Gusts of wind
Gusts of wind sent puffs of gray dirt continually circling around the old battlefield. The charred skeletons of what people once called trees were dotted around. Ancient swords crusted with blood littered the ground. It was said that not even the Arch Nymph could make a single blade of grass grow here again.
Suddenly a women with white hair and turquoise skin appeared, shivering. The sudden pop of color was a lily in a field of poppies, a brunette among an army of blonds. She drew a bell from her pocket and shook it, issuing a silvery, melodic sound. A couple feet away from her a sword glowed, and the same sound came tinkling back.
The white haired women sighed as though a great weight had been lifted from her. She walked over to the glowing sword and knelt down. "Bless the seas Glyne," she said, tears spilling from her eyes, "You certainly gave everyone a scare."
