I take the snake and the crystal outside, then close my eyes. I will the snake to get bigger. Just a bit bigger, I wheedle. Yuka watches me from the cave. I push my energy through the crystal and into the snake. The snake starts to grow. yay! I did it!

Then the snake keeps growing. Now it is the size of a pony. Now a horse. Wait! I do not want this to happen!

But I can't do anything. Within a minute, the snake is big enough to swallow me whole. But it continues to lie there sleepily.

I warily approach it, stretching out my hand. It doesn't resist as I stroke it and gaze into its half-closed eye. Mythical creatures always did like me.

I turn back towards the cave. "Anyone want a ride?"

Yikes. A giant snake. But at least Mark knows how to control it, right? And surely a snake will get you to Conner faster, right Yuka? 

Hi! Sorry for not posting for so long! :/ I plan on being a lot more active in the future. 

Jiya - 

Mark's snake glides over the cave floors. Not surprisingly, I've never ridden a snake before. We straddle the snake, with Mark in the front. He's absentmindedly stroking its beautiful, shimmering scales. I'm a little more than nervous to be riding the large reptilian creature, so I focus on my surroundings, something that always calms me down. The cave is tunnel-like, which leads me to believe it may have once a home to a large burrowing creature. Whatever lived in this cave is long gone by now. Stalactites hang from the ceiling ominously. I don't allow myself to consider the possibility of them falling. 

Yuka explains that because the snake has been enchanted with the crystals, it should be attracted to them. Soon enough, we come across a formation of spire-shaped crystals, glowing a luminous ice blue. Yuka slides down the snake's side and collects the crystals. She places them delicately into her satchel. 

The cave widens into a cavern, with high arched ceilings. The snake comes to a screeching halt, sending me forward into Kusa, who's right in front of me. I mutter an apology, my hand going instinctively to the knife at my belt. 

"What's going on? Why'd we stop?" asks Jason. We look at Yuka, who we've come to look at whenever we need answers.

Yuka falters, her brow furrowing. "I-I don't know." We slide down off the snake and examine our surroundings. 

"There's nothing there that could've made the snake stop," Mark says, a hand resting on the snake's flank. 

Suddenly, Yuka's face unclouds. She stretches a hand in front of her, past where the snake stopped. 

It's barely visible, and only there for a fleeting second. But just for a moment, the air in front of us almost...ripples. 

Yuka shakes her head. "I knew it. There's a force field." 

"Force field?" asks Kusa. "Do you mean..."

"Conner's already here. He must have set up a base after all." Yuki swallows, her face draining of color. "It's warmer in the caves, and besides, he'd never think we'd find him here." 

"Can you break the force field?" asks Ajax timidly. 

Yuka closes her eyes and extends her arm. The air hums with electricity. However, when Yuka's eyes open again, her face looks downcast. She sighs. "No. It's too strong. Conner must have used a lot of crystals to create this force field. It can't be destroyed by my magic."

Why wasn't Seriani opening the forcefield? She obviously had the power to, so why was she refusing to try it? I didn't ask because I didn't want to anger her. Suddenly, a huge crash came from behind us. People were emerging from the forcefield. Everything seemed normal about these people, except for their eyes and movements. They seemed to glide over a strange mist. Their eyes were nearly black, but they were certainly emotionless. Then a shout came from a nearby cliff.

"Hey Yuka! You want the diamond, come get it!" Conner yelled.

When had he gotten to the other side of the cliff? I ran towards him. I felt myself pass through something but I didn't know what it was. I figured it out when I saw the others hit it. They couldn't pass through it. Well, I decided to go after Conner. Seriani should be able to help them. Conner was now running in the opposite direction of me. I kept chasing him until I managed to catch up with him. Neither of us were tired, so I was confused when Conner suddenly stopped. When I looked at his face, I could see he was terrified. When I saw what he was looking at, I knew that we would have to run.

