Dragon Riders RP ~ Revival

Hello, everyone. A few of you may remember the Dragon Rider’s RP from a while ago, but most of you probably don’t, because it drifted through the pages of the Inkwell pretty inconsistently. But I missed it, so I decided we could start anew… You don’t have to have been part of the original rp to join. We’re starting from scratch this time...

~backstory~

In the land of Emarya, the citizens and dragon riders have coexisted for centuries. The Riders simply wanted peace and safety for their people and their dragons, and the kings and queens of Emarya respected that. But one day, the current queen of Emarya mysteriously disappeared and was replaced by a new king - a mysterious man known only as Azazel. 

Azazel wants power over Emarya and all the surrounding areas - including Equidron, the Dragon Rider’s territory. The Dragon Riders, of course, refuse to give up their homeland, and now the Riders are on the brink of war with Azazel and his supporters. 

In Equidron, the Riders are preparing a plan known as the Lunar Sun Plan. The Lunar Sun is a time when the sun and moon both hit their peak. Every dragon gains power from either sunlight or moonlight, fueling them to fly faster and work harder. When the moon and sun are both out, the dragons will be strongest - and it may offer their only chance at defeating Azazel. 

The future of Equidron is at stake. The Lunar Sun is two weeks out, and six young riders will be working together to form a unit of dragons and riders. If all goes according to plan, they will be saved… but if not, it means the end for the dragon riders.

Name: Luuma [full name Luuma Solsticia] 

Age: ...uhh, 25? 

Gender/Pronouns: she/they is preferred. 

Dragon Rider or Dragon? dragon. 

If dragon, are they a sun or moon dragon?: moon. i know it sounds like sun, but luuma is derived from luna, which means moon. so there. 

Appearance: a silvery dragon with folded spikes along her tail. black eyes and pure white horns. they have silver chains draped on their horns, and a singular golden chain hanging from their neck. [if its not too much to ask, could she have a sun dragon brother named apollo who looks just like luuma but is golden and has white eyes and golden chains and a singular silver chain? if so, apollo is a little bit of a pushover, and very stubborn. strangely optimistic, he/they pronouns, and he's a side character so we don't have to worry about him too much :) just include him in your post however you like, as long as he fits the personality. if he's accepted.] luuma also has sharp claws, adorned with silver rings with rubies in them. 

Personality: quite shy, but tries to be helpful. thinks depressive thoughts a lot of the time. very observant, and can come off as intimidating [especially with their black eyes roaming everywhere, studying every inch of new terrain.] 

Backstory (parents, how they came to be in Equidron, etc): UHHH idk who their parents are, if it's not too much to ask, one sun, one moon dragon. names? sun = golden [female, she/her.], moon = lune [female, she/her.]. also yes, she has two moms. got a problem? anyways, she and her brother are adopted. golden died several years after apollo was adopted, and lune committed suicide a month after golden died [due to UHHH we'll say depression.] apollo and luuma are still very close, as luuma was 13 and apollo was 11 when their parents died. they moved to equidron, saying something about "A new start". they've been darting around in the woods- only luuma's Rider are extremely close with them. apollo's rider...well, let's just say he doesn't have one. HES WORKING ON IT THOUGH-

Shipping?: uh...sure, why not. *internally chanting SHIP! SHIP! SHIP! SHIP! SHIP!*

so, here we go-

name: nocturne vex [alias: narnia fowl] 

age: *has no idea* uhh...17 ig. 

gender/pronouns: she/they, bi ace enby

dragon rider or dragon? dragon rider

appearance: black raven-colored hair with sparkling green eyes with gold flecks in them. paleish skin. wears a black cloak, a hunter-esque outfit, black boots, and has a bow and a quiver of arrows on her at all times. a belt with several things, including vials of poison, daggers, first aid kits, water canteen, dried food, notebook and pen, etc. wears a silver diadem-looking thingie, and has a silver bracelet secured on her wrist. 

personality: quiet and cold and intimidating. rarely speaks, when they warm up to you theyre very kind. still very observant. a "ask-questions-first-then-kill" type of person: they really only want information, bc as their motto states, "knowledge is power". theyre not greedy for power, they just want to make sure it passes to the right hands. 

backstory: an orphan of sorts. at 6, their parents had all died. they ran off into the woods, and was cared for by a wolf. she learnt wolf mannerisms and such, and learnt to survive. never really had a childhood. 

their dragon is luuma. [call luuma lune if you'd like. luuma quite likes it.] 

shipping: uhh sure? 

other: if its okay, can nocturne be half wolf? if so, ima just say bc nocturne was like pushed away and stuff bc she had wolf ears and whatnot, they were never trained to be a dragon rider, they just had a close bond with luuma. so, when the evil ruler rose, she saw this as a perfect chance to reedeem themself.

Oh! I forgot to say this... When I said one charrie per person, I meant one HUMAN charrie per person. So you're allowed to have one human and one dragon if you so please.

@Peregrine, I think we'll probably be starting anew, because I feel it'd be too complicated to pick up where we left off, you feel me?

