seelie, magical beings that are basically fairies. Seelie are humanoid with insectlike wings and an extended lifespan. They can live for up to 300 years and retain a youthful appearance for their whole lives. Seelie have a powerful connection with nature that gives them magical abilities.
Habitat: Unknown
Languages: Perian (the Seelie language, also known as the "language of magic"), Allspeak
Defining traits: Ornate swirling tattoos around his wrists, otherwise nothing out of the ordinary for his species

(I don't see a reason to leave people out, even if they join after the date passes, so they'll likely just be a little more like side-characters or rivals or a new generation(if something... 'unfortunate' happens to the main cast)/etc.)

Okay! I'm going to make a basic sheet and then expand more later, because my family is visiting to Hawaii to see my grandma (!!!!) and we'll be on a plane/in a car for a long time. I don't think I'll be able to get the expanded sheet posted by the seventh, so I'll just update later if that's okay. Don't write me in too much; my characters may change drastically. Thank you and sorry about the timing!
(I still have until tomorrow, and so am making it necessary to have a basic sheet by some time tomorrow.)

The timing shouldn't be a problem if we write around it (like, I plan to mention your character as a legendary mercenary/something like that if it fits, but we won't actually need a physical description/solid characterization until you're back, hopefully).

Name: Gloria
Nickname: Some people call her Glory
Pronouns: She/her (female)
Appearance: Golden eyes, curly red hair
Personality: Impulsive, natural leader
Skills/strengths: Heat-tolerant, flame-resistant
Weaknesses/limitations: Her blood can literally freeze up in the cold because it becomes solid gold. After a prolonged time in the cold, her whole self would probably turn into solid gold, but luckily that's never happened yet!
Gear: She has this locked trunk, like a heavy suitcase. It can only be opened by one key that she has on a necklace. If someone would like to open the trunk in the story sometime, I might reveal what's in it. (Maybe there's nothing in it at all. But then again, maybe there is.)
Magic/type: Has to do with fire and gold, still working on it.
Species Type: She is a human, but instead of normal blood she has fiery molten gold blood. There is a backstory I'm working on, but it might be a while.
Habitat: She prefers hot climates. She comes from a desert, but left it, for reasons no one knows.
Languages: She has a gift of tongues and can speak almost any language fluently, but she usually sticks with the international one.
Defining Traits: Interestingly enough, she has some burns on her arms. Since she is fire-resistant, it's a mystery how she got them . . . She really stands out from a crowd, since she doesn't look like a normal human, but isn't an animal or alien creature either.
Other: Just an interesting fact, she takes baths in fire instead of water! She also has this sort of aura of- power, almost, around her.
Is the role play starting tomorrow? I'm so excited for this! I would love it if I could play my character for the most part, but it would be great if you could introduce her into the story somehow!

Here's what I have so far. Do not take it as final because I have done so little development. I'm thinking that they're outcasts from society, so maybe they could be mentioned as criminals or people not to be trusted. Not quite sure on the backstory yet. I don't want them to be bad guys, though. I'm sorry this is so little!
Also @Jaybells I'll have a lot of time to work on your critique while I'm in the car/plane (along with this) so I will have it ready to post by the time I've gotten to Hawaii. I'm so sorry it has taken so long, I have no excuse. If you want I could include a picturing or something as compensation, but I'm nowhere near as good at art as you are, so if you don't want me to that's fine.

Name: Crag
Nickname (optional):
Pronouns: Zae/zaer/zaerself; zae is definitely not male or female or anything that’s derived from them, but definitely has a gender. (Author's note: I just realized that two other characters use ze and ae XD)
Appearance: Crag is human and has black hair worn shoulder-length (and choppy because Kestrel (see below) cuts it), medium-light brown skin, and dark brown eyes. Zae is about seven or eight and wears whatever clothes zae can get and wears a bluish grey fur-lined cloak that buttons down the front. Zae has a green knitted scarf that one of zaer parents - zae doesn’t remember now - made that zae will never take off. Zae is pretty small. Zae has balance issues and uses a wooden staff to get around.
Personality: Untrusting, imaginative, and takes everything very seriously. Zae is pretty quiet and prone to worrying. However, zae also tends to be the person who gets things done when nobody else will. Zae wants to feel important, noticed, but is also rather scared of attention. Zae is never cold or cruel, but can’t be called warm or friendly either. Zae has a strong love for Kestrel, but is terrified that they are going to abandon zaem.
Magic: Zae can merge with rock, but only if it’s natural. Zae basically becomes part of the rock. Not sure yet about much other than that.
Species type: Zae is human (because I didn’t want to develop a new species XD)
Name: Kestrel
Nickname (optional):
Pronouns: They/them. Trans demiboy.
Appearance: They are about fifteen and have slightly lighter skin than Crag, darker brown eyes, and black hair that’s even choppier than Crag’s (because Crag cuts it), which is chopped a bit below their neck. They wear a floor-length black cloak even though it isn’t very warm over their normal clothes.
Personality: Bitter, easily angered, and sometimes mean when they don’t know you. They have a strong sense of dignity and often act arrogant. But when they’re alone with Crag, they become sweet, caring, and fun (even if they still get annoyed easily and get tired of Crag more often than Crag gets tired of them). They really hate being controlled.
Magic: They do have a familiar with whom they can speak; said familiar is a small mountain rat (Sand). I will include a basic sheet for ver below.
Name: Sand
Pronouns: ve/ver/verself
Appearance: A small, brown rat with a slightly fuzzy tail and big black eyes.
Personality: Loyal, brave, easily distracted.

Also, thanks for remembering the critique, and promising to post it when you get back! I was honestly just a little afraid you'd forgotten. I'd love it if you included a picturing for fun, you're a great artist too! I love your style! :>

If anyone ever tells you your art is bad, which I hope they never will, remember this: the way you draw dresses and drapery is incredible, and I love all the shading in your work, and your art always looks so polished and beautiful : )
And yes, I'm going to do a lot of work on the critique while we're in the plane/car and then by the time I have wifi again I should be able to post it. As I said, I truly have no excuse for it taking this long. Your plan sounds great!