A floating mass of energy. That's what it was. It consumed magic growing bigger and stronger until magic consumed it. It was called Magume. And this one was already huge. Then I remembered one more fact about them. When the magic consumed them, it would create a hole in reality. And this one was just about to be consumed. We couldn't use magic around it, so we ran. The Magume flung magical balls at us, destroying everything in its path. except us. We couldn't lead it to the barrier Conner had made to keep my friends out, seeing as it would just eat it. Then Conner turned towards the barrier. It was the far side. Away from my friends and his companions.

After we got there, the Magume consumed the barrier and the energy and magic tore a hole through reality. Now, it would be extremely dangerous to enter the reality hole. But conner knew that inside the hole, you could travel between universes, timelines, and realities. Conner might be traveling to a different reality. Well either way, he jumped in and I followed. Then I remembered that I had left a trail so that once the barrier was down , my comrades could follow me. This reality hole would close in about two days.

Inside the hole, I could see places. things, too. Things that didn't exist in our world. I caught one in my hand. It glowed and snaked around my wrist turning it into a bracelet. It was the shape of a vine with crystal flowers. I then felt my magic being absorbed by it. I tried to take it off, but it wouldn't budge. Then I realized that it wasn't all of my magic, just my protection magic and invisablity magic. The flowers then bloomed and I felt new magic inside me. Then I just let myself be dragged by the magical pull that had me and Conner in its grasp. We could do nothing but go along with the ride.

Ok, that was kinda long (sorry admins) and kinda weird. So, basically, I want yuka's companions to follow them through the reality hole and end up in a different reality. Maybe in a book world. Probably a book we have all read. How does that sound? Also, this is not the final battle with Conner. Conner ecsapes the book (if we are doing that reality before we do, with the diamond. That way they can explore the reality and they have to find the way out.

I disappeared for awhile, like in Auzrivlia, and I'm super sorry and I'll try to post really often now.

This roleplay, though, is SO. COOL.

I hide behind a tree, but the Megume quickly uproots it, and I barely manage to dodge.  As I watch, the creature- it's a very strange creature- rips a hole in reality itself.

Oh no... Yuka said it would happen...

She doesn't even hesitate.  She jumps right in.

I'm leaping toward the portal when something stops me.

What if I get stuck in there?  And what happens to the people who stay here?

Bold of you to assume they'd stay here, I remind myself, grinning slightly.  These are such a brave bunch.

I turn to the only companions I've ever had. "I think we should follow her." 

That gets... mixed responses.  There's excitement at adventure, but the same fears I had, of getting stuck in there.  Mark in particular is worried if the environment will be right for the snake.

No one really wants to stay here worrying in the cold, though.  We all want to make sure Yuka is all right (though we know very well she can take care of herself.) Plus, there's a sense of wanting to... prove our worth to the team.

"So, we going?" I ask. 

||Lyric||

It takes all my willpower to keep myself from saying anything "disrespectful" to the guard.  Gee, I wonder why?  I fume internally.  We definitely have no complaints at all about our way of living and see no flaw in it, we've been such good citizens and have not done a single thing against the law!

Complete silence is all the guard does get in response.

"No one?" he growls menacingly.  "No one has an answer for me?"

Not a single elf says a word.  No one even moves.  Lyric could hear the people near her breathing, it was so quiet.

"Well, I'll tell you something," hisses the guard.  "There's been rumors that Illis Starchaser is still alive, and if that bizarre rumor could possibly be true, anyone helping him in any way conceivable will be dealt with."

His accusing gaze swept across the crowd, staring into every terrified elf's eyes.  Lyric thought it might have hovered on her a beat longer than everyone else.

"If you are planning on escaping, buying or selling unauthorized items, or disappearing in the night to wherever it is you go, I strongly advise you to reconsider.  Security will be heightened from now on.  You will be watched.  You will always be watched."

Personally, I'd say Wings of Fire would be most interesting, but it's up to you guys! 

We could also do shows because I'm OBSESSED with the Owl House... 

Is it fine if the book world we go into is Wings of Fire? Also, which book would we go into?

Wings of Fire sounds good!  

Perhaps we could do it just after the first ten books?  After The Jade Mountain Prophecy, before The Lost Continent Prophecy?
