New Story Idea . . .
I'm starting another novel. Again :,)
Yeeeesss the two other novels are both on hold. Same goes for the other two long stories I was working on. I'm terrible at finishing things but I'm fine at starting them! (If they are stories)
The title is currently Discount Deities. It's about a girl whose name is Anna who is enrolling at a private boarding school in a city with a very high crime rate. In this world people purchase "gods," which are really spirits that float around your head protecting you, for a set amount of time. Anna forgets to buy one and she needs to so right before she gets on the train she rushes to a shop called "Discount Deities" which is basically filled with gods for sale who are very inexpensive but also have very strange, not very useful powers. However, people without a god or with a very lame one to protect them in that city get shunned -- they (the gods) are more than just security guards. There is more to it than that but I am too lazy to type it out so yeeeeeeah.
Could y'all please help me with coming up with powers (both lame and not) for them? Thanks, because I don't have many yet.

- the ability to photosynthesize
- the ability to see UV rays
- the ability to identify the nearest object with the composition of udon noodles (helpful for finding places to eat I guess)
- the ability to speak Dutch specifically

-can sing the most annoying songs in a "BEE-YOU-TEE-FUL" voice
-can touch cacti with out being poked (or is it stung?)
- can breathe underwater but it doesn't work when they are wet
- can turn into a king of a teeeeeeeeeeeeny kingdom for one minute only

helpful powers:
- the ability to search for information in others' minds
- the ability to never forget anything
- the ability to see a person's movements a few seconds before they do it
- the ability to always know where you are, like a giant map of the whole city where everything is helpfully labelled
- the ability to be very resistant to pain
- the ability to give people instant karma- good or bad
not so helpful powers (invented on the spot):
- the ability to only turn invisible in pitch back darkness
- the ability to automatically know if food has gone bad or not
- the ability to always know what someone wants for their birthday
- the ability to put together a LEGO set with your eyes closed
- the ability to get a nickel whenever you sneeze
- the ability to turn anything flavored coconut into dust
- the ability to open doors without touching them

@Silver Crystal if you could turn coconuts into dust and get a nickel when you sneeze, you could go to a coconut tree, turn it into dust, inhale the dust, sneeze a lot, and get money!
