The Hidden Power - Roleplay

Welcome to The Hidden Power Roleplay, otherwise know as THPRP! This is a roleplay that takes place in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender. When the non-benders revolted, those with the power to shape the elements had to go into hiding underground, in a set of hidden tunnels known to those living there as the Catacombs. But after the Avatar goes off on a dangerous mission and never returns, the benders start to panic. A new Avatar hasn't appeared yet, and it's soon revealed this is because of turmoil in the spirit world. The spirits have split themselves up, some taking the side of the non-benders and some the benders. They refuse to cooperate, and so a new Avatar cannot be born. Eventually, three benders from each element are chosen to leave the Catacombs and venture into the ruined world. 

Charrie sheet:

Name (please try to keep it something that would work in the ATLA universe! Don't name your character Charlotte or David. Instead, chose a rare name, like Katara or Aang.)

Pronouns

Element (remember that only three from each are allowed! Check to make sure there are still slots open for your element when you sign up.)

Appearance (think about traditional clothes from the nation your character is from. Obviously stuff will have changed so you can edit it some, but using the same colors is great.)

Personality (at least two negative and positive, at least one neutral)

Other (backstory, sexuality, shipping, anything you think might be important over the course of this roleplay)

Oh, and a couple rules. 

1. Avatar is NOT open. Do NOT try to sign up for the Avatar. Most people probably think this is common sense but there will always be that one person. 

2. Be respectful of others in this roleplay. 

3. No overpowered characters. Remember that bending does take a toll on its user.

4. Roleplaying with others' characters a bit for the sake of advancing the story is okay, but nothing major. For example, if you played Bob and your friend played Joe, you wouldn't say "Bob fought Joe, but eventually overpowered him. 'Fine,' Joe panted from the ground. 'Go into the stronghold, I don't care.' Bob did so, stepping on Joe's fingers as he crossed the threshold for good measure." 

5. As there are limited spots in this roleplay, one character per person.

6. If you just comment "Reserving!" I won't be able to tell which element you want and I'll just leave a random open slot for you. If you'll take any element, that's fine, but if you have a specific one in mind make sure to say "Reserving for Fire!" or something along those lines.
