Ok this is

Ok this is my story, it is called “Despair on Moonrise Horizon”! It is about Harry Potter mostly (yeah it is a FANFIC XD OwO!) however it might feature stuff from other things! Like Hunger Games (really good) and maybe even Pathologic!!! (That is a video game, it is very good. I like it a LOT.) 
Ok so anyways, here is chapter one! I hope you enjoy it!
Chapter One!
My name is Ruby Angst and I’m going to Hogwarts. It’s my seventh year there! (Also I am 18.) Which means I totally gotta go out with a BANG! Which is why I decided to dye my hair bright red and put on lots of eyeliner and red eyeshadow, also red lipstick! I also decided to wear bright red platform shoes and a black skirt with red accents.
So anyways I was walking up to Hogwarts when someone touched me on the shoulder. I spun around to see someone wearing a purple three-piece suit and a super-scary bird mask! 
“Um who are you?” I said. 
“Terrible things are going to happen…” they said, then completely vanished. Wow, that was really weird I thought, chills going down my spine. Oh well it is probably just someone playing a prank. I kept walking, then I saw my best friend so I started running towards her! 
“Hi!” I shouted. My best friend is named Misty Morkins and she is also eight teen! She has long wavy black hair, olive skin, and a tattoo of a pink cat on her shoulder! She is so awesome. 
“Hi Ruby!!” She shouted back. “I LOVE your hair!!”
“Thank you!!!” We got on a thestral carriage together. I could see the thestral but I don’t wanna say why, it is very personal. 
The carriage ride was super bumpy and we almost lost our bags twice. But then we finally got to the school finally. I looked up at the huge gates. They were almost like a portal to another dimension……
We got off the carriage and then went into the school. Misty and I are both Gryffindors so we went to hang out with the other gryffindor kids who all looked at me in awe. I guess my hair color change must have surprised them!! 
We sat down at the long tables in the dining hall as the new kids got assigned to their houses. For a second I swore I saw the weird bird-mask guy standing behind Dumbledore but then he was gone. Hmm, that is weird I thought. But nobody said anything so I guess my eyes must have been playing tricks on me!
That was when I noticed there was no teacher at the Defense Against the Dark Arts spot. “Misty” I said, “Who is the teacher for Defense against the dark Arts going to be?”
Misty shrugged, “Idk, maybe there just isn't one yet. We probably shouldn’t worry about it though!”
“Hmm ok.” But then two people showed up there! One was a very strong-looking man with a white three-piece suit and the other one was a very skinny pale-skinned man with a black three-piece suit, they looked very mysterious.
“These are our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers,” Dumbledore said. “They are Mork Fishback and Eef Nest. You can call them Professor Annus and Professor Unus though, Unus Annus is latin for one year. Which is how long they will be teaching here!!”
“We’ve never had two teachers in that position before,” Misty whispers.
“Yea,” I say. “Suuuuper weird.”
But then dinner continued and we were too busy eating to keep talking. Eventually it was time for bed so the heads of the houses led all the kids to their dorm rooms. So far today has been pretty exciting, but also a little scary! I hoped the rest of the year would also be exciting but I could do without the scary part. Then I fell asleep.

Intriguing! It makes me want to find out what is going to happen next! Bird-Mask and the professors are really interesting, and I just can't wait to find out more! It's looking good!

Chapter Two!!!!!!

It was a super bright morning and the sun hurt my eyes really really bad. I wasn’t really sure why! Misty was standing over me though.

“What’s up?” I asked.

“C’mon we’re gonna be late!”

“Wait really!”

“Yeah look at the time.” I did and jumped in shock! We were already five mins late to our first class! Oh no oh no oh no, I thought. This is so bad!

I got dressed super quick which meant I didn’t have time for makeup. Today I wore a pink skirt and a white t-shirt and pink boots. Misty grabbed my hand and dragged me down to our first class, which was defense against the dark arts.
“Ow ow ow! Don’t drag me so hard, you’ll dislocate my wrist!” Misty instantly let go of my hand.

“Oh em gee! I’m so sorry I didn’t mean to hurt you! Please please forgive me?” Tears started to build up in her eyes and for a second I thought I was gonna cry too, but I shook away the sadness and laughed.

“No worries. You’re my best friend!” She smiled at me and we went into the dark arts room. 

Professors Unus and Annus were at the front of the room, about to begin teaching. Misty and I snuck into the room and sat down, thankfully nobody noticed us. Otherwise we’d have been in so much trouble!

Before Unus and Annus could start the class there was a sudden scream from in the hallway. “What on Earth!?” Misty yelled. Her and I both rushed to the door along with all the other kids.

“Wait for us!” Unus called. “We’re professionals, we can handle this!”

But I didn’t wait for them, instead I sprinted into the hall. There was a strange lump on the ground, so I ran towards it. It was Draco Malfoy, and he’d been stabbed!

“That’s not--supposed to happen,” I stammered. “No no n--”

But then he opened his eyes and the stab wound was gone. “Haha,” he laughed. “Tricked you.” I felt heat rise to my face as I glared at him.