Spots are now closed! Here's my first character, and I'll post the dragon charrie immediately after. (this is my character from the original RP I'm so glad to bring her back :D)

Name: Alexandria (call her Lexi)

Age: fifteen
Gender/Pronouns: female, she/her/hers
Dragon rider or Dragon?: Dragon rider 
Appearance: She is pretty tall, about 5'10". She has long brown hair, down to her belly button, which she keeps tied up in a ponytail, braid, or bun almost constantly. She has big brown eyes, an oval face, fair skin, and everything about her is skinny.
Personality: She is kind but very headstrong and proud to a fault. She wants to do things her way. She can also be very fierce and even vicious at times. All she REALLY wants is revenge on Azazel. However, she does have soft spots and is sypmathetic to struggling people, especially kids.
Background: Her mother died before she was born. Her father, a very experienced dragon rider, was killed in a conflict 3 years ago involving Azazel and his supporters. She's still not completely sure what exactly went down, but what she does know is that she wants her revenge! (This background is subject to change in order to link it to other charries)
If dragon, who is their dragon rider, and if dragon rider, who is their dragon? (We'll figure this out the same way we do with shipping): Her dragon is Kayda.
Shipping? yes or no: Like I said, she is proud to a fault, so she might be too proud to have a man... But if it is the perfect fit, then yes

Holy cow admins, 3 minutes and my last post is already up?? thanks! here's my dragon charrie :))

Name: Kayda

Age: idk how dragon ages work, but I don't think they're that important, so I'll say she is ten in human years.
Gender/Pronouns: female, she/her/hers
Dragon rider or Dragon?: Dragon
Appearance: Her scales are bright white with hints of gold/yellow and very sparkly. She's a reasonably sized dragon, and her eyes are dark black.
Personality: Basically goes along with whatever Lexi does. If Lexi likes a person, so does Kayda. If Lexi hates someone, Kayda will breath fire all over them. However, she does enjoy making friends with people and dragons. She's very protective of Lexi and will do almost anything for her.
Background: Kayda's mother used to be Lexi's father's dragon, but she became too old for flying, so Kayda was adopted as Lexi's father's new dragon. When he died, Kayda became Lexi's dragon.

Name: Andrei Lamont

Age: 16 or 17
Gender/Pronouns: Male-ish, he/xe
Dragon Rider or Dragon?: Dragon Rider
(Not dragon)
Appearance: About average height, maybe a little on the short side. Short, dark brown hair that's reasonably neat. Sharp, vibrant green eyes. Fair skin. He has a large scar going vertically through the left side of his lip, and many more scars are all across his body.  He usually wears casual, well-worn clothing.
Personality:  Intense and very protective of those he cares about. Xe's somewhat of a genius, especially when it comes to mathematics. He seems to take pleasure in breaking and bending rules and laws, but seems to enjoy breaking the boundaries of his own imagination first and foremost. Xe refuses to let anything or anyone stand in his way, but he's not unkind or controlling. He can be difficult to work with due to his intensity and extreme determination, but around those he cares about he shows a much gentler and calmer version of himself. Surprisingly good-humored. Probably capable of murder. 
Backstory: Andrei's parents are unknown--xe has been an orphan his entire life, and never had any interest in finding out who they were. He lived on the streets of a large city, and eventually joined up with a gang of fellow orphans, where he learned how to throw and use knives. Xyr intelligence was also discovered then in the form of planning heists and robberies. Due to infighting, the gang eventually disbanded and Andrei decided it was time to move on. He travelled throughout Emarya for some time, before eventually getting on the wrong side of a group of Azazel's soldiers, and getting his scar in the ensuing fight. Xe snuck across the border to Equidon (along with some of the soldiers' stolen equipment), where  a group of dragon riders took pity on xem and taught him to become one of them. Xe has little interest in the actual outcome of the war and is more interested in the money he could make as a soldier.
If dragon, who is their rider, and if rider, who is their dragon?:  Xyr dragon is Agnar.
Shipping: Sure. With any gender.
Other: None. 
Name: Torbjorn
Age: Like twelve-ish in human years?
Gender/Pronouns: He/him
Dragon rider or dragon?: Dragon.
Sun or moon?: Moon.
Appearance:  Pale grey and silver scales, with icy blue fur running down his back. Huge wings with ice blue webbing, and a long tail tipped with a tuft of fur. He has long, antler like silver horns. Quite large, with a decidedly vicious look. His eyes are bright yellow.j
Personality: Cold and measured, matching his rider in terms of cunning but far less intense. Torbjorn is much gentler and calmer, but equally as protective. A more caring version of his rider, essentially.
Backstory: Torbjorn had been passed around from rider to rider, but never being quite the right dragon for anyone--until eventually, Andrei came. The two were a perfect match, balancing each other out and working together well. 
Shipping: No.
Other: None.

I just wanted to ask a few things:

1. I'm pretty sure these are western dragons, right? I'm decently sure, but thought I would check.

2. Is there any connection to the real world at all? My charrie is a real-world race (or possibly they're biracial, depending on if I have time to research one that I'm not familiar with) and has bits of culture from that real world race (older culture things, though) and I was hoping this would work out. If that's not common, maybe the charrie's family could have been brought here by a portal or something? I'd really like to keep the character being that race/those races, though.

3. I'm assuming this is a medieval fantasy-esque world? If not, a little description would be useful. Although the description of the main plot was really great.
