Hello everyone, I have been absent from the Chatterbox for some time now, in protest against the impersonation of my sister, Hummingbird. I read the thread, you know, the Forest RP, on which she was impersonated, and I feel deeply the need to speak out. Whoever the impersonater was, they commited a horrible act, and hurt someone I love very much, and I don't let that slide. If you are reading this, and you are an impersonater, JUST STOP. What you are doing is awful, hurtful, and pointless. It may make you feel better, but in the end, you just made people confused and angry. I would never wish impersonation on anyone, but I almost hope you feel the helpless fury that it brings out in people. I know most of you reading this are great people and would never do that kind of thing, and, @impersonaters, you are surrounded by people who disapprove of what you are doing EVERY TIME YOU CHATTERBOX. Comment frustrating Imp experiences, this is kind of a rant thread.

I have never been impersonated, and I have only been on the CB for a couple months, but I have seen other CBers - CBers who gave me a warm welcome when I joined, CBers who complimented my work, CBers who didn't do anything to deserve this - being impersonated. And it's wrong. Even if they did something to you, or if you something against them, THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO SOLVE IT. Returning hate with more hate does nothing. If anything, it makes it worse. And the chatterbox is supposed to be an accepting place. How can it be accepting if CBers live in fear of being impersonated? If you're impersonating because you have something to say but are afraid to say it under your name, think, why? Is it mean and hurtful? Are you trying to hurt another CBer? Or is it something personal, such as a confession or asking for advice? If it's the first one, DON'T POST IT. Especially don't post it under someone else's name. If it's the second one, consiter posting completely anonymously, in a thread such as the Confessions thread. But don't impersonate. And if you are an impersonater, speak up. I can't speak for the other CBers, but I'll be angry, sure, but I'll forgive you. And you won't have that guilt of impersonating on your chest. And if you have been impersonated, remember. It's not about you. It's about them. You're still an amazing person. You still deserve to be treated with respect. And you still have a community of people who love you right here on the Chatterbox. Stay strong. <3

P.S. Firebird, I'm SO SO SO SO sorry your sister was impersonated and left the CB. I did read bits of the forest RP and I felt so terrible. I still do feel terrible. *sends hugs and a 2 cups of positivitea, one for you and one for Hummingbird*

I agree that for the most part, the CB is a great place to be, and I am really glad to be a part of this lovely society. Society? Returning hate with hate is, yes, not ideal, but I wrote the original in a hot moment, and sometimes asking nicely just doesn't do the job. I would love to have a better solution, and if you have a better one, PLEASE post it. Thanks for the hugs! And BTW, welcome to the CB!

I know, right?! Impersonators are the WORST!

So, what I do when I'm confused, is I just listen to music (Like The Monkees, especially the ones sung by Mike Nesmith, my new crush), and while I do that, I talk to myself, write, and read.

That's the way that I deal with confusion, anger, etc. 

Oh, that, and wishin' I could get my Nintendo Switch Lite with games on it RIGHT NOW, BUT NOOOOO I HAVE TO WAIT TILL MY DAD THINKS 'BOUT IT!!!!!!!

Thanks for the support and suggestions! I am a Lindsey Stirling fan myself. Hope you get that Switch, tho since my dad works for Microsoft, I must suggest the Xbox as an alternative XDXDXD