“Stupid Slytherins,” I muttered. “Always tricking everyone.”

Unus and Annus called us back to the class, since there wasn’t anything actually wrong. “Ok! Let’s get this started!”

But somehow, I drifted off to sleep!

Chapter 3!

In my dream I was walking in the woods, walking on an old old dirt path in the woods. I could hear birds singing all around me. At the end of the path there was the Bird-Mask man!

"Who are you!" I shouted. "Why are you in my dream!"

He didn't say anything to me. "That doesn't matter," He said. 

"It matters to m--"

"RUBY!" I was woken up by Misty shaking me and whispering loudly in my ear!

"You almost slept through the bell!" Misty said. All the other kids were leaving.

"What did I miss?" I asked. 

"Not much, mostly Unus and Annus just introduced themselves to us," Misty said. "C'mon we're gonna be late again!! We have potions next and you now how much Snape hates it when we're late!!"

"Yeah I sure do know," I said then we walked down to the Potions room. But there was a sign on the door!

It said: SNAPE IS NOT HERE TODAY, POTIONS KIDS MUST REPORT TO DINING ROOM FOR STUDY HALL.

"What on England??" I said. "This has not happened before!!"

"Yeah," Misty said, "Super weird. Actually a lot this year has been super weird. That's super weird!"

"You're right!" I said then we went to the dining room. There were not many kids in there, just a couple.

Misty and I sat down at the Gryffindor table. There was one other kid there, some boy with his hair in a ponytail who was sleeping on the table. Strangely enough he wore a hufflepuff scarf.

"Should we tell him he's at the wrong table?" Misty asked.

"No," I said. "Let's let him sleep." But something about him felt off. He looked just as old as Misty and I but I had never seen him before! In fact he seemed to radiate a strange aura of darkness. Misty and I moved farther away from him.

"So what are we supposed to study? We don't really have any work," Misty said.

"I don't know," I said.

Then suddenly, there was footsteps! A teacher burst into the room.

"Hey did you see a hufflepuff boy in here, he had his hair in a ponytail," They said.

"Yeah he's right...there…" but when I looked down the table the boy had vanished.

The teacher looked very concerned but they said nothing, they simply thanked us and then ran away.

Wow! This story is great so far! I love the character names, and the dialoge seems very realistic. It's very mysterious, and I can't wait to see what happens next! 

By "What characters should i add to the story??," do you mean a character from the series (such as Neville Longbottom), or a character we make up? If you need a character we make up, you can use Jasira Yarrow. I'll put a descripton of her below. 

Jasira is a 7th-year Ravenclaw, with straight blonde hair cut off just below her shoulders, tanned skin, and freckles. She's a half-blood; her mom's a witch, but her dad's a Muggle. She's very smart, as her House implies, and is usually found in the library. She's a bit antisocial at times, and prefers to be left alone and read, but once you're her friend, she's very pleasant to be around. She always speaks up for a cause she believes in. Despite being a Ravenclaw, her favorite teacher is the Gryffindor Head-of-House, Professor McGonagall. Jasira's best subjects are potions (though she doesn't like Snape), transfiguration, and charms. Her hobbies include reading, writing in her journal, practicing spells, and learning about magical creatures.

Chapter four (jasira is in this one!!! @pangolin!!!)
Misty and I decided to play tic tac toe since we had nothing else to do. And then we spotted Jasira Yarrow! Jasira Yarrow was a super popular girl from Ravenclaw and she was in our potions class.
"Ugh I bet Jasira is going to have a 100 in this class by the end of the week," Misty groaned.
"Well yeah she is a ravenclaw, what did you expect" I said wondering why Misty had not thought of this lol.
Then the bell rang and it was time for our next class, which was a class with Hagrid. He told us about creatures called niflings, they were very weird mole creatures that could smell gold! Of course they were attracted to me right away because of my golden personality. 
“OMG these things are so cute!” one kid said while holding them, I totally agreed. 
“We should give them names!” Misty suggested. Everyone else agreed. I named mine Memento and Misty named hers Mori.
Suddenly I heard a rustling in the woods! Nobody else seemed to notice though.
“Misty hold him for me” I handed Memento to Misty.
“Why.” She asked.
“I uhhhh need uhhhh to uhhh get uhhh something,” I explained to her, luckily she did not ask any questions! I ran towards the rustling, suddenly something grabbed my ankle and pulled me into the woods!
“Hey what was that about” I asked very calmly because I am very calmly. The bird mask man was there!! He was wearing very awful shoes, they had teeth attached to the bottom and they were red! (the shoes not the teeth lol)
“You have five days…” he said in a very spooky voice. “Find out what is going on……… or else……….”
“That does not sound very good!” I stated smartly.
“It is not” he said.
Than I was back at class! But everyone was screaming!
“What is going on,” I asked.
“Harry Potter is dead!!!!!” A person yelled.
“What?!” I screamed.
