It was so rainy! I hope no one had to travel through the rain! Yuki, Kusa, and Ajax were still asleep. Jiya was reading a book on spells. I made a breakfast of pancakes with a side of berries. Everyone else woke up soon after I started. Yuki set the table after dusting it off. Kusa read books that I assume she brought, but who knows? It could have been anyone who brought them.

"Hey Jason, what did you do yesterday?" asked Jiya.

"I cleaned up around here," I answered. It actually wasn't all true. I did clean up, but I was also searching the room for any clues. While I cleaned. So it looked convincing.

"IT does look a lot cleaner..." said Kusa.

When breakfast was ready, everyone became chatty. We just talked about random stuff for a while. Such as the weather, what they did yesterday, what was growing in the community garden. That sort of thing.

I wake up bright and early today.  I'm actually kind of liking this... this weird feeling, like being a friend and a stranger all at once.  Like all the people in this room are from different worlds, but ours have become squished together, for better or for worse. 

I push the covers off me and Kumo, having been sleeping on them, hisses at me.  I head to the bathroom and change quickly, rubbing sleep out of my eyes.  "Nnn..." I grin.  "It's gonna be a good day today."

I'm the only one up, so I go outside and open my sack.  There's a few pairs of clothes in there, a cookie, my knife, my rope, and three books.  One is a notebook.  The second is a fantasy novel.  The third is the most recent textbook I stole, this one about math.  I work on a few problems.  I don't want to, exactly, but I do want to gain the knowledge of my grade level at least.  

I find a dead-looking tree and cut a nice sturdy branch out of it.  Chopping until it's a thin enough slice of wood, about as wide as a saucer, I begin to hack a tree design into it.  It takes a while, but eventually it's done, and it's pretty nice if I do say so myself. 

I tuck my wood carving into my pack and head back to the inn.  People are waking up.

I decided to test out one of my spells that I had before my other powers were unlocked. Conner taught it to me actually. Basically, you create a power void. It absorbs magical "residue". Basically, magic left behind from a spell that could "die" and become harmful. I head out to the place where I was practicing magic with Kusa. I summon the magic void and the magical residue around the rock disappears. I smile then head back.

Sorry for the short post! I will do an explanation for the side-characters to make this a little longer.

Basically, they will show up every so often, be part of the story, when they leave, they are no longer part of the story. Please tell me if I need to explain better. Also, please vreate some side characters!

I think everyone's character has appeared except Mark (Shining Star's) so once he shows up we can probably begin the journey!

Please join as soon as you can! IF you want to drop out, then do it soon so we can start. However, if you want to stay in, just introduce your character and we'll mostly take it from there.

I’m doing some shopping when I notice the poster.

Ten very skilled people? A yellow strip has been plastered to the poster saying “9 spots taken”. I gulp. I do need something to do with my life—but am I skilled enough?

I decide yes and study the address of the inn. Then I walk through the town, asking directions: the inn is hard to find! Finally I arrive at where it’s tucked between two other stores and ask for Yuki.

She comes downstairs looking tired, but stops when she sees me. “Have you come about the poster?”

I nod. “Yes, I’d like to help you.”

She looks relieved. “Oh thank goodness. I’d thought no-one would come.”

She fills me in on what she needs me for. I’m shocked. “Wow, Efra’s Diamond.”

She nods, looking angry. “I didn’t expect Connor to take it.”

I shake my head. “You can’t trust anyone. But can my griffon come with us?”

She seems surprised to hear I have a griffon. “Ok. We set out tomorrow.”
